This may be the first show from EPIX that is good. This show is phenomenal, fun, and creepy. Definitely worth the watch. Highly recommended!!!
“FROM” - anyone watching this phenomenal show on EPIX?

Question - it's creepy, but is it bleak?
I just finished Season 1 of Epix's War of the Worlds series and it's about as much bleakness and despair as I can take.

From the producers of Lost and starring people from Lost, is this just a retread of Lost?
All these people were brought to the island (town) for some unknown purpose and are stuck there.

R1 no. You will enjoy this one.

What is EPIX?

It's a streaming channel - has movies, TV shows, and original content. I got it for a month for 99 cents as an add-on channel to Prime Video. It's usually 5.99 per month. It's catalog is nothing spectacular, but I'll cancel before I get charged full price. For 99 cents it's been fun to browse.

R5 yes. I got $1 a month for 3 months at the end of last year. It expired.

It's bleak, scary, gory, and depressing. Good mystery, though.
Love the goth Que Sera, Sera cover from the (never-ending) opening credits.

I hope there's some resolution about where they are and wtf those creatures are or I'm gonna be frustrated.

"From the Executive Producers of 'Lost'" is all I need to know to NEVER watch this show. "Lost" was the most disappointing waste of time in network television history.

My husband and I love this show--probably the best thing on TV right now.

yes, just finished this show. I recommend it. What else are you guys watching? anything good?

I think it's quite riveting. They seemed to be trapped in a black hole on earth with monsters lurking everywhere. It's all supernatural so throw all logic out of the door and just enjoy the show .

I like it a lot. Dialogue seems realistic and the setting is perfect. The husband is hot!

[quote] yes, just finished this show.
Finished? How? Epix only aired seven episodes so far, more to come (the season is supposed to be 10 episodes).
I watched episode one to seven last weekend and, while waiting for more episodes, I decided to watch Netflix's Midnight Mass from Mike Flanagan. It's pretty good.

I just can’t do that shit anymore in shows I watch. I don’t know why. When I hit my late 40’s I lost all stomach for it. Even if the show/movie is well done.

oh great, thanks for letting me know there are 10 episodes.

I must admit that I'm underwhelmed by the final episode of the season. A brief glimpse at a lighthouse? That's it? Dark cave, the electric cables dangling from the cave's ceiling? Some cave drawings? And all that build-up with the radio tower for "you better go back home to your wife!" message?
It's even lamer than Lost.

If those Lost pricks are involved, it will end up being frustrating and poorly made garbage.

Jesus, and I thought The Walking Dead was boring. I have to keep rewinding parts cause I’m always falling asleep.

Unfortunately, I think it's heading to a Lost-like situation where the mysteries keep piling up and the writers can't keep up with them. This finale is disappointing to an otherwise solid season. I wonder if they'll get renewed.

This show has been renewed for a second season set to air sometime next year.
"The series premiere of From is Epix’s most viewed original series premiere in the history of the Amazon-owned network following the acquisition of MGM and current performance analytics track that the entire series is on pace to be Epix’s second most-watched original behind Emmy winning series Godfather of Harlem."
Interesting tidbit of info on viewership. Hopefully they pick up the pacing.

I recently started watching this and am part way into the second season. There are so many clues and bread crumbs, but the writers are giving very little back to the viewer leaving more questions than answers. The community has many incongruous things like some members seem to have jobs while others are idle. They seems very food secure for a lack of agriculture or hunting. Those couple chickens and goats must go far. They live a surprisingly carefree life considering the death rate in the first season. Is it really a good idea do have a drunken night-time party when danger is just outside the door?
Most of the actors are mediocre Canadian stock actors who can’t vowel shift away from their Canadian Raising, so oots and aboots abound despite the map on the wall showing all the characters are supposed to be from across the US. The immature teenage daughter is annoying AF and just screams, cries or causes distractions that would lead to their deaths if they weren’t the central characters with plot armour. There is another main character who screams all of his lines. Clichés abound like the creepy character with all the secrets and a wise beyond his years boy who is a philosopher and seer. It’s like Lost meets Walking Dead meets Sixth Sense. I do like the disco lunch box.
Still, it’s an entertaining enough binge. It’s been renewed for a third season.

Don’t know why you were lined out OP but the first truly great show on EPIX is the Godfather of Harlem. Truly great show that just got a 4th season.
