Nicole Brown Simpson looked Trans

Or mannish at the very least.

Was she a sister?

by Anonymousreply 233September 9, 2024 8:48 AM

She was German. A lot of them have harsh, strong features.

by Anonymousreply 1March 5, 2022 6:28 AM

Her death brought me my first taste of fame!

by Anonymousreply 2March 5, 2022 6:34 AM

I heard she was much more attractive in person. Quite striking

by Anonymousreply 3March 5, 2022 6:39 AM

I don't think she did

by Anonymousreply 4March 5, 2022 6:44 AM

Her death shocked me so much, my clothes literally fell right off!

by Anonymousreply 5March 5, 2022 7:03 AM

That's why she had to go. Didn't want her ending up like Bruce now.

by Anonymousreply 6March 5, 2022 7:05 AM

What a bizarre thing to say. She looked nothing like a man.

by Anonymousreply 7March 5, 2022 7:06 AM

She didn’t look like a man but she hit her 30’s really hard. I’m 34, she was 35 when she died. She looks like she could be my mother.

by Anonymousreply 8March 5, 2022 7:08 AM

he was gorgeous

by Anonymousreply 9March 5, 2022 7:09 AM

Like this was her in her early 30’s. By todays standards, she looks late 40’s / early 50’s.

What a bizarre thing to say. She looked nothing like a man.

Why thankyou

by Anonymousreply 12March 5, 2022 7:20 AM

Wow, facially I can see her father but she's so fat. Has an angry look. What is that she's carrying? Is it alcohol?

by Anonymousreply 13March 5, 2022 7:21 AM

R11 Maybe that’s why even looking fat and rough, she still looks younger than her mother did and she’s older than her mother now.

by Anonymousreply 14March 5, 2022 7:24 AM

R13 I see her father in her face and anger as well. It's like she's physically giving the impression that "no man will ever kill me the way my father killed my mother." I have to think she knows, subconsciously, and the weight and anger are self protection.

by Anonymousreply 15March 5, 2022 7:25 AM

R14 Why are DL-ers so obsessed with looking young? This is one of the most toxic things about gay culture, sorry.

by Anonymousreply 16March 5, 2022 7:25 AM

Wow R14 I didn't realize that she's now older than her mother when her mother died? She does indeed look so very much younger than Nicole. Nicole really did aged quickly. She was old for her age. I wonder why. R16 too true, but I couldn't help myself. It's shocking to think the daughter is now older than Nicole and looks younger than her.

by Anonymousreply 17March 5, 2022 7:27 AM

R14 Or the sun was in her eyes lol.

R16 you must have hit the wall early too.

by Anonymousreply 18March 5, 2022 7:28 AM

R18 That's your comeback? More evidence of toxic gay culture that obsesses about youth/looking young.

by Anonymousreply 19March 5, 2022 7:31 AM

Justin faired a little better in the genetics department.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 20March 5, 2022 7:32 AM

R19 You’re talking absolute nonsense, why would you think I need a comeback? Are you telling me straight women are not obsessed with youth? And straight men are not obsessed with youth?

Are you telling me gay men dominate face lifts, botox, filler injections, hair transplants?

News to me.

by Anonymousreply 21March 5, 2022 7:35 AM

oh please, R21, it's very prevalent in gay male culture.

by Anonymousreply 22March 5, 2022 7:36 AM

And to add to my R21 are you telling me straight men don’t prefer younger women?

Like let’s talk about toxic gay culture’s obsession with youth and how it’s sooooo incredibly distinctive from straight people.

We’re not bathing in virgin blood.

by Anonymousreply 23March 5, 2022 7:37 AM

R22 It’s prevalent in most western cultures.

by Anonymousreply 24March 5, 2022 7:38 AM

What else is toxic gay culture so distinctive from straights? Beauty standards? Hookup culture?

by Anonymousreply 25March 5, 2022 7:40 AM

NicHole was an ugly whore.

by Anonymousreply 26March 5, 2022 7:40 AM

The male gaze!

by Anonymousreply 27March 5, 2022 7:40 AM

Mostly old fat wrinkly farts are the ones who obsess about looking young. And mostly who obsess about tranny look are those who look tranny themselves.

Ego defense mechanisms at work here.

by Anonymousreply 28March 5, 2022 7:48 AM

R28 What planet are you on?

Youth obsession has been around forever. There’s a fairy tale called “Snow White”, I suggest you read it. It’s not about a gay queen, it’s about a female queen who is jealous of her young stepdaughter’s youth so she uses magic to become an old hag to kill her.

by Anonymousreply 29March 5, 2022 7:52 AM

r20 lol I see his mom's facial features. I know many families where older daughter looking like her father and younger son (or daughter) looking like their mom.

by Anonymousreply 30March 5, 2022 7:57 AM

I bet she would have become a Real Housewife.

by Anonymousreply 31March 5, 2022 8:16 AM

R8= the deluded ancient white fags loon.

by Anonymousreply 32March 5, 2022 8:21 AM

Was that assessment made before or after her husband sliced her head nearly off?

by Anonymousreply 33March 5, 2022 10:01 AM

Between her and Mary Jo Buttafuoco, it made me remember how hard-looking some of the thirtysomething women were of that era.

by Anonymousreply 34March 5, 2022 10:06 AM

I guess the 80s will do that to a woman, all that coke and cock.

by Anonymousreply 35March 5, 2022 11:00 AM

What a weird thread, even by DL standards

She looked fine, but I'm sure being with OJ for that long would age anyone

by Anonymousreply 36March 5, 2022 11:03 AM

For context RE r36:
Brown wrote that she felt conflicted about notifying the police of the abuse because she was financially dependent on Simpson. She described an incident in which Simpson broke her arm during a fight; in order to prevent him from being arrested, she had told emergency room staff that she had fallen off her bike. She wrote about him beating her in public, during sex and even in front of family and friends. Of the 62 incidents of abuse, the police were notified eight times and Simpson was arrested once

by Anonymousreply 37March 5, 2022 11:34 AM

R20 is OJ his bio dad?

