That being said, I always thought the chorus should have a second part instead of just repeating the first and instead of "the very next day you gave it away" line, he would've said the very next day, you tore it apart and then two more new lines.

It’s the perfect pop original Christmas song. Mariah’s is good although I get sick of it quickly. I have heard some by Kelly Clarkson, Faith Hill and I don’t know who else that are absolute dreck.

But I love this song. George Michael was a very talented vocalist who was seen as a joke / cheesy (he kind of was, but still) for most of his career.

I love the song, but it is not actually very Christmasy. All I want for Christmas is more festive, though it has been played to death.

I wasn’t a fan of the music particularly, but George always seemed like a really nice man. There were so many stories of his kindness and generosity which came out after he died. He also had a sense of humour about himself which many performers of his stature lack.
