Your thoughts?
What do you think of Farrah Fawcett's looks?
by Anonymous | reply 173 | February 26, 2023 10:35 PM |
She had a fucked up ass.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | April 30, 2022 1:36 AM |
Naturally pretty and buff before it was really fashionable for women to be buff.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 30, 2022 1:38 AM |
Too many teeth.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 30, 2022 2:03 AM |
Beautiful despite the square jaw
It was more about her charisma
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 30, 2022 2:54 AM |
Terrible actress tho
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 30, 2022 3:39 AM |
She's got teeth like a Piranha.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 30, 2022 3:44 AM |
I begged for the Farrah hair styling bust as a boy but that birthday and Christmas desire was denied. I remain convinced that the Toni Tennille/Dorothy Hamill cut would have melted decades off of Miss Fawcett’s middle aged appearance.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 30, 2022 3:58 AM |
Why do people on DL keep asking a bunch of gay men what they think about women’s looks? We don’t care!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 30, 2022 4:04 AM |
I understand her as an icon but I never personally found her beautiful. She had a weird nose and bony face. I guess in the 70’s during the disco era it worked. It seemed like it was all her hair cause she has an old lady face to me. Without that hair she’d look like the pervert from Family Guy.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 30, 2022 4:16 AM |
Her fantastic Ultra Brite smile had massive sex appeal to young and old, gay and straight, black and white, etc.

She had...a look. You need...a look.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 30, 2022 4:35 AM |
beautiful with amazing hair all of her life until she became ill in her last years. Her only child is in the state pen and is a lost cause.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 30, 2022 4:39 AM |
The epitome of 70s beauty. She glowed.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 30, 2022 4:49 AM |
Anyone know what she ever saw in Ryan O'neal?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 30, 2022 4:54 AM |
Come to think of it she would have been about 17 when Payton Place went on the air. Probably an unfortunately consummated teenage crush.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 30, 2022 5:08 AM |
OP, I'm afraid they've long since rotted away.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 30, 2022 5:09 AM |
I think she took it up the ass once too often.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 30, 2022 5:19 AM |
Why she even though about hooking up with O’Neal is a mystery of all time.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 30, 2022 3:51 PM |
R9, I have concluded it's one sick fuck who does this. And replies to their own threads. And then starts another thread. Repeat.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 30, 2022 6:19 PM |
Reportedly much prettier in person
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 30, 2022 6:28 PM |
I do think Fawcett was charismatic. She wasn’t prettier than other actresses (in fact, her face was a little severe) and she was certainly a just-this-side-of-competent actress most of the time, but she was someone you wanted to watch. A lot of stars are like this - they’re just inextricably compelling.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 30, 2022 6:39 PM |
^^ i think I meant “inexplicably”
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 30, 2022 6:40 PM |
I was watching The Six Million Dollar Man on Cozi the other day. It was the episode where pre-fame Farrah made her first appearance as Major Kelly Wood, without all the big hair and big teeth. She was a lovely looking woman, but fairly nondescript, like any other pretty blonde on TV. It was the big hair, sparkly teeth, and bubbly personality that made her stand apart from the rest.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | April 30, 2022 6:44 PM |
The thing I do think she’s good in is “Murder in Texas” (1981) It’s not a demanding part, but she seemed more natural than usual.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 30, 2022 6:50 PM |
In the 70s she was stunningly beautiful.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 30, 2022 10:05 PM |

R31, what all do you think is wrong with her nose? Just wondering.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 1, 2022 3:39 AM |
My favorite feature of hers were her eyes.
She wasn't the greatest actress but I think she was pretty good. She definitely excelled in more dramatic roles (The Burning Bed) but my favorite role of hers will always be in Charlie's Angels. The acting and writing on the show was far from top tier but it is the relationship between the three girls where you could tell they just loved each other on and off screen there was a true sisterhood there and it was what makes the first season so watchable for me. I know that when it comes to the original angels some prefer the looks of Jaclyn Smith and while Smith was more of the "classical beauty" I always found her beauty to be somewhat boring to me. But there is something about Farrah that just catches your eye and steals your attention maybe it's the hair, the sun kissed skin, the perky tits, or the charisma but she definitely had the "it factor". (Personally though I always preferred the tomboyish looks of Kate Jackson. Yes, I'm a les.)
I know that it is a terrible movie but I always loved how she looked in the film Myra Breckenridge that she did early in her career. There are a lot of photos of her without the iconic hairdo to prove that her looks went beyond her hair.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 1, 2022 3:40 AM |
It was that hair that made her a beauty icon. Otherwise, she was a generic good looking blonde.