by Anonymousreply 38March 5, 2022 11:51 AM

If one of those tabloid talk shows from the '80's was still around they would have an episode titled, "Their father murdered their mother, [italic]her[/italic] father murdered her mother, and [italic]their[/italic] mother murdered their father!!!" featuring the grown children of OJ, Robert Blake and Phil Hartman. Am I right?

by Anonymousreply 39March 5, 2022 12:12 PM

His not guilty verdict shattered any belief that I ever had in justice.

by Anonymousreply 40March 5, 2022 12:29 PM
He was very abusive in their marriage.

by Anonymousreply 45March 5, 2022 2:39 PM

She came of age before we realized how bad the sun is. Sunscreen would have helped her greatly. She loved being tan and she was in a horribly abusive and stressful relationship. All the considered, she could have looked much worse. And yes, most folks look better in person. Some people just aren't particularly photogenic.

by Anonymousreply 46March 5, 2022 2:49 PM

She looked rode hard and put away wet. And she probably was!

by Anonymousreply 47March 5, 2022 3:25 PM

I wonder what would have happened had she lived.

Does OJ have a relationship with their kids?

by Anonymousreply 48March 5, 2022 7:25 PM

There's a DL thread about Princess Stephanie (of Monaco) and her mannish looks. Posters mentioned Katarina Witt. The '80s were a time for that look (full eyebrows, square faces, minimal hips, etc.). Also, Nicole was blonde with breast implants. Those 2 or 3 things go a long way.

by Anonymousreply 49March 5, 2022 7:32 PM

R26 = moron

by Anonymousreply 50March 5, 2022 7:34 PM

R46 Yeah and she didn’t have a job. She probably sat in the sun all day tanning, smoking, drinking, and doing coke for years.

She did seem like a really cool chick though.

by Anonymousreply 52March 5, 2022 7:46 PM

I think Nicole was actually a classic beauty. She didn't look cheap like a lot of women of that era (Anna Nicole Smith, Pamela Anderson, etc)

by Anonymousreply 53March 6, 2022 12:16 AM

r26 is just our resident incel, r50

by Anonymousreply 54March 6, 2022 12:19 AM

R10, imagine the stress she was under with this psycho in her life .

by Anonymousreply 55March 6, 2022 12:25 AM

Malignant narcissists suck the life out of their victims . Nicole looked more haggard because of the intense fear and craziness of OJ

by Anonymousreply 56March 6, 2022 12:26 AM

Exactly r56

by Anonymousreply 57March 6, 2022 9:48 AM

Why did OJ choose Nicole to abuse? She was this cool, strong chic who seemed like she wouldn't put up with bullshit. Why did he abuse and kill her? Just because she was enlightened enough to attempt to live the way he lived--enjoying her lovers?

by Anonymousreply 58March 6, 2022 9:54 AM

r58 I recently posted this on another thread:

I've known a few battered women in my life, and none of them fit the stereotypical "abused woman" trope we see in TV and movies. On the surface, they seemed assertive and unwilling to put up with shit. They would stand up to their husbands (in public at least). They weren't overly passive or fearful in their demeanor and you probably wouldn't have guessed they were being abused (in one case, rather severely).

The point is, appearances in these situations can be deceiving: not just the stereotypes of the working-class, Stanley Kowalski-type abusers, but also of the battered woman, always deferring and never fighting back, always cowering in a corner.

by Anonymousreply 59March 6, 2022 10:02 AM

Thanks R59.

by Anonymousreply 60March 6, 2022 10:13 AM

Here's a comment from YouTube on the case ... my remaining faith in humanity weakens:
She was NOT an innocent victim in all of this. She did much to bring this on herself. She didn't deserve to die, but she was the instigator and was the one begging him to come back. Read" If I did it "for his version of this thing. He didn't want her back and she knew she made a mistake ending the marriage. Yes, he killed her, but now that I read his side of it? My take on it was She was NOT an Angel. She was a mess!

by Anonymousreply 61March 6, 2022 10:24 AM

So why did OJ kill Nicole? Any theories?

by Anonymousreply 62March 6, 2022 10:45 AM

She refused to return his Pyrex glassware, Rose.

by Anonymousreply 63March 6, 2022 10:51 AM

He was abusive, coked out, went to her house looking for a fight and she answered the door holding a knife which set him off further. He was pissed she didnt save him a seat at their daughters dance recital

by Anonymousreply 64March 6, 2022 10:57 AM

This is interesting. Reminds me of a Real Housewives reunion

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 65March 6, 2022 11:09 AM

She didn't answer the door with a knife, R64.

by Anonymousreply 66March 6, 2022 11:32 AM

r60 I should add that I think abusers and victims "find each other." Abusers test the waters early to see how much they can get away with (but it starts with smaller things) and then the abuse escalates. They often isolate the victim, but again, it's subtle, like "I want us to spend all our time together" rather than "I don't want you having friends." One woman I knew really wanted a large, traditional wedding with family and friends; her fiance refused to allow anyone to attend other than a couple of witnesses and no one from her family. By that point, he had pretty effectively isolated her under the guise of "I want you all to myself."

Long-term abuse leads to mental health problems; then the abuser can turn around and say, "See, she's the crazy one." Or better still: "She's the REAL abuser."

