Are you Royal enough to be considered as a jury of his peers?
Will it be like the Jussie Smollett case?
My qualifications are that I once stayed in a Jurys Hotel.

by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 28, 2022 11:48 AM |
R25, I'm sure you know more about this than I do but I thought the situation was that those royals with royal styles or titles use Windsor as their surname, whereas male-line descendants of the Queen and Prince Philip who do not have such styles or titles (e.g. Archie) use Mountbatten-Windsor.
Of course, Andrew is no longer using his HRH but that does that mean that he would no longer go by Windsor?
I know this is all silly but it's worth noting that people who would be expected to use the name Windsor have occasionally used Mountbatten-Windsor (perhaps out of deference to Prince Philip and his known sensitivity on the subject). Also, Beatrice has used York as her surname (just as peers often use their title as a surname, e.g. David Freeman-Mitford, 2nd Baron Redesdale was known as David Redesdale).

I hope that someday, somehow Andrew’s interactions with his lawyers become public knowledge. Because there is no way they didn’t advise him to just pay her off. Even if she was a willing participant and was of legal age in the jurisdictions where they had sex, he still fucked a 17 year-old who was removed from her family and in the care of a real sleazy guy.
If she was willing to take $500k from Epstein, she probably would have been more than satisfied with a similar amount from Andrew.
I can’t imagine the amount of internal eye rolling that goes on when Andrew meets with his lawyers. Maybe he’ll be inspired to do another interview! He could do the current equivalent of pay-per-view and make enough to pay off Virginia and have some left over for himself.

Not r34, but R40 - According to the girls, Epstein had his residences wired for video and audio and used the material in blackmail schemes. They were also asked to pry and report back (Guiffre noted Andrew had a thing for feet.) It's not precisely known how Epstein made his billion, but blackmail over the years of VIPs is the likeliest. Supposedly, the Feds had tapes that were "lost.". I'm a little fuzzy about them.
You know the sweetheart deal he got in Florida from Alex Acosta before Andrew came into the picture? He was minimally confined for a year or less (he could go back to his mansion during the day). He had someone on tape.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 28, 2022 4:27 PM |

R43 Or his daughters.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 28, 2022 4:55 PM |
[R44], he had someone on tape meaning a high profile name filmed doing or saying compromising things? I mean, anybody who fell for Epstein's offers of intimate relations with attractive wimmints would have to be deplorably shtupid to not assume everything was miked and taped.
I'm not a high profile name, but if a high flying financier whose career and rise to billionaire status was murky to put it politely started offering me free private jet trips to meet hot young men you can bet I'd say thanks but no thanks unless I wanted to wake up with a post-it note on my harness with a 'Pay to" Swiss bank account number on it. In one of the predictions for 2022 threads, somebody posted that incontrovertible proof of Andrew's guilt will emerge this year.
This case is reminiscent of the Watergate scandal. Things seem to be happening so fast, things that are highly significant. If this is what the public is being told, I imagine the fireworks occurring behind the scenes must be positively blinding and deafening. Then there's the mistrial of G. Maxwell in the picture.
And it's really hard to make any predictions about what will happen next. Are we close to a conclusion or is the bumpy ride going to switch over to clear air turbulence?

by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 28, 2022 5:35 PM |
Apparently so, r47. Maxwell supposedly even claimed he had Trump and Clinton on tape.
I know what you mean Z-W, but before Epstein became a household name and prior to his prosecution in Florida, he was considered some kind of a financial whiz/guru via his association with Lex Wexner and Victoria's Secret. I guess, among the 1%, word of mouth and the fact that Epstien had so many VIP contacts meant something. "Well, if Harvard professor Dershowitz and titans of industry hang out with him, he must be OK." One of their own wouldn't turn on them and they probably assumed the money was legit.
And you know so many straight guys, even middle aged and older, think with their dicks to the exclusion higher cortical functions.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 28, 2022 6:03 PM |
Calculated, but smart move. Guiffre's credibility can be called into question. She did participate in recruiting girls for Epstein. She doesn't go into court with clean hands.
If Andrew wins the case, I'm assuming the BRF will have to restore his position in the Firm.

