I've read some opinions that she was an untalented Lauren Bacall knock-off (as if Bronx Betty were some master thespian), but I just watched her in "Too Late for Tears" and thought she was quite good. I've read mixed reviews on "Dead Reckoning" where she co-starred with Bogart, but I think that will be my next watch.
Love late 40s/1950s bad girl Lizabeth Scott. Her films are loads of fun.

She was great in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, which I believe was Kirk Douglas's first film.

For chrissakes, the girl was Tallulah's understudy. What I wouldn't give to have *that* on my resume.

She looked a bit like a cross between Lauren Bacall and Frances Farmer.
