I don't think it's a masculine look. It's always smart not to hold on to one's youthful look (which for women, usually means long hair) to avoid direct comparison.

I think Sharon has always had the face for short hair, she has wonderful bone structure. She looks fabulous. To have survived a major stroke and look that good, well done.

Sharon has very thin hair that is why she always wears it short…even when she was younger. She is lucky she has a pretty face otherwise she can look dykey….

Even if her look is masculine, she still looks good. This is what proper aging is. She owns what she does and she looks confident, whereas, in someone like Madonna, the insecurity just oozes out of every frame.

Many classic female movie stars grew more masculine as they aged. DL faves, Davis, Crawford, and Ball all did.

You're probably not far off. This is advertising for a multi billion dollar company. They know exactly what customers they are going after and the worlds greatest paid experts work around that accordingly. They are clearly going after an upscale, urban, over 60 demographic. And possibly even lesbians specifically. Its a great catch for her because if it works, she can make tens of millions on the campaign and it will keep her face on TV for several years. If it doesn't, she will still make tons of cash.

Young people have moved on to warby parker and other even cheaper online brands. Lenscrafters needs to pump up their sales to wealthy older people who enjoy the service and selection and can afford to drop $300-500 per pair on glasses, then another $300-500 on a pair of sunglasses to go with the new rx.