There is no such thing as a perfect victim, and women (and despite what the incel trolls claim, it is usually women) who are abused have flaws, often suffer from addiction and other mental health problems, and are not always the most likeable people. All these things work in the abuser's favor.

by Anonymousreply 67March 6, 2022 1:18 PM

OJ planned her murder . He wanted to cut her head off, but Ron Goldman came over and he had to kill Him. Ron got into a karate position. Ron could ran off. He was a hero . OJ is a violent psychopath

by Anonymousreply 68March 6, 2022 2:27 PM

Morbid r68 ...

by Anonymousreply 69March 6, 2022 3:09 PM

OJ had the world at his fingertips. He may have legally gotten away with murder, but his life is now vastly different.

by Anonymousreply 70March 6, 2022 3:27 PM

My sympathy is finite, r70. Think I'll reserve it for the families of Ron and Nicole

by Anonymousreply 71March 6, 2022 3:29 PM

R71, I loathe OJ

by Anonymousreply 72March 6, 2022 3:31 PM

Good r72!

by Anonymousreply 73March 6, 2022 6:24 PM

I think she was a gold digger. OJ was also handsome. She said that, on their first date, in the car, he tried to rip her jeans / pants off her body and broke the button or the zipper. That wasn't a deal breaker for her.

No, she didn't deserve to get killed or beaten up at any time. But she wasn't perfect. A crime victim doesn't need to be perfect or likable.

by Anonymousreply 74March 6, 2022 6:31 PM

I think that is how the jury thought of her. They didn’t have a lot of sympathy for Nicole.

I still think Johnnie Cochran was absolutely brilliant and sometimes I watch his closing arguments to the jury on youtube. Masterful public speaker

by Anonymousreply 75March 6, 2022 7:03 PM

That said, I feel for the Brown and Goldman families and wish they got the justice they deserved ^^

by Anonymousreply 76March 6, 2022 7:04 PM

I work in the legal field and, IMO, Johnnie Cochran came off like a snake oil salesman. My favorite attorney from the "Dream Team" was Carl Douglas. He came across as passionate, vigorous in cross-examination, but not trying to create sound bytes and bumper stickers all the time. Carl Douglas was the most like a real lawyer, IMO.

by Anonymousreply 77March 6, 2022 7:09 PM

As someone above mentioned, she had a strong jawline that some may find manish.

There’s a reason they call it malignant narcissism r83

by Anonymousreply 84March 6, 2022 10:05 PM

by Anonymousreply 86March 6, 2022 10:07 PM

R35 and tanning.

by Anonymousreply 88March 6, 2022 10:17 PM

She did a lot of coke, which will make anyone look hard. I think at the time of the murder, OJ had moved on to meth because, with meth, he could fuck all night and not have to worry about coke dick.

by Anonymousreply 89March 6, 2022 10:29 PM

R59, they love to destroy grade A women

by Anonymousreply 90March 6, 2022 10:33 PM

OJ was murdering trannies before it was cool.

by Anonymousreply 91March 7, 2022 8:35 AM

r90 interesting point. I hadn't thought about that. For the men for whom power is an inherent goal, that makes total sense. It would be less satisfying to dominate someone who gives in easily.

by Anonymousreply 92March 7, 2022 9:12 AM

Nicole was ugly AF!

by Anonymousreply 93March 7, 2022 9:15 AM

R78 It was released. To benefit the Victims families, the word ‘if’ made all small on the cover

by Anonymousreply 94March 7, 2022 9:16 AM

In the video at R65, wow OJ is a talker. I vaguely remember Faye Resnick writing about that in her book, that he talked so much when they were on the phone together. Obviously he's extremely self-righteous, and maybe he talked all the time so that people would have to hear his opinions while never expressing their own. And in that video he actually felt morally superior over his murder victim's sister because he has better credit than her. The murder itself proves how full of himself he is. He actually killed two people and ruined his own (very nice) life because his ex-wife dared to ignore him at a dance recital and didn't invite him to dinner with her family.

Nicole was very young when they met. I don't remember the details, but Marcia Clark said in her book that there was something strange about Nicole's family...something about nude pictures on the walls of the parents' house. And Denise had a kid out of wedlock and just lived at home with no money of her own well into her 30's, which is kind of odd because she's very attractive and could easily have had a marriage and family. And, not that this means anything, but Denise and Nicole looked so much alike, and the other two sisters looked nothing like either of them, no resemblance whatsoever. I remember noticing that back then. Anyway, maybe Nicole was vulnerable because she had a strange upbringing and, again, met OJ when she was so young.

by Anonymousreply 95March 7, 2022 10:39 AM

CONGRATULATIONS on the dumbest post ever, OP.

by Anonymousreply 96March 7, 2022 10:43 AM

And it's a very high bar, r96

by Anonymousreply 97March 7, 2022 10:44 AM

I thought Nicole looked stunning.

She also grew up in SoCal, so, yes, she looked older than her years. It happens.

On top of that, generally speaking, women in their mid-30s also look younger these days than they did three decades ago.

by Anonymousreply 98March 7, 2022 11:14 AM

I don't think implants look right on women with athletic builds. She should have left well-enough alone. But, it was the 90's. (And breast size was the least of her problems, sadly.)

by Anonymousreply 99March 7, 2022 11:20 AM

R20 Justin has a pretty decent rack

by Anonymousreply 100March 7, 2022 11:49 AM

Yeah I thought Nicole was stunning too. The OJ trial was like the opposite of the Rittenhouse trial in that most of the main characters were good looking

by Anonymousreply 101March 7, 2022 4:50 PM

Well, men on the down low like mannish women.

by Anonymousreply 102March 7, 2022 5:02 PM

She looks mannish because OJ was so pretty.

by Anonymousreply 103March 7, 2022 5:25 PM

I recently read Jeffrey Toobin's book "The People vs OJ Simpson" and that trial was such a shitshow. Toobin laid out in cold hard facts how unbelievably incompetent Judge Ito was and how he allowed the defense team to basically run the courtroom and do whatever the hell they wanted. That would've been a very different trial if a competent judge had presided over it.

by Anonymousreply 104March 7, 2022 5:31 PM

She looks like every divorced woman of a certain age and means in Los Angeles in that time period. She would have ended up on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills if she had lived.

