I Really Am Not Feeling My Dog Today

My dog hates the rain, so wnen I took him out he raced right back in the house. I went to get the mail and, when I got back, i found a fresh pile on the floor and piss.on the rug. I've been giving him the cold shoulder all.day and he knows, but I still feel guilty.

Is he a rescue dog?

Keep giving him the cold shoulder and you'll find that pile on your pillow.

He probably hates the rain because he gets wet. Get him an umbrella.

Move to a state/country were its at least warm when it rains.

Or even better: fly him to Peru and let him live for a month as a Cuzco street dog. If he survives he will be grateful for the privilege of living with you, rain and all.

Sometimes dogs don't like peeing/pooping outside when it rains. But they have a very short memory about accidents (like 5 seconds or something like that) so he probably had no idea why you were giving him the rejectus treatment all day.

My prior dogs have all hated rain and regularly peed inside on rainy days, which sucked, but that was the situation. My two current dogs love running and wrestling in rain, because when they come inside, they get dried off with a towel, which feels good.