No this is a civil trial. After he is cleared by the FBI - then he can get back to being a paid stooge for central Asian despots.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 28, 2022 6:17 PM |
I guess it's the false confidence of 'money sleeps with money and begats money." I've never been cursed with so many zeros in my bank account that my judgement is so clouded. It seems the hedonistic fringe has always existed, and these two cases (Maxwell and Andrew) just shed light on it.
Still, these people live in their own world, and until recently, it was exclusive. Their hubris (engaging in intimate relations with young wimmints & all that implies) just shows that money corrupts. It's really not Epstein, he was the vehicle. He merely offered this to these individuals . All they had to do was say no. It's like if it's too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
I reckon it's along the same lines of Harland and Wolff designing the Olympic Class vessels wh. featured every comfort a passenger traveling in any of the three classes could want, except for enough lifeboats (John Brown, Ballin and CGT's liners of equal size all had sufficient lifeboats for the complement of passengers and crew).
It was just a matter of time before their number came up and the party was OVAH!

R58, You think Guiffre’s reputation isn’t damaged by all this? She’s a married mom, not a playboy prince. Her kids are hearing about this. She may have decided the money was worth it, but she’s earning it. And I suspect that she’s pretty straight and narrow now - any post-Epstein exploits would have come out.

Epstein paid for Giuffre to fly to Thailand, spend oodles of time - all expenses paid - to train as a "massage therapist". Did any of you see who Epstein's 'girls' were? They were white trash turning tricks for drugs. If they hadn't hooked up with Epstein, they would have hooked up with white trash pimps and probably all be dead from fentanyl overdoses by now. At least Epstein paid them generously. He was a pimp but he appears to have been a very generous one.
All this #MeToo bullshit: are women the equals of men or are they frail creatures being tied to railroad tracks? FFS the woman who claimed Cuomo sexually assaulted her because he kissed her on the cheek without asking permission first. The woman who claimed Al Franken sexually assaulted her because he put his hand around her waist to take a selfie. My maiden aunties back in the day wouldn't have considered such behavior improper.
Fed up with women screaming 'rape'! 'sexual assault'! Women, get your act together. We're fed up with your damsel in distress routine. And the real victims of actual rape must be infuriated. Epstein didn't imprison any of these women. They came, they left, they came back because what they wanted was cold, hard cash. Prostitution is a profession. Deal with it.

If he were straight - he was very handsome when he was young - he would have had a string of girlfriends, a second (or third) wife. He appears to have been celibate. If he's gay - and plenty of people think he is - he must be absolutely irate about being attacked by this woman.

If it goes to trial, it will be a civil trial--not a criminal trial. Meaning, the verdict is a much lower bar for a civil trial. Andrew does not have to be found guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt," which is pretty much having hardly any doubt at all. Instead, for a civil trial, he can be found guilty by a "preponderance of the evidence." Meaning, more or less, the jury just has to believe about 51 percent of the evidence. That is a very low bar--and much less than "beyond a reasonable doubt." Andrew better be careful about wanting a civil trial by jury. Being found guilty in a civil trial is rather easy.

Given Giuffre's past admission of lying to the court and the fact she was deemed an uncredible witness in Ghislaine Maxwell's criminal case and wasn't called, a jury siding with her isn't a sure bet.

OK, Prince Andrew has nothing to lose, right? Don't you see what the bluff is going to be? Prince Andrew will either take the stand, or through a deposition, admit that he's a flaming queen with the receipts to prove it, and that Virginia Roberts lied about everything. Think on it, kids. Slam dunk, as we say here in The Colonies.

