Had 'im.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | March 12, 2022 6:27 AM |
He was really hot
by Anonymous | reply 2 | March 12, 2022 6:37 AM |
Loved him in The Long Goodbye.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 12, 2022 6:41 AM |
He was married to Barbra??
by Anonymous | reply 4 | March 12, 2022 6:53 AM |
He was my husband in the stink-ass CBS s(h)itcom Apt. 9JKL. So glad I'm now in the much better *successful* CBS s(h)itcom B Positive!

Are there Pulitzer Prizes offered for DL threads? If so, can I nominate this one? I mean, "Elliot Gould: thoughts?" Such simplicity. No link necessary here! Masterpiece. Brava, OP! Brava!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 12, 2022 8:48 AM |
Nobody has thought of Elliot Gould in 40 years.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 12, 2022 9:12 AM |
Don’t disrespect my Dad!!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | March 12, 2022 9:20 AM |
Many years ago I rented his former apartment on 7th & Catalina in LA. It was rather shitty and yet a pricey place. He had painted the walls with lots of bizarre crap from what I was told by management.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 12, 2022 10:06 AM |
Meh.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 12, 2022 10:41 AM |
But - I can get it for you wholesale!
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 12, 2022 3:42 PM |
interesting how Donald Sutherland continued to find interesting work...and for Elliot the pickings were slim to non existent.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 12, 2022 3:52 PM |
it seems he'd get an oscar if the right supporting role happened.... he's tried indie fare.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 12, 2022 3:56 PM |
He was spectacularly good in California Split, which is one of Robert Altman's best and most underrated films.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 12, 2022 4:02 PM |
Always hated him
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 12, 2022 4:04 PM |
Wonder if he ever hangs out with Barbra.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 12, 2022 4:11 PM |
I thought he was sexy and good in the right roles, but never as good as the iconic Donald Sutherland. Now THAT'S an actor.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 12, 2022 4:15 PM |
His voice always rattled me. It's weird.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 12, 2022 4:20 PM |
I like that cute Gould boy who grew up to be really hot on Modern Family...Yummy young man today.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 12, 2022 4:35 PM |
He had a good singing voice in the OCR (recorded live but still released) of "Drat! the Cat!" and "Wholesale". I recall he got to sing and dance in "Harry and Walter Go to New York". He got an Oscar nomination for "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice". Watched "Getting Straight" which was on recently, which had his very ,very hairy bod in scenes with a young Candice Bergen -- good film about protests at UC/Berkeley during Vietnam. I don't know what happened to Gould's career -- was it drugs or alchohol? Was it him becoming Norman Maine? His career was still going up as Barbara's zoomed though.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 12, 2022 4:43 PM |
Barbra's, pardon
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 12, 2022 4:44 PM |
He old.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 12, 2022 4:55 PM |
I lived in a condo across the hall from his mother, Lucy Goldstein in the 80s.. She was the nastiest dyke I've ever met. Only bonus was occasional Barbra sightings when she'd drop off Jason.
This was the Westview Towers in WeHo.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 12, 2022 5:05 PM |
^ Where's the dick in this story?
I can't do anything with that nasty old dyke Lucy Goldstein in my sexual fantasies.
If you had included a bitch-off you witnessed between Lucy and Barbra, I could have at least been momentarily entertained by that...
by Anonymous | reply 24 | March 12, 2022 5:13 PM |
[quote]Barbra's, pardon
Miss Streisand does NOT pardon.
She is a multi-Oscar winning perfectionist.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 12, 2022 5:15 PM |
Love him. So sexy. Great voice, great persona. Never sold secrets about Barbra. Perfect as the dad on Friends. I think he gets lost in the shuffle in B&C&T&A but he's fantastic in California Split and The Long Goodnight and The Silent Partner (which might be known under a different title?). Fantastic, love him.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 12, 2022 5:22 PM |
I think he and Dyan Cannon kind of steal B&C&T&A -- their story is more fun than Natalie Wood & Robert Culp's.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 12, 2022 5:24 PM |
^ Wow, you really know how to hurt a dead bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 12, 2022 5:51 PM |
I bet he had the most wonderfully hairy ass.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | March 12, 2022 8:31 PM |
Always associate him and George Segal together for whatever reason - same generation and their careers had similar highs and lows it seems - though Segal found much more and better work in the latter half of his career.
