I understand it's her body to do with what she pleases, yet I wish she had left well enough alone. She had a pleasant face, pretty and warm.

It's distracting looking at people who have overdone procedures. Instead of focusing on what a face would normally communicate –emotion, I'm constantly aware of their unnatural appearance.

It's different from someone born with a facial birth defect or injury. Those are faces one is programmed to expect. Overfilled cheeks, pumped up lips, paralyzed muscles, and snap-on teeth are relatively new and still shocking to encounter.

I think she looks good in OP’s pic. I wouldn’t have recognized her, but she looks good.

Whenever I see an "unrecognizable now" thread or post somewhere, I always expect to the subject to be morbidly obese, wrinkled and old, so this was pleasantly surprising.

She looks fine.

I have OP and R1, R2, R3 and R4 on ignore so either he's a rampant antisemite or a rampant misogynist - guessing it's the latter seeing as he's criticising a 53 year old woman who looks absolutely fine, just understandably different from when she was in her 20s and appearing in a popular tv show.

This is from a month ago - how can anyone say she's unrecognisable?!

Julia Sawalha was in her 20's when she did Ab Fab, and is now in her 50's. Many actresses have work done when they hit their thirties or certainly forties. Extent of and how it looks is another matter.

Far as OP's comments, go; bullocks! Ms. Sawalha hardly is "unrecognizable" in that picture, nor any others taken recently.

It has to happen sooner or later. I'm surprised she hasn't had more work done given the years of verbal abuse for her "mother" and that Alley Cat Patsy Stone. Poor woman must have body dysmorphia.

Since her Gran passed she likely has a limited support system to counter all the nasty comments about her plain-Jane looks.

Speaking of looking different, Has anyone watched The Thing About Pam on Hulu. Renee Zellweger is wearing a fat suit and prosthetics on her face. She looks weird and of course, the body image people are complaining about it because she made herself look really fat. It's a tongue-in-cheek crime drama. It's kind of funny.