She was ravishing in Charlie’s Angels . Such charisma. I wish you had stayed for the five years on that show. Her life may have turned out much differently

Looked like Madonna
by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 1, 2022 6:53 PM |
Even the hair wasn't real most of the time. Her own was all pushed forward, and a fall added at the back for more volume.

by Anonymous | reply 45 | May 2, 2022 8:33 PM |
She had the face of the moment. Cheryl Tiegs and Cybill Shepherd were similar types: All-American blondes with great smiles. She also had insane sex appeal for straight men: When she was an undergraduate at the University of Texas, so many men wanted to date her that she had to book multiple dates per day--lunch, dinner, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 2, 2022 8:50 PM |
She was gorgeous but something happened to her nose that changed her whole face.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 2, 2022 9:02 PM |
R47, what all do you think was wrong with her nose? Did she get a nose job, did it get broken, etc.? Just wondering.

I think it’s just as she aged and naturally lost flesh it appeared bonier as more cartilage was revealed.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | May 2, 2022 10:05 PM |
It's too bad that now she's skinnier than Karen Carpenter.

Neither Tiegs nor Shepherd did anything for me but I thought Farrah was gorgeous.

by Anonymous | reply 54 | May 3, 2022 12:32 AM |
R51 Neither Tiegs nor Shepherd did anything for me but I thought Farrah was gorgeous.
Cybill Shepherd was objectively about 10 times more beautiful than Fawcett. Now that was [italic]a face.[/italic]
For that matter, Ladd, Hack and Roberts (not to mention guest star Kim Basinger) outclassed Fawcett in looks. They didn’t have Fawcett’s curious impact on the small screen, however… though Basinger went on to far surpass her when it came to movies.
In general Fawcett’s legend hasn’t aged well.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | May 3, 2022 12:48 AM |
Of all the Angels, Farrah aged the worst. She was skins and bones, and her skin had weathered by too much Malibu sunshine. And her face and nose were no longer the same. This was years before she got sick.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | May 3, 2022 6:40 AM |
Excuse me, Mr. OP!!
I was the great beauty of the 1970s.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | May 3, 2022 6:54 AM |
Farrah was a lesbian who bearded for Lee majors. Ryan O'Neal is also gay.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | May 3, 2022 6:59 AM |
What I want to know is how Farrah and Ryan ended up with a child that looks as bad as Redmond.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | May 3, 2022 7:39 AM |
R59 Farrah and Ryan are not that attractive. The fame and charisma make them so hot. Tatum was not attractive either. Also, gays tend to be more attractive then the rest of family.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | May 3, 2022 11:35 AM |
I blocked this fucking troll posting: what do you think about so and so's looks. Truly one of the cuntiest trolls in a very long time.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | May 3, 2022 11:40 AM |
Her nose changed during the 80s and became bony and thin which changed her face. I don't know if this was due to cocaine or violence from Ryan, but it changed her from a beauty to odd looking. She also lost weight which made her look scrawny. I know someone who saw her in the early 80s and said she was breathtakingly beautiful.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | May 3, 2022 4:10 PM |
She has the same “it” factor that Britney had — innate southern Charm/ likeability, sweet and pretty like the girl next door. And she was awesome in Burning Bed

Cheryl Tiegs and Susan Blakely were two of the most WTF? models ever. So plain and frauish.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | May 3, 2022 5:44 PM |
Susan Blakley really did, surprisingly, take the modeling world by storm - - so successful that she just breezed across some covers and straight on to Hollywood.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | May 3, 2022 6:10 PM |
A lot of the clothes those 70s models had to wear were if-ily unfortunate. I doubt Susie asked to keep this one Nellie Oleson getup.
(And in BROWN! God.)
by Anonymous | reply 68 | May 3, 2022 6:14 PM |
Agreed
by Anonymous | reply 69 | May 3, 2022 10:10 PM |
She seems like the Jennifer Aniston of the 70s to me. Beautiful hair, nice teeth, healthy glow and thin, athletic body. Seemed friendly and non-threatening but also sexy and independent. Married some hot guys. Was more of a TV star than a Hollywood one. Her face was kinda masculine but the big hair softened her features. Jaclyn Smith was absolutely gorgeous. And Kate Jackson, Tanya Roberts and Cheryl Ladd were way more conventionally prettier

Farrah had a bad nose. She was lesbian. Don't believe a thing she says. Her relationships were fake.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | May 5, 2022 1:08 AM |
If she was indeed a lesbian, which I have trouble believing, who would her partners have been? And wouldn’t at least one of them have come forward and written a book by now?
(Or maybe she just went to bars in the Valley in glasses and a black wig.)

by Anonymous | reply 79 | May 5, 2022 1:49 AM |
Too strong/square a jaw and too strong a nose. But somehow it worked. I guess it was the hair tan and teeth.
But Jaclyn Smith was SO much prettier.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | May 5, 2022 2:04 AM |
I think prettier than Bo Derek or Lauren Hutton.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | May 5, 2022 2:05 AM |
Fawcett did some weird money-grab merchandising in the late 70s where you could buy “The Faucet” - a pin in the shape of a water faucet in gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, etc. SO WEIRD!
Did anyone buy any????

by Anonymous | reply 85 | May 5, 2022 1:59 PM |
I think Farrah looked lovely back in the day. But by '77, that Farrah look was adopted by so many other young actresses on tv that she no longer stood out from the crowd. What once made her unique, now made her boring and bland.