OJ trapped Nicole, from what I recall, by controlling the Brown family. If I remember correctly he set her father up with a Hertz franchise and paid for at least one of her sisters to go to college.

by Anonymousreply 105March 7, 2022 5:41 PM

Nicole was a possession that he massively manipulated and physically abused

by Anonymousreply 106March 7, 2022 5:46 PM

This 2020 tweet from OJ in which he memorializes Nicole’s mom is interesting. He says even in recent years he went to her for advice, personal problems. can you imagine? Like wow, the audacity of this guy.

That said, I think in his OJ book Dominick Dunne mentioned the Brown family pushed Nicole to return to OJ even after he abused her bc they financially benefited so much from her marriage to him. Theyre not super innocent either

by Anonymousreply 107March 7, 2022 7:39 PM

I had no idea that Nicole's mother still had a cordial relationship with OJ in the years after the murders. Holy shit that is fucked up!

by Anonymousreply 108March 7, 2022 7:43 PM

Yes, the Brown family was financially dependent on OJ. I don't believe Nicole's sisters worked for a living.

by Anonymousreply 109March 7, 2022 7:45 PM

It seems like half of LA and half of OC mooched and benefited off this poor dead woman. Does anyone remember the recipe from Kris Jenner’s cookbook for “Nicole Brown Simpson’s Chicken Nachos” ?

by Anonymousreply 110March 7, 2022 7:50 PM

You'd be surprised at how often the family of the abused woman sides with the abuser, even when there is no financial incentive for them to do so. These men are truly masters of manipulation.

by Anonymousreply 111March 7, 2022 8:09 PM

Video at r107, is another example of the malignant narcissist personality. He’s truly evil!

by Anonymousreply 112March 7, 2022 9:39 PM

His father was a drag queen, so maybe he was attracted to that look.

by Anonymousreply 113March 7, 2022 9:55 PM

OJ's older daughter was stunningly gorgeous at the trial and looked just like OJ.

by Anonymousreply 114March 7, 2022 10:39 PM

Nicole was much more attractive in person. She was glowing striking

by Anonymousreply 115March 7, 2022 10:41 PM

I think Nicole’s “strange” family was just your typical emotionally frigid German-American household. I also think in her childhood she would have fit the stereotypical latch-key kid culture, so even if her mom didn’t work and was a stay-at-home, Nic and her siblings most likely had to raise themselves. Add to all that the actual gender roles in that era — women were often still raised with the expectation that the focus is on landing a wealthy husband, no more than that. So she really had the entire deck stacked against her, I think she was likely doomed no matter what.

I would *love* to know if her mother still talks to OJ!!!!! Now THAT is a scandal. I can’t judge them because I’ve never come anywhere close to this situation, but it is hard to imagine how Nic’s family could still talk to him. Maybe their rationale was that it is better for the kids if they all get along? Idk.

by Anonymousreply 116March 7, 2022 11:09 PM

I can only imagine the horror of Nicole and Ron's last moments. JFC.

by Anonymousreply 117March 7, 2022 11:20 PM

It was so brutal and painful

by Anonymousreply 118March 7, 2022 11:29 PM

Nicole and Ron weren't just stabbed, they were butchered like hogs. There's a special place in hell for OJ Simpson.

by Anonymousreply 119March 8, 2022 12:08 AM

My ex went to high school with her, he said she was very very pretty. Typical Californian of her time as others have said, beach and sun and smoking.

He said the family had money back then, not sure from what, and lived in a fancy gated neighborhood.

by Anonymousreply 120March 8, 2022 12:15 AM

I remember at the time the tabloids were always running stories about what a party girl Nicole was, as if she wasn't worthy of feeling sorry for. It was pretty sick.

by Anonymousreply 121March 8, 2022 12:37 AM

I have a good friend who worked at Mezzaluna at the time and knew Ron. The reason Nicole and he are dead is because OJ found out she was fucking a waiter who was driving around in the new sports car he just bought her. End of story.

by Anonymousreply 122March 8, 2022 12:50 AM
The reason Nicole and he are dead is because OJ found out she was fucking a waiter who was driving around in the new sports car he just bought her.

Chris Rock talked about that in one of his routines back in 1997, although he IDs the waiter as Ron himself.

It was definitely the first time I heard about the car.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 123March 8, 2022 12:57 AM

Has there ever been any real evidence that Nicole and Ron were intimate?

by Anonymousreply 124March 8, 2022 1:04 AM

Faye Resnick said (and it was the belief of the prosecution) that Nicole and Ron were still at the flirting stage and were not an item, at least not yet. Ron stopped by Nicole's house to drop off a pair of glasses her mother had mistakenly left behind at the restaurant. He was on his way to another engagement and was being a nice guy. OJ didn't know Ron would be there. The intention was to kill Nicole for publicly rejecting him. OJ killed Ron Goldman because he tried to help save Nicole and he was a witness to the murder.

by Anonymousreply 125March 8, 2022 1:05 AM

Google Nicole Brown Simpson, crime scene photos. Be prepared. THEN, shut the fuck up forever about whether she looked old or not. She was a beaten and battered wife. Classic and terrible and escalating pattern. A victim. She was young and resilient enough. She left him. For good. Was divorcing and moving on with life. Remember that.

OJ was stabbing Nicole when Ron Goldman stumbled upon the scene. OJ charged Ron, who put up a fight, but was able to subdue and kill him (this was how he lost the knit cap and the one glove) then he went back to Nicole, who was crumpled on the ground, pulled her head up by her hair and sliced her neck. It was absolutely horrific.

