Modeled drugged and left dumped and dead at hospital
by Anonymous | reply 600 | July 4, 2022 9:44 PM |
Meh. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Any woman who goes to a man's apartment she met in a nightclub is looking for sex and or drugs, and willingly takes her chances.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 18, 2021 4:27 PM |
Would you say that about a man, too r1?

R1 Fuck off troll! How many gay men, myself included, meet strangers on apps? Gay men put themselves in danger for sex all the time.
This poor woman. My heart goes out to her family.

How is wanting sex with a man you met “playing stupid games?”
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 18, 2021 4:31 PM |
People who produce snuff porn take their victims to the emergency room afterwards?
Any woman who goes home with a man she doesn’t know in the early hours of the morning is stupid, but that doesn’t mean she deserved what she got.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 18, 2021 4:33 PM |
Just because the victims are women most people will think they deserve what they got for clubbing, taking drugs, and going home with men. Society sucks.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 18, 2021 4:34 PM |
How touching that they dropped her off in front of a hospital after she stopped breathing. It probably took them an hour to organize the balaclavas.

People (except maybe for Kanye) don’t just happen to have a collection of balaclavas and black outfits lying around their house, so there must have been some kind of criminal setup from the get go.
Christy Giles's lifeless body was allegedly left by men in balaclavas [bold]driving a Prius with no plates[/bold] at Southern California Hospital in Culver City at 5 p.m. on November 14.
Surveillance footage recorded the men dumping the body of Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, outside Kaiser Permanente hospital in West LA two hours later.
[...]
Dusty Giles, a 49-year-old nurse who lives in Dora near Birmingham, Alabama, said she was convinced her daughter was drugged.
'My daughter is a military police officer's daughter, her father Leslie served in Iraq,' she told The Sun.
[bold]'My daughters have been taught literally how to kill a person with a ballpoint pen.[/bold]
'My daughter would have fought like hell and from my understanding from speaking to the emergency room doctor and nurse, they did not see any visible bruises, scratches, or any indication of an altercation.
'The only way that these men would have kept my daughter and Hilda for over 10 hours would be by giving them drugs, maybe tying them up.'
'Marcela took a liking to one of these guys. They all left together to go to this party in the Hollywood Hills. But they didn't end up going to that party at all. They ended up at these guys' houses. They left the East LA party at about 4:45am.'
[bold]Dusty Giles said that Cilliers had accessed her phone, and the last text message her daughter sent was at 5.38am on Saturday.
She told Cabrales-Arzola: 'Let's get out of here,' with the wide eyes emoji, Dusty said.
Cabrales-Arzola - who had only recently moved from Mexico to LA - replied 'Yes' and said she had called for an Uber.[/bold]
'That's the last time we know that Christy was alive and able to move and do something of her own free will,' Dusty Giles told The Sun.
'The girls were obviously not speaking out loud in front of these guys, they were texting each other.
'I believe they drugged them to keep them and I believe they probably raped them.
'Maybe throughout the day they had to give them more and more to keep them subdued.
'These men had them for over 10 hours to clean them up and drop them off.
'If it was an accidental overdose, why not call 911?
'Why do you wait 10 hours until she is dead to fling her on a sidewalk, remove your license plates, obscure your face?
'It doesn't track, it's not logical.'
Not just any car with no plates, a Prius. This reminds me of the show Weeds, one of the drug dealers drove a Prius because they're common and quiet.

R28 she looks high or on something there. Being an instragram "model" with a husband who photographs you, is not really a model with an agency contract, now is it?
It screams "for sale" to me.

