Apparently Dan Levy and Noah Reid hate each other

Noah wouldn’t have a career without Dan. And coworkers aren’t required to be best friends, especially former coworkers. That show stopped shooting before the pandemic which is a damn lifetime ago.

Levy seems like he'd be a lot to deal with. I still cringe at his SNL episode when during the closing credits NONE of the cast approached him for a goodnight hug/greeting. He had to hug his dad who made an appearance during the opening monologue. So awkward.

Don't know if I believe this blind item but I did notice in the final season of the show that there seemed to be moments of tension or at least the earlier spark between them didn't seem to be there.

Deux moi has also posted from former SC crew members about how Dan Levy is EXTREMELY sensitive and very easily offended. I forget the exact wording, but it was something about how the crew person would cringe while watching the cast accept any kind of award because if they didn't thank Dan properly, he would lose his mind.

I'm guessing clueless straight Noah Reid (who is expecting a baby) did something he didn't even realize would offend our girl and she went batshit crazy.

Reid has commented that he would be up for a Schitts' Creek reunion, so I don't imagine he'd say that if he "hated" Dan Levy.

I've seen a few videos with Reid and Levy and they seem very at ease with each other as people, in a way actors couldn't fake well. So I suspect this is just some shit- stirring. Reid seems like a pretty decent guy as actors go so if Levy got a bug up his ass about something, it's likely to blow over.

This has been talked about other threads, but apparently Dan Levy had a reputation of being impossible to deal with when he was on MTV Canada.

That being said, I think this is BS. Dan and Noah still comment on each other's SM post regularly so I don't think there is any issues between them.

Apparently, the perceived betrayal has to do with the way Levy fought (and won) to get a Best Supporting Actor Emmy nomination in the show’s final season. It was clear he’d be submitted in several other categories as a writer and producer of the show, and Reid was considered instrumental to the show. However, Levy lobbied for the nominees being the 4 leads (and they all won their respective categories).

In the end Reid will have the better acting career (Levy is a "personality" rather than an actor). He's getting good buzz for his Broadway debut as is the new Amazon show he's in. So he'll be fine. He's been acting since he was a kid so he's well aware of the transitory nature of show-biz friendships.

SHAMELESS is an example of a show that went on way past it's sell-by date. After a while cast members really get sick of each other.

SC went on just long enough. Plus, Reid and Annie Murphy have known each other for a while, and of course E. Levy and O'Hara go way back.

Why would they be.

Kim Catrall got it right when she pointed out that co-stars are colleagues, not friends. While on-set tension is a problem, it would be a problem in an office too. That Fisher and Monaghan are not buddies outside of work isn't all that surprising.

Why would anyone want to stir up drama with a show that is no longer airing and two actors you’d need to look up to find out if they’re even working any longer? This is why you can’t take any of those gossip sites seriously because no one has that amount of gossip pumping in on a regular basis. I’ve worked in the entertainment industry and most things aren’t worth gossiping about. The most scandalous stuff isn’t going to be an open secret unless it keeps happening over and over again for years, but some of these gossip sites act like they’re in the room when some stuff is going down. NDAs exist for a reason and really juicy gossip, especially stuff happening at home can be tracked to the staff. No one is taking that kind of risk. There are so many alcoholics and addicts in this industry and every one covers for everyone because you need to keep it all going so you can keep on working.

A friend of mine is close to the family and have worked with them for years. There is no hate, or anything negative at all - they were very close, in fact, Dan was closer to his wife and they spent a lot of time together - even going on a trip to Italy when filming was done. Because Noah stays in Canada, they just don't see each other that much, but they are friends still.