I guess maybe black people cheering was less about O.J. and more about the politics of the LAPD at the time, police brutality. A lot of their catharsis was bigger than O.J. I can understand that. But at the end of the day, two people were murdered.

I think most people thought we based our decision on race. Race never came up in the topic of our deliberation, or even how the LAPD treated black people.

Like, regarding Fuhrman, none of his comments really …

The thing with Fuhrman was once his credibility was shot, you really could discount anything he said. He was definitely a liar — he lied on the stand — and when he came back to the court, he took the fifth on everything. Why would you trust anything he said? He was the detective that found all this evidence: the blood on the Bronco, on the back fence, on the glove … all of that created reasonable doubt.

Was there a moment in particular during the trial that really swayed your decision towards reasonable doubt?

Yeah, when they started talking about the blood evidence. There was, like, a milliliter of blood they couldn’t account for. And they found blood on the back fence of Nicole’s condo, and that particular blood also had the additive in there. That additive is only found in [a test tube of blood], so why would the blood sample on that back fence contain that additive unless somebody took the blood from the test tube and placed it there?

Do you think O.J. was framed?

I don’t know if he was necessarily framed. I think O.J. may know something about what happened, but I just don’t think he did it. I think it was more than one person, just because of the way she was killed. I don’t know how he could have just left that bloody scene — because it was bloody — and got back into his Bronco and not have it filled with blood. And then go back home and go in the front door, up the stairs to his bedroom … That carpet was snow white in his house. He should have blood all over him or bruises because Ron Goldman was definitely fighting for his life. He had defensive cuts on his shoes and on his hands.

O.J. only had that little cut on his finger. If [Goldman] was kicking to death, you would think that the killer would have gotten some bruises on his body. They showed us photos of O.J. with just his underwear just two days after, and he had no bruises or anything on his body.

According to transcripts of interviews conducted by investigators from the LAPD’s Internal Affairs Division, Coleman and another deputy district attorney said they were told by Detective Mark Arneson of the LAPD’s 77th Division that he had talked with two officers to whom Fuhrman had confided that he had had an intimate relationship with Nicole Brown Simpson and to whom he described her breast augmentation.

In the meantime, according to the transcripts of other Internal Affairs interviews, Burke told investigators she was told by Detective Daryl Maxwell of the Rampart Division that an officer he knew had overheard Fuhrman bragging that he had slept with Nicole Brown Simpson and that Fuhrman had described her “boob job.” (Arneson and Maxwell later denied to investigators that such conversations had occurred.)

According to an Internal Affairs transcript, Coleman subsequently told LAPD investigators: “Quite honestly, I agonized for about a week or two what I should do with the evidence because obviously if it was true, I felt ethically it had to be turned over to the defense.”

Coleman, sources say, decided that because she was a friend of Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark and respected William Hodgman, the other assistant district attorney on the case, she would go to them and report what she and her colleagues had heard.

Early in August, 1994, Coleman met with the prosecutors in Clark’s office and, according to the declaration, “told them what I had heard” about the locker and Nazi paraphernalia.

Michael Nigg (April 28, 1969 – September 8, 1995)[1] was an aspiring actor who worked as a waiter at a Beverly Hills restaurant. He was shot and killed during an apparent robbery attempt in Hollywood.[2] The Los Angeles Police Department later arrested three suspects but soon released them for lack of evidence. No other suspects have ever been identified, and the killing remains unsolved.[3]

The case attracted some media coverage at the time, because Nigg had formerly worked at the Mezzaluna restaurant in Brentwood, where he had been a friend of Ronald Goldman's. Almost 15 months earlier, Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson had been found slain at her home near the restaurant, after he had gone there to return her mother's eyeglasses, which had been left behind at Mezzaluna. Simpson's ex-husband, former football star O. J. Simpson, had been charged with the murders, and his highly publicized trial had reached closing arguments.

Simpson, who has consistently professed his innocence in the Brown and Goldman killings, was acquitted of the murder charges almost a month after Nigg's death.[a] Alternative theories of the murders, supposedly shared by Simpson, have suggested they were related to drug trafficking in the Los Angeles area,[4] and that Nigg's was as well; Nigg apparently lived very well for a waiter,[5] and there were some allegations he, too, had been involved in the drug trade while working at the Mezzaluna branch in Colorado before.[6] Nigg and Goldman, it has also been noted, were not the only waiters at Mezzaluna to be the victims of criminal activity during the mid-1990s.[6]

Brett Ross Cantor (November 5, 1967[1] – July 30, 1993) was an American record label executive, concert promoter and nightclub owner. He was born in New York to Rhonda and Paul Cantor, who managed acts such as B. J. Thomas and Dionne Warwick. In the early 1970s, he and his family moved to the Los Angeles area. In the early 1990s, he served as an A&R executive for the Chrysalis Music Group.

After signing Rage Against the Machine, Cantor left Chrysalis to work briefly as an agent and then a promoter, putting together some of the largest concert and dance events in the city at that time.[2] He also entered the nightclub business, taking a 10% stake in Dragonfly, a club known at the time for its 1970s and hip hop theme nights. At that time he was involved romantically with actress Rose McGowan.[3]

Cantor was found dead in his Hollywood home on July 30, 1993; he had been stabbed repeatedly in the upper body. No suspect has ever been identified and the investigation remains open. His death was the subject of renewed interest a year later, when, during preliminary motions in the trial of O. J. Simpson for the killings of his former wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman, Judge Lance Ito ruled that defense lawyers could have access to the investigatory file in the Cantor case. The defense had argued that the similarity of the three killings suggested the same person or persons had committed them.[4] It has also been argued in books on the case that Cantor knew both Goldman and Nicole, and thus they may have been killed over mutual involvement in possibly illegal business activities.[5][6]

