What can I do with 100% cranberry juice?

It's too sour to drink straight. What can I do with it? Don't bother telling me to shove it up my butt-- I ALREADY TRIED THAT.

Mix it with water or soda water. Add some sugar or simple syrup to it. I'm sure it's very sour.

by Anonymousreply 1November 26, 2021 2:05 AM

Add a splash of vodka!

by Anonymousreply 2November 26, 2021 2:06 AM

Mix it with apple juice, Sprite or some other lemon-lime soda, ginger ale, plus vodka or gin if you want a cocktail.

by Anonymousreply 3November 26, 2021 2:07 AM

I combine it with 100% apple juice and then it’s drinkable

by Anonymousreply 4November 26, 2021 2:07 AM

Mix it with champagne and orange liqueur to make a Poinsettia Champagne Cocktail

by Anonymousreply 5November 26, 2021 2:10 AM

Thanks for the suggestions! I don't really want to buy a bottle of vodka or champagne. Do you think it would go with soda water and Grand Marnier or Cointreau? As for non-alcoholic drinks, I have apple cider on hand. Do you think that it would taste ok mixed with that?

by Anonymousreply 6November 26, 2021 2:13 AM

shove it up your butt

by Anonymousreply 7November 26, 2021 2:17 AM

Somebody already mentioned that apple juice works, so I'd imagine cider would too.

by Anonymousreply 8November 26, 2021 2:17 AM

Yes, I saw the apple juice suggestion. I'm wondering if the spices in the cider would be gross mixed with cranberry.

Give this a try.

Splash it all over you and play Car Accident.

Drink it straight regularly and you can avoid a lot of pain from gout

by Anonymousreply 14November 26, 2021 2:32 AM

Ok I tried mixing it with apple cider = delicious! I also invented a Sunday morning cocktail:

1 ginger flavored sparkling water

1 shot Cointreau

1 shot Chambord, for sweetness

1 shot cranberry juice

1 sprig of mint

What should I call it?

Call it a Red & Snowy (like a Christmas Dark & Stormy).

I like Perrier with a splash of straight cranberry and a couple squeezes of lime juice.

by Anonymousreply 22November 28, 2021 7:57 PM

Can you ferment it?

by Anonymousreply 23November 28, 2021 8:05 PM

Use it with 7up or Sprite.

[quote]It's too sour to drink straight.

I do not find that to be the case. I also like 100% Cherry Juice.

All things in moderation, though. Since I'm diabetic, I cannot have a lot of juice.

by Anonymousreply 25November 28, 2021 8:58 PM

About an ounce or two of unsweetened cranberry + soda water to fill a large glass =Totally refreshing.

Thin it with apple juice, yes. Once I bought a quart of cherry juice. Looked at ingrediants, it was mostly apple juice. Called the company hotline , was told straignt cherry juice was too strong, so they cut it with apple juice, An industry standard.
