Why is she their spokesperson? Miss James is still fat.
Kill it with fire!

but is it fat-fat?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 31, 2022 5:46 AM |
He’s not going to look good skinny. Some people are meant to be fat.

^ Yes!

I wouldn't worry too much about that. He crowed about a 29 lb. weight loss in the commercial I saw—that could be undone by one visit to the Cheesecake Factory.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 31, 2022 6:19 AM |
Their core business is troughsows going from 400 to 360. He’s aspirational for them.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 31, 2022 7:16 AM |
He can't diet away the obnoxious. And it permeates.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 31, 2022 7:20 AM |
Going from really fat to still pretty fat but 30-50 lbs lighter is a good sales tactic, imo.
I DO NOT like Corden in general but I think he's a good spokesperson for Weight Watchers because a 300 lb person losing 30-50 lbs is very doable on their diet AND it's more realistic to what many people will experience.
They want to get customers and his story from really fat to not-as-fat is a good way to get those dollars. AND it's a great step for these fatties to become healthier... still fat but, medically, they're far better off.
BTW, don't think for a second they didn't [bold]Market Research the hell out of the idea of him doing this BEFORE putting it in action.[/bold] Seems the data from the fraus and flyovers pointed to "yes."
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 31, 2022 7:52 AM |
At least Sarah York kept the weight off when she was the spokesman (I'm not writing 'spokesperson' because I was poltically correct for years until I realized woketards are motherfucking hypocrites). Oprah, for all the good she's done, kind of lost the plot with this one. But we none of us are perfect.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 31, 2022 2:13 PM |
In the grocery store commercial, his he encourages a normal-sized black woman to sign up. He's fatter than everyone he accosts in the store!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 31, 2022 2:21 PM |
Isn’t he the sort of person who should be the spokesman though? I mean if he’s actually on the program. He’s fat.
Better someone like him than some human blade of grass who may have been heavier once.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 31, 2022 2:49 PM |
I am so sick of this Queen.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 31, 2022 3:08 PM |
WW is no longer about losing weight, it’s about a philosophy of living with it. The marketing transition started with Oprah getting involved. I wouldn’t be surprised if it became an advocacy organization for obesity within 10 years, when Ms. Metz will be the spokesperson.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 31, 2022 3:34 PM |
Worse yet, he's still an insufferable, toffee-nosed cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 31, 2022 6:34 PM |
Probably the very WORST thing that the Brits have foisted upon the world. They're still sending their rejects into exhile.

It will shortly be rechristened The Ample Community.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 31, 2022 8:24 PM |
It’s appalling!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 31, 2022 8:25 PM |
I ended my membership late last year. I just couldn't seem to get back on track after gaining about 10 lbs. during COVID. I had lost almost 25 lbs. between June 8, 2019 and November 2019.
They are marketing WW as a healthy option to either lose weight, maintain, or learn how to adopt a healthy-eating lifestyle. That's why the changed the name from Weight Watchers. There were plenty of members who joined to lose 10 or 15 lbs. They are targeting a healthy weight, not being Twiggy.
I'm 5' 2" and a post-menopausal female. My doctor said my healthy weight is 150 lbs. That will get me off my blood pressure, and perhaps, cholesterol meds. I was thinking of trying to get to 135 lbs. but my doctor said there are no additional health benefits to getting down to that weight. It might also hurt me if I struggled to maintain it.

"Probably the very WORST thing that the Brits have foisted upon the world. They're still sending their rejects into exhile."
First they tested the waters by sending us Russell Brand. Then they sent us this talking pig. Why can't we send Corden back like we did Russell Brand??
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 31, 2022 10:25 PM |
First, there was the British Empire. Then came Russell Brand. And the final deathblow was Corden and his completely unfunny self.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 31, 2022 11:09 PM |
I love the word foisted when describing Cordon.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 31, 2022 11:12 PM |
He's seems like an awful human.

by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 1, 2022 12:11 AM |

He’s fat.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 1, 2022 12:17 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 1, 2022 7:08 AM |
Most of those Weight Watchers (and other diet plan) celebrity spokespeople only keep the weight off as long as the big fat checks are coming in. As soon as the companies move on to another spokesperson they fatten back up like ducks bound for the foie gras pan.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | February 1, 2022 11:08 AM |
[R17], listen to the entire 'Dave Clark Five's Greatest Hits' and get back to me about the worst thing the Damp and Soggy Isle has exported to our shores.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 1, 2022 11:15 AM |
My mother did Weight Watchers back in the 70s. They had these little dehydrated apple snacks. She didn’t want to share them because they weren’t cheap, and they were HER treat. We kids could eat anything else.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | February 1, 2022 12:55 PM |
R42 LOL or people could just eat a real apple.
(not shading your mom btw)
by Anonymous | reply 43 | February 1, 2022 12:58 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 44 | February 1, 2022 12:59 PM |
R15 Bingo. It's also about selling products. My niece has been on it forever, and her cupboard is filled with all these little WW snacks , supposed to be healthy and low calorie, but really just cookies and chips that you can binge on and keep buying.

Watch the Mike Leigh film in which James Corden appears as part of a large ensemble including Timothy Spall, Lesley Manville, Ruth Sheen, Sally Hawkins, etc - most of Mike Leigh regulars called All or Northing (2002).
James looks quiet petit now compared to the body he had on display in that film.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | February 1, 2022 1:02 PM |
That’s why I’m on Jenny Craig. The flavors are better than WW.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | February 1, 2022 1:03 PM |
R46, I have a love-hate-love thing for Mike Leigh films. I’ve been on the fence about that one, but now I think I’ll watch it later. I can’t find “Career Girls” on any legit streaming service, which is sad.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | February 2, 2022 9:35 AM |
R48 Career Girls is actually being released on Blu Ray (restored) this week in the UK. So it should start streaming sooner than later I would imagine.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | February 2, 2022 11:57 AM |
I’m on Jenny Craig Max Up program.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | February 2, 2022 11:59 AM |
Perhaps the weight watchers crew is so large that he looks thin and desirable?.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | February 2, 2022 4:37 PM |
Fat aside, how does this horrible person keep getting work? Does he suck cock THAT well?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | February 2, 2022 4:50 PM |
I'd attribute it more to his ability to kiss ass to the talented and famous.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | February 3, 2022 2:13 AM |
R53, exactly.
There’s a hateful and loathsome man behind that goofy mask.
