Sorry, R29 -but when Nashville was released Keith Carradine didn't have Tony nominations. He was virtually unknown to most of us.

I assume R33 has Yvonne's wonderful album, Yvonne DeCarlo Sings. It's a great album of torch songs perfectly suited to her voice.

Burt Ward? He clearly went to the Bill Shatner School of Music...

by Anonymousreply 36January 2, 2022 6:31 PM

So the premise of this thread is "people you didn't know could sing until they sung"? That's pretty much everyone.

Rita Hayworth’s “Put the Blame on Mame” was dubbed by Anita Ellis. R22.

by Anonymousreply 92June 4, 2025 1:29 AM

Film historians disagree as to whether that guitar version is actually sung by Hayworth or by Anita Ellis.

by Anonymousreply 93June 4, 2025 4:41 AM

It should never be surprising when a stage actor turns out to be able to sing. If their speaking voice is properly trained there's no reason why they shouldn't easily be able to train it to sing.

by Anonymousreply 94June 4, 2025 5:54 AM

Or speak-sing.