Dear OJ is innocent person: The evidence was overwhelming, but if you think it was planted then here are some questions: If OJ didn't do it, why didn't he ask what happened when he was told that Nicole was dead? Why did he write the suicide note and try to flee? Why didn't he want to testify at his trial? Why didn't he give a damn about who committed the murders after he was acquitted? Why did he mock Ron Goldman and find him contemptible instead of seeing him as a hero for trying to save Nicole?

by Anonymousreply 146March 8, 2022 1:57 AM

R145

Dear O.J. I'd like to see you, to talk to you in person. But I know you can't do that. I've been attending these meetings to help me turn negatives into positives -- to help me turn get rid of my anger . . . . I've learned to "let things go" (the most powerful, helpful thing I've ever learned). I've learned that all things that upset & bother me are just a mirror of what's going on in me. I always knew that what was going on with us was about me -- I just wasn't sure why it was about me -- So I just blamed you. I'm the one who was controlling. I wanted you to be faithful and be a perfect father. I was not accepting to who you are. Because I didn't like myself anymore. I'm not sure exactly what went on with me these last few years. I know New Year's Eve started it. I sank into a depression that I couldn't control. I also agree with you now -- that I went through some sort of mid life crisis -- "that 30's thing," you called it, my own self esteem . . . ect. I know it was a combination of all of these things. But mostly, due to all of these things, I know I gave up. I gave up treating you like I loved you. We started taking each other for granted -- and I didn't know how to put it all back together. I never stopped loving you -- I stopped liking myself and lost total confidence in any relationship with you.

I really needed this time in my life -- It's allowed me to get to know and like myself (again). It's given me a chance to go from a non-person, (the past 3 years) to a whole person.

There's so much I want to say to you. It's very hard to express myself in this letter. I wish we could be taking a walk around the block like we used to. It would be so much easier to speak to you face to face.

I want to put our family back together! I want our kids to grow up with their parents. I thought I'd be happy raising Sydney & Justin by myself -- since we didn't see too much of you anyway. But, now, I [missing text].

I want to be with you! I want to love you and cherish you, and make you smile. I want to wake up with you in the mornings and hold you at night. I want to hug and kiss you everyday. I want us to be the way we used to be. There was no couple like us. I don't know what I went through . . . . I didn't believe you loved me anymore -- and I couldn't handle it. But for the past month I've been looking at our wedding tape and our family movies -- and I can see that we truly loved each other. A love I've never seen in any of our friends. Please look at the 2 tapes I'm sending over with this letter. Watch them along & with your phone turned off -- they're really fun to watch.

O.J., I want to come home -- I want us all to be together again -- We can move wherever you want -- we can stay here -- I just never want to leave your side again.

I've almost come home 20 times since I left -- but I was never totally sure about us until now. I know I love you and know I'm in love with you and know I want to [missing text] and be with you forever.

Poor kids. What a mind f*** to be around him.

by Anonymousreply 148March 8, 2022 1:59 AM

Please watch the tapes -- I know you have major anger against me -- but you owe it to your kids and to us. I had that same anger. . . I'd never let this happen to us again. Without this year, without this growth, I don't think we'd have had a chance together -- We let it die. And through death . . . something new always grows. I agree with what you said 6 or 8 months ago. The next time around will be the best. I totally feel that now. We want to come home -- we'd be there tomorrow if you'd let us. I'm not embarrassed about anything -- I don't give a hoot what anybody thinks. I only know I love you and our kids would be the happiest kids in the world.

If you're totally happy with your life now -- I'll understand -- especially if you're truly in love and know that's going to work. Then, I can't mess with that. If I don't hear from you soon -- then I'll assume that's the case and I'll never bother you or ask you to have [missing text] way to find out -- I had to ask.

O.J. You'll be my one and only "true love." I'm sorry for the pain I've caused you and I'm sorry we let it die. Please let us be a family again, and let me love you -- better than I ever have before.

I'll love you forever and always . . .

Me.

[Drawing of smiling face.]

What always kills me is people talking about cops framing OJ. They fawned over him. He was treated with white gloves every time he was arrested. He was a football superstar. He was rich and famous.

The greatest win for the defense was when they were somehow able to move the trial to LA County and OJ did not get a jury of his peers ie golf buddies, professional athletes and movie stars.
Wasnt this one of the very first high-profile cases that introduced DNA evidence? It was still a pretty new concept and not explained to the jury very well if I recall correctly

At that time, DNA technology was still relatively new and many people weren't very familiar with it or didn't trust it. It was the complete opposite of today, where DNA's validity is unquestioned and people know exactly what it is. We also didn't have all of the tv shows like CSI or Forensic Files back then. It was such a different world. If the trial happened today the DNA evidence would be much be much better understood.

The 'OJ is innocent' people are morons. The cops (including Mark Fuhrman) had no idea where OJ was at the time of murders and when they arrived at his house. He could've had an airtight alibi for all they knew. He could've been on the other side of the world for all they knew. Also, they had no idea what forensic evidence the blood would reveal. There was the proverbial mountain of evidence against OJ and he obviously murdered two people. But, it was in LaLa Land. Celebrity defendant + star-struck, incompetent judge + race-baiting defense team +weak link in the prosecution (Chris Darden: had OJ try on the gloves, gave an inexplicably star-struck closing argument) = not-guilty verdict.

Every store that sold the shoes in the country was searched, & they couldn't find anyone who sold him the shoes. The National Enquirer photos that came out in the civil trial show OJ wearing suede shoes on a rainy day & don’t match the weather conditions of the football game. The leather gloves thing was really stupid (asking OJ to put on the gloves in front of the jury).