Fergie was attractive when she was young. It’s hard to see past the ugly 80s clothes but she had a good sense of humor, grew up with Andrew, and respected the institution. Things would’ve been different if Andrew hadn’t been away in the Navy for the early years of their marriage.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | January 29, 2022 2:12 PM |
Fergie was one of the most dynamic princesses ever. She also had a lot of pain and struggle throughout her life. Despite that, she had a good heart, which is hard to encounter in London. At a time when gay men were oppressed beyond belief, they identified with her struggles, and she theirs.

R115 The Judge in this case apparently has over a dozen complaints against from fellow judges about "perverting the course of justice." Apparently he know to be heavily biased in terms of very "woke." (the reason Virgina's lawyers lobbied for him). There is a conspiracy theory, that Andrew has become a fall man for people like Bill Clinton.

Yeah this is going to end in a settlement. Her lawyers have now opened the door and are even vague in their meaning of what it means for Andrew to take accountability for his actions? They aren't saying he has to admit guilt which is very telling IMO. They want money and in the end it will likely be Andrew taking accountability for his poor choices but it will fall short of him actually saying he fucked her.

Sarah Ferguson lived with a lot of pain personally. Her parents divorced when she was young. Her mother just up and left to be with an Argentinian polo player--in Argentina! That wasn't easy for a young girl who needed a mother living half a world away. The feeling of abandonment must have been overwhelming.
Perhaps that's why Sarah has always maintained such a close and hands-on relationship with her own daughters. Say what you will, but Beatrice and Eugenie seem like quite nice young women without a hint of scandal ever in their lives. Sarah and Andrew have had their troubles, but their kids have always been nice people.

Most recent video by Lady C - she spends quite a bit of time on the Andrew case.
Supposedly VG's father is quoted as claiming, (when questioned about his daughter's behavior and his lack of response) that she is a very skilled liar. Will VG's father be called as a witness?
Also, Lady C talks about how she filled in as Roddy Llewellyn's date on those occasions he needed a date and, of course, Princess Margaret could not go. Lots of stuff about this whole time period at the farm, etc.

Lady C use to be so much fun but she implied in one of her videos that the case against Andrew is being pushed by Clinton backers. I didn't know Lady C was a Q believer. It makes me suspicious of all of her previous statements on the Sussexes. Too bad, as she is/was entertaining.
Whether Andrew prevails in the civil trial, his reputation is taking a terrible beating. I have give credit to the right wing Daily Mail, unlike US tabloids (NY Post) , they don't protect their sacred cows. They really tore into Boris Johnson and party gate. Can you imagine the NY Post going after Trump with such vigor? Andrew makes great copy for the Mail. Alas the public reaction is not as strong as that against Meghan Markle.

I saw an interview with the boyfriend she (Giuffre) had as a teenager (both teenagers). He said that his friends were the ones telling him: what do you think she's doing over there (Epstein's house)? Not just massaging.
Anyway, she was a troubled person, probably did have consensual sex in exchange for money, and yes maybe she was a grifter as well.
It doesn't mean Andrew never sexually assaulted her. We'll have to see how the case plays out.

R162 Victims of sex trafficking cannot give legal consent REGARDLESS of age in the US. There is zero doubt VG was a sex trafficking victim. She was acknowledged as such and received a settlement years prior.
Andrew had nonconsensual sex with an established victim of sex trafficking. And the downtown jury will eviscerate him if he tries to portray himself as the victim.

Fraus LOVE to talk about “sex trafficking”. Gets them all hot under the collar.
Apparently this is a new term for “prostitution”. If a prostitute is turning tricks — oh, excuse me — performing sex work in their own apartment, is it “sex trafficking”? Are the cam boys or OnlyFans guys being “sex trafficked”? Or is it just when someone has a pimp?
by Anonymous | reply 166 | January 31, 2022 12:17 AM |

I imagine his demand for a jury trial is a pressure tactic to try and get the other side to settle. The only other thing I can think of is that Fergie, like Diana, has always been more popular in the US than in England. He might be counting on her being called to testify and that her testimony will sway the jury. I don’t think it will work but I imagine he is getting desperate. If she were to somehow get him off he better remarry as soon as it is over.