Nevertheless, she was the cheerleader girl next door, so half the males in the U.S. wanted to setup her.

by Anonymous | reply 95 | May 6, 2022 8:05 PM |
R78 you can ask that about any of the gay actors in Hollywood. I guess people are paid off. You certainly don't get another job in Hollywood if you blackmail and blackmail is illegal. Amber heard I think is shaking down gay Depp for money or it's a planned publicity stunt. Mimi rogers said stuff about Tom cruise. Loni Anderson said that Burt Reynolds told her they would never have sex . Marlee marlin put William hurt through ringer. A lot of them have kids together and are both gay. We rarely know who they are really screwing. Dolly partons really partner is her hairdresser.

I had a major crush on Farrah, I had the swimsuit poster, I wore Farrah t-shirts all the time, I watched Charlie's Angels religiously every Wednesday night. She had a Look, the swimsuit poster, well Nipples!! It was all about the nipples. I knew I was a gay kid of 12, but I was crazy about her, she was my idol. I followed her career even after CA, I always liked her, and sad when she passed from cancer. Farrah had her moment and time, a super star, I still think she's awesome!! RIP Farrah angel. :-)

Let's face it--early on Angels or when she had a bit part in Logan's Run, she was "sporty pretty" and then fell off a cliff real fast.
Too much sun. Probably drugs and maybe alcohol.
And yeah, she made some comments about Lee Majors that sounded a bit like it had been a lavender marriage, or simply PR.
Most importantly, she couldn't really act.
by Anonymous | reply 105 | May 8, 2022 7:46 AM |
There's several images of her on a bike in a skin tight blue bodysuit, a one piece white swimsuit and platform heals, don't know how to upload, link, etc, but that about sums up thr Farrah phenomenon, she's definitely got the IT factor! BAM!! :-)

by Anonymous | reply 124 | August 23, 2022 3:38 PM |
She was gorgeous, one of those people who might not have all perfect features but when combined together the result is breathtaking. Nothing wrong with a square jaw - it’s a clean look and went well with her athletic looks.
There is a photo taken at the baby shower for Tatum O’Neal’s first child. Farrah is sitting next to Tatum and looking into the camera. She is doe-eyed fabulousness and I felt a little sad for Tatum in the shadow of her bombshell step-mom.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | August 23, 2022 4:57 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 126 | August 23, 2022 4:59 PM |
To whomever is saying Farrah had “old lady face”, that is the result of the demand for anorexic-looking models and actresses in the 60’s and 70’s. Sharon Tate had a similar look. If they ate some pizza once in a while it may have improved their looks.
by Anonymous | reply 127 | August 23, 2022 4:59 PM |

R150. A masculine looking female from the 1970's is dated? Shirley, you jest. Jesus fuck.

Don't get the masculine looking part, R152. Now Barbara Bush definitely looked like a man in a dress.

Perhaps but she looked prettier without her.
Jaclyn Smith was the prettiest and aged the best

She's hideous, OP! Are you happy now? Will you ever be?

Looks like she had a bad nose job at some point. The nostrils looks mismatched.

Agree that Ryan O’Neal was her downfall.

Face is attractive in the way that Gisele Bundchen's face is attractive. Greater than the sum of its parts.

Are there any gay men on DL anymore? According to his thread. Dykes and straight guys are the majority.

She and her looks were definitely of their time. She WAS the '70s.
by Anonymous | reply 162 | August 30, 2022 6:28 PM |
There were a lot more beautiful women in the 70s. Lynda Carter was one. Faye Dunaway hadn’t butchered her face yet. Pam Grier doesn’t get talked about enough, she was fucking gorgeous.

It’s odd how standards of beauty have changed over the years. I don’t like her nose and her lips are too thin. She would need work done to be considered a beauty by todays standards.

R164, what don't you like about her nose? Just wondering
by Anonymous | reply 165 | August 30, 2022 11:40 PM |
R158, that's a broken nose from one too many encounters with Ryan O'Neal' fists.

Why are some people saying she looked masculine?
R132 Lynda was stunning, beautiful face and a hot curvy figure. There’s really no comparison.
I agree, though Ms. Carter’s onscreen personality was rather placid.

I agree with the sentiment that Farrah excelled in dramatic roles. She was a surprisingly good in more serious material, which was hard to reconcile for most people given her pinup looks and the lighter stuff she was most known for. She gave very capable performances in "Extremities" and "The Burning Bed", both of which are thematically very heavy. I also really liked her in "Dr T. and the Women", where she played Richard Gere's mentally ill wife. There is a scene early in the film where she is wandering through a mall in a dissociated haze, and she strips off her clothes and starts dancing in the mall fountain. Some actresses would have played that in a way that could have brought laughs, but her portrayal of it was weirdly heartbreaking.