In the old days, golf gloves used to be made of thin leather and my dad had some. They get wet and shrink down quite a bit, but you can get them over your hands. They're supposed to be have a tight fit. Also, those chamois cloths that people used to use to wash cars. Quite a bit of shrinkage, but then they'd stretch out.

Hence, it didn't really prove anything that OJ "couldn't" get them on his hands in front of the jury.

by Anonymousreply 195March 8, 2022 4:30 AM

I suppose people think it's karma, but I thought the robbery he was convicted of was utter bullshit. And the sentence was appalling for the circumstances of that conviction.

by Anonymousreply 201March 8, 2022 5:03 AM

The evidence in this case was overwhelming. There are men who are sitting on death row who were convicted on much less evidence than what was in the OJ case.

by Anonymousreply 202March 8, 2022 5:27 AM

Nicole looked like a woman who needed lots of FDS Spray

by Anonymousreply 203March 8, 2022 6:04 AM

I have to wonder about a person who spends so much time and energy defending OJ Simpson, if only on the DL

by Anonymousreply 204March 8, 2022 9:40 AM

Imagine having it in for Nicole Simpson. What happens in someone's life to make them like this?

by Anonymousreply 205March 8, 2022 10:27 AM

I think it's a garden variety incel, r205

by Anonymousreply 206March 8, 2022 8:37 PM

I don’t believe OJ was innocent but defense proved reasonable doubt absolutely. Mark Fuhrman alone was enough.

Someone mentioned Robert Blake and you could compare but it wasn’t that high profiled.

I’d compare it to Casey Anthony. People hate OJ way more than they hate Casey Anthony.

by Anonymousreply 207March 8, 2022 10:11 PM
I don’t believe OJ was innocent but defense proved reasonable doubt absolutely.

That's ridiculous. The blood evidence and carpet/clothing fiber evidence were overwhelming.

by Anonymousreply 208March 8, 2022 10:26 PM
I’d compare it to Casey Anthony. People hate OJ way more than they hate Casey Anthony.

I don't know about that. Casey Anthony supposedly killed her own child, a little girl.

by Anonymousreply 209March 8, 2022 10:30 PM

The hair and fiber evidence was as strong as the blood evidence:

Hair in the blue-knit cap found near Goldman's feet matched Simpson's hair.

Hair found on Goldman's shirt matched Simpson's hair - which was likely deposited by "direct contact," possibly when Simpson grabbed Goldman by the throat from behind.

Hair matching Nicole's was found on the bloody right-hand glove at Rockingham - consistent with the coroner's testimony that Simpson had yanked her by the hair before he slit her throat.

Blue-black cotton fibers - the color of Simpson's outfit when he went to McDonald's with Kato - were found on the Rockingham glove, the socks in Simpson's bedroom, and Goldman's shirt.

Fibers from Goldman's shirt matched those found in each of the gloves.

Carpet fibers like those from Simpson's Bronco matched those found on the knit hat and on the Rockingham glove. Those fibers could ONLY have come from a 1993 or 1994 Ford Bronco.

The hair and fiber matches alone should have been close to conclusive evidence of Simpson's guilt and a clear indication that Fuhrman could not possibly have planted evidence.

by Anonymousreply 210March 8, 2022 10:34 PM

If I’m not mistaken, the fibers were omitted from evidence, right?

by Anonymousreply 211March 8, 2022 10:46 PM

It was allowed but it was not presented correctly by the prosecution and the jurors didn't seem to care about it.

The whole trial was unbelievably asinine. That should've been a slam dunk case with so much evidence pointing to Simpson's guilt but so many things went wrong.

by Anonymousreply 212March 8, 2022 10:50 PM
I’d compare it to Casey Anthony. People hate OJ way more than they hate Casey Anthony.

Casey Anthony was loathed just as much as Simpson was, I would think. His trial attracted more people because he was famous, so technically he was hated by a larger number of people, but both were hated equally by those who followed their trials, IMO.

I wasn't around during the Sharon Tate murders, but my guess for the murderers most loathed by the public since then are O.J., Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias. They were all deeply hated by the general public during their trials. Even Gloria Allred thought Arias was guilty of first degree murder.

I always thought she looked like a mixture of Angie Harmon and Cheryl Ladd.

I see a resemblance to Megynn Kelly.

by Anonymousreply 215March 9, 2022 7:44 AM

Much prettier in person

by Anonymousreply 216March 9, 2022 2:16 PM

It was basically a case of jury nullification. Quite honestly I understand the sentiment. You put a racist cop like Fuhrman on the stand and play recordings of him repeatedly saying the “N” word in the context of his job performance and expect a mostly black jury who has been sequestered for months to convict a black man of murder in L.A. where race tensions were super high?

by Anonymousreply 217March 9, 2022 6:07 PM

I’m sorry she was murdered. She was mean-looking in the face.

by Anonymousreply 218March 9, 2022 6:53 PM

Is r218 taking a break from looking for the REAL killers?

by Anonymousreply 219March 9, 2022 6:56 PM

Lol R219. Narcissistic sociopaths do a real psychological mind fuck on their victims. OJ was not always violent or abusive. In fact, they had many happy times, but the abuse is majority of the time, especially in subtle gas lighting. The victim starts to question their own sanity and worth . The abuser uses this to their advantage. They only feel Truly alive when they are subjugating their victims. They are empty vessels

by Anonymousreply 220March 9, 2022 9:33 PM
You'd be surprised at how often the family of the abused woman sides with the abuser, even when there is no financial incentive for them to do so. These men are truly masters of manipulation.