I did like him as Ross’s father, though - and what perfect casting.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 12, 2022 8:49 PM |
He had a better career than Paul Sand.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 12, 2022 8:51 PM |
He was good in American History X.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 13, 2022 1:06 AM |
[quote]Was it him becoming Norman Maine? His career was still going up as Barbara's zoomed though.
R20 My thoughts exactly.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 13, 2022 1:33 AM |
Mine is hairier r29!
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 13, 2022 4:54 PM |
Rumor has it Gould, Segal, Nick Nolte, Richard Dreyfus, and Jon Voight all fell prey to cocaine, and dropped out of sight. Some of them found recovery. Others, notably Nolte, have not. But all their careers suffered.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 13, 2022 6:05 PM |
Didn't Babs reportedly do "What's Up, Doc?" to replace Elliot after the original plans to film "A Glimpse of Tiger" fell through partly due to Gould's cocaine addiction and unpredictable behavior at the time?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 13, 2022 8:39 PM |
You can braid the hair on Elliott Gould's back.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 13, 2022 8:47 PM |
R35 why did Jack Nicholson’s career never suffer. It seems to derail certain careers but…selectively.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | March 13, 2022 9:15 PM |
Played an old queen in Johns.
David Arquette was at his most beautiful there.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | March 13, 2022 9:54 PM |
He gave Monica a Porsche.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | March 14, 2022 3:56 AM |
He recently was terrific in the series Ray Donovan on Showtime. A supporting role, but a good one. For all but a very few, decades long careers are made of them.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | March 14, 2022 4:01 AM |
I have always found him unbearably sexy, back hair and all. A truly gorgeous man.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 6, 2022 2:58 AM |
[quote]So glad I'm now in the much better *successful* CBS s(h)itcom B Positive!
How's that working out for you, Lin?
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 6, 2022 3:01 AM |
He was in one episode of the new "Lincoln Lawyer" on Netflix. It was weird when he popped up on a "Poirot."
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 6, 2022 3:06 AM |
No one knew who he was on Jeopardy last week. Kind of sad.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 6, 2022 3:08 AM |
What? Are you on a death watch?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 6, 2022 3:08 AM |
I want to be pounded by his hairy Jewish cock—mercilessly.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | October 6, 2022 3:16 AM |
First of all, it's Elliott with two ls and two ts.
I worked with him in the mid1990s and will always have a great soft spot for him in my heart. He was just the perfect mensch, as sweet and kind as can be. Never took himself too seriously, did his job and minded his own business. Was as courteous to the doorman as he was to the director. And so tall and handsome!
by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 6, 2022 3:20 AM |
R35, Elliott only admitted to weed and LSD. His real problems were mental.
[quote]Wonder if he ever hangs out with Barbra.
Barbra doesn't HANG. She has purpose, and is obsessed, even in old age. Gould is like every other Jewish boy I sat next to in HS/college - boring and without direction. I wonder what she saw in him.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 6, 2022 3:32 AM |
He was terrible on that episode of Poirot, like he’d had a stroke or something.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | October 6, 2022 3:38 AM |
R50, came here to say the same thing. Just godawful.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | October 6, 2022 3:43 AM |
I think Jack shared his cocaine and hookers and had a lot of Polanski like dirt on a lot of people.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | October 6, 2022 4:08 AM |
He just did a lot of the voices overs in the new Ken Burns Holocaust documentary. ….. would love to see him gate watch the new production of Funny Girl. You know because of his young marriage to Barbra and seeing the show so many times - can you imagine the “sense memory” even scene change music would dredge up?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | October 6, 2022 5:14 PM |
Hate not gate ^
by Anonymous | reply 54 | October 6, 2022 5:15 PM |
He worked with The Other Barb(a)ra in one of her rare non-musical performances.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | October 6, 2022 5:38 PM |
Elliot Gould in Twilight Zone's 'The Misfortune Cookie' is a lot of fun.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | October 6, 2022 11:39 PM |
He bites his nails. Ewwwww.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | October 7, 2022 12:41 AM |
He’s had a pretty hood late career as a character/working actor. Has a good relationship with Streisand sealed by their mutual devotion to their son.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | October 7, 2022 2:13 AM |
Quirky sexy wich is almost as hot as ugly sexy.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | October 7, 2022 6:06 AM |
Classic BDF, and seems to be packing. Babs was lucky to get plowed by this sexy beast.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | October 7, 2022 7:22 AM |
^ OH BROTHER
