I loved this one. I wish it would come back.

I had hoped Lana Del Rey would inspire today's girls to backcomb a la Valley of the Dolls, but it didn't happen.

Something's got to change. How long can these clunky long hair extensions (think Kimberly Guilfoyle) be in fashion? They look like they weigh 30 pounds and flatter no one.

Give us Marlo Thomas' fabulous flip, the geometric cuts of Vidal Sassoon, the bouffant, the beehive, the airlift! Liberate those locks '60s style, ladies!

It made a comeback in the 90s, OP, and again a few years ago.

OP, that's kinda early-mid 60s. By 1966 or 67 girls wore their hair long and straight, usually parted in the middle. No one was teasing their hair anymore by then.

Isn't early-mid 60s still the 60s? I'm not sure I understand your post.

R6 Each decade takes three or so years to take on its own distinct appearance. So 1960-1963 look more like 1958-1959 than 1965. The 1960s is a particularly interesting decade, because fashion changed more in those ten years, than in any other decade of the Twentiety Century.

My grandmother used it up until the end of her life. But the variety she used was green...the color of aloe vera gel.

R9 was for R8! Apologies!

If you want a slight upturn at the ends, that's easily achieved, But to have one's hair fully flipped and symmetrical ain't easy.

R13 In her high school senior photo, my mother's hair was styled exactly like the example in the upper left-hand corner. I say that because it was higher in the back, than what is depicted in the other images.

Some of them were hideous. Why would a teenage girl want to look like this?