I sort of saw this with my own parents. My sister was in a relationship with an emotional/verbal abuser for over a decade. They never married, but had a child together. He was an manipulator with my parents and others in the family. He had a bad childhood as he grew up with mother with addiction issues and his grandparents eventually got custody of him. A lot of us in the family had sympathy for him, but he used his childhood as fucking excuse for a lot of shitty stuff and my parents ate it up all the time. My sister's ex wasn't wealthy or anything and went through periods where he quit jobs constantly. My brother and I saw through this manipulative bullshit after awhile and warned my parents, but they wouldn't listen.

Eventually, my sister's asshole ex left her for a woman he met while working at a warehouse. He moved in with her and for awhile, he had visitation/weekends with my nephew. He later asked to no longer see my nephew and he moved out of state. My parents were pretty much bamboozled by the whole thing and my brother basically had an "I told you so" moment with them. Later on, relatives like aunts, uncles, and cousins told me that me that they never liked my sister's ex and got bad vibes around him.

by Anonymousreply 221March 9, 2022 9:57 PM

How did Kato come to live with OJ? There were rumors he supplies the drugs but also that he was Nicole's boy/friend/dealer

by Anonymousreply 222March 10, 2022 5:20 AM

R222, OJ was paranoid and extremely jealous like most abusers . Kato was paying rent to Nicole and OJ offered him Free room And board to get him Away from Nicole and to punish Nicole.

by Anonymousreply 223March 10, 2022 5:22 AM

And Kato went along. What a friend

But then again he lied. As the years go on, he tells more about OJs guilt, which he couldn't be frank about on the stand. I'm sure he was terrified tho.

by Anonymousreply 224March 10, 2022 5:32 AM

I've never heard Kato was Nicole's lover

by Anonymousreply 225March 29, 2022 9:26 PM

She wasn’t dainty. And the CA Sun really ages you. She was probably a smoker too.

Baking in sun frequently is not good…. But getting some sun very frequently is excellent for your health and well being

by Anonymousreply 228January 18, 2023 9:46 AM

R228 Then why are you trying to resurrect a thread that hasn't been active in almost a year?

You dumb-ass troll.

by Anonymousreply 229January 18, 2023 10:28 AM

Are we sure Nicole really had a pussy?

by Anonymousreply 230January 20, 2023 5:15 PM

Comment from Lipstick Alley:

Why do you assume that it's jealousy? Now THAT'S disturbing. I see it as some people slowly waking up to the ways that white supremacy affects every portion of western culture such that it seeps into our brains as people of color and affects our own individual perspectives.

It's a bit louche to mention it in certain circumstances given the parameters of the woman's death. However this is an anonynous internet forum that largely circles around current events and gossip. That means that we can bring up the louche and declasse at times in such a forum. Especially when it can help us disseminate the reasons behind some of the sordid brainwashing from which many of us as people of color suffer as a collective group.

After all, why is it that's she's always been described as beautiful by mainstream media? Beautiful to whom? Why? She always looked fairly average to me. Are they describing her as such or TELLING us to believe that she is so?

MTE4MDAzNDEwOTU1MjQwOTc0.jpg

Beautiful?

Hmm...would she have been considered as such if her suspected killer was a white man?

I think that instead of depicting her as this young beautiful delicate ingenue who fell victim to a brutish black they would have then played up the fact that she was a mom with small children more so.

In the politics of compassion, there is white patriarchal distrust of attractive young white women that centers upon the madonna/hoe complex that white males collectively have supported during the 20th/early 21st century as a response to feminism and the sexµal revolution.

However, the white mother as race gatekeeper of all that is home and hearth? Not even the most affluent white male can curry favor against that particular racial and gender trope.

Depicting her as the ideal white mother would have meant that instead of the glamour shots that were tossed about, we as the consuming public would have been shown pics of her surrounded by her kids, baking cookies in the kitchen, pregnant, etc.

However, it was not a white man suspected of killing her, but a black one. This means that this near middle aged divorcee with children suddenly became a young, sexualized femme fatale/virginal ingenue in the media, an image that could raise both the ire and the desire to protect in both whites and many non-whites collectively.

This appealing to racial stereotypes (the big black scary brute who harms the tender young virginal white woman) has been trotted out for near centuries at this point and serves as one of the founding pillars of white supremacist ideals.

The same language can be seen in accounts of lynchings during the late 19th/early 20th century. Black male suspects were painted as brutish and large even if they were young teens, whereas their supposed white female victims were always painted as delicate, virginal, young, etc. This was done even when the truth was far from that picture. One of the youngest lynchings on record occurred in South Carolina during the early 20th century----

The youngest boy hung for the murder of a white woman was only 9 years old. He was depicted by northern papers as small and malnourished. The oldest boy who was one of his playmates/cousins was also described as a small 12 year old. However the southern newspaper accounts depicted them both as mischievous and rebellious "ruffians", though one reporter admitted that the nine year old began to cry for his mama as they placed the noose around his neck.

In contrast, the white woman was depicted as a young "miss", a young "maiden", "a young girl". She was depicted as sweet and virginal and oh so delicate. In reality, the murdered white woman was a WOMAN who was almost 30 and weighed more than both of the boys murdered by about 100 lbs. She also stood much taller than them. Now historians believe that she was likely murdered by an abusive lover, an adult white man that she'd been seeing on the sly because he was married.

Language is everything because it's one of the quietly aggressive ways that racist ideals are maintained and supported.

The comment continued

ETA: Now I'd love to depict myself (ha) as being this highbrow intellectual, however the above has been written about at length in academic peer reviewed articles and books about the entire 1994 case. Many well regarded and reputable academics who specialize in race theory and/or gender politics have said the same thing as OP...just in much less sensational language.

by Anonymousreply 232September 9, 2024 8:10 AM

I don’t mean any disrespect but I always felt her looks were overrated in the media because she was murdered and blonde. She definitely wasn’t unattractive but I never really saw it when people called her gorgeous, beautiful, stunning, etc. She was rather hard/masculine looking.
