I've never considered Madonna an attractive woman, at all. In fact, that was one of the most appealing aspects about her--she was a formidable contender without having to rely on her looks, which for many, many women has been a maker or breaker. Madonna always seemed to realize that her contribution was more substantive that her beauty when other women just couldn't let that go, whether or not they actually had the substance to back it up or were willing to stand up for it, which Madonna always had & was willing to do. I guess this is why I've been so boggled by her recent bowing to the quest to look so ridiculously youthful, with the disfiguring surgery, foolish hair extensions & thin, plastic looking facial skin. I guess it would be like RBG suddenly feeling like she had to look like Christie Brinkley & actually went for it.
