Thank you r10. I am sitting here with my 92 year old Mother watching Angela and Judy in THE HARVEY GIRLS on right now on TCM. I told my Mom she looks like Angela today but with darker hair so I just showed her the pic. She doesn't agree lol.

Did she have a lesbian relationship with Bea Arthur? I always wondered about their very close "friendship".

She seems to be okay. Next month she is going to be in New York to accept a special Lifetime achievement Tony Award. And she just gave this interview a few days ago

My mother used to teach with a nun who turned 102 yesterday. She's still lucid and vibrant. She likes to garden, bake brownies and pray to the Virgin Mary. I remember when I was a child, she was the most postive person ever. The sun was always shining even if it was raining.

That interview at R19 was recorded 22 years ago.

Angela doesn't remember Bea Arthur. At 9:19 she struggles to find the name of the great actress who was with her in Mame. Larry King says "Bea Arthur". She doesn't remember her best friend? Her bosom buddy? She remembers very clearly everything and everyone else she worked with. Very strange.

I'm sure she's slowed down a lot, as one does in one's nineties. But a vegetable? No.

We'll find out when she shows up to receive the award.

R22: She just hesitates for a second, which is not unusual. Larry, horrible interviewer that he is, doesn't give her a moment to collect her thoughts about much.

It is unusual R25 because she doesn't hesitate about anyone else. She and Bea were joined at the hip and she refers to her as "that actress".

R25--it's a senior moment that you're blowing out of proportion. Her interview is filled with catch phrases and cliches that uses to paper over not having time to think through her answers. King is a terrible interviewer and Angie is a bit old.

Loved her in MSW. She is 96. Bless that woman!

I knew she'd never attend the Tony Awards, but it disturbs me her family did not release a still photo of Angela posing with the TONY.

At 96, she’d make a better Fanny Brice than Beanie or Lea.
