Crossing Delancey.

In the 1980s and 1990s, there were several off-Broadway plays that were turned into movies. I’m surprised this one was because the plot is so slight. Old school Jewish grandmother hires a matchmaker to find a husband for her modern granddaughter.

David Hyde Pierce has a small role in it.

Rosemary Harris has an even smaller (one scene) role in it.

Sylvia Miles as the matchmaker chews all the scenery. Every last stick of furniture.