Reminds me of the doctor I. New York who was married with 3 kids and a former America’s junior Miss winner who went out to party with some guys and she overdosed and they left her in front of an apartment building.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 18, 2021 6:16 PM |
It sounds like they thought they were going up to party at some lavish Hollywood Hills home, and ended up in some sketchy apartment instead.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 18, 2021 6:43 PM |
I actually appreciate OP summarizing the story in his own words, despite the baklava vs. balaclava. IMO, it's hard to sift through endless quotes from a news story. Nice to have a brief, factual summary.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 18, 2021 7:00 PM |
A few years ago she was roommates with my favorite obscure retired gay porn twink Skylar Starr (who I'm guessing no one here has ever heard of). She posted something about how cool it was to live/be friends with a gay porn star.
That being said, she was apparently a 'real' model, as in signed with a modeling agency, and got to model actual clothes every once in a while. She really didn't have a lot of followers though, circa 16k before her death.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 18, 2021 7:37 PM |
Apparently one of the perpetrators has been identified as Dave Pearce aka Dave Bryant. He appears to have ties to Ron Jeremy and, according to one comment I read, lives with 3 porn stars (women I suppose), and 'likes to get fucked up the ass by black trannies'.
It's weird though; you see his name floating around social media, but DM et al. aren't naming names yet. Why not? Am I missing something here? People are accused of horrible, yet to be proven crimes all the time. And why were the husband and family so quick to hire a private investigator?
Something is odd about this whole story.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 18, 2021 7:42 PM |
I'm guessing fentanyl was involved.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 18, 2021 7:46 PM |
Can you provide a link, R36?
I looked up the names you mentioned and the only thing I found with the two of them together is a site that reports phone numbers. There are reports from 2012, 2013, 2016, 2020 and yesterday.
December 26, 2020: Dave Pearce is a low level thief, con artist, shoplifter, drug dealer and HIV positive dirt bag. He will eventually be killed or locked up. Stay away from this loser.

R38, it's in the comments under the husband's most recent Facebook post. You probably need an account to read them.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 18, 2021 8:15 PM |
What happened Christy Giles and her friend is tragic beyond belief. And the text messages do make it sound like there was foul play involved. That being said, something is off about this aggressive pushing of a certain narrative by the husband. For the first few days after her death, no 'official' sources from the LA/SoCal area reported on it. I couldn't find any short, factual news item along the lines of, 'Young woman found dead near hospital of suspected drug overdose ... victim was later identified as Christy Giles, 24 ...'. . But fast forward a few days and the story is ALL over the news; with long-winded articles full of lurid scenarios that treat the husband's theories pretty much as fact. Strangely though, none of these articles mention the alleged perpetrators' names, despite claiming they have been identified.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 18, 2021 9:29 PM |
Even though the mother says Christy was very open about her recreational drug use, partying etc., I think the family is probably in denial about her lifestyle and the circles she run in. She was signed with an agency and appears to have had some legit modeling jobs, but they were probably few and far between. Most of her recent posts were 'glamour shots' taken by her husband and other relatively unknown photographers. No designer/brand etc. tagged. She was traveling a lot, posted photos from yachts and glamourous vacations that I doubt her model salary and his earnings as a photographer would have paid for. Before her marriage, she had a roommate who did porn and escorted, and thought it was exciting. That girl was no stranger to the seedy side of Hollywood.
None of this means that she deserved to be killed, or make it any less tragic if this was yet another accidental overdose.

Somethings off. Is it 100% proven there “husband” (super creepy vibes) was in San Fran? He sees her locale is not moving and doesn’t find it odd? He then sees her at hospital? He could’ve called her and realized she’s not moved from the same place for hours and she’s not answering his calls so call THE COPS! I think he wore the baklava (ha!) and a night of drugging and weird sex shit ended in ODing and the Mexican smart chick with way too many names wanted no part of their sketch lifestyle so she was drugged. Idk just weird shit

by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 18, 2021 10:54 PM |
Heroin in California tends to be black tar which is spoked rather than injected. Fentanyl has been replacing it as it is cheaper and easier to use and turns up in other drugs.

All the tributes on social media describe her as a 'joyous', happy-go-lucky person who'd light up every room with her smile and so on and so forth, and the husband describes their marriage as 'fairy-tale' (of course he does), but her twitter paints a very different picture. Lots of posts about mental health, trauma, 'crying in the back of an uber' etc., especially in the last few weeks/months. Now, it could have been just navel gazing from a self-absorbed young person, but to me it seems like she was going through something. I've been following her for a while (I'm the stalker-y loser obsessed with her former porn star roommate...), and I'd say her posts took a turn for the dark.

Here's Skylar Starr. I'm guessing that the name "Skylar" was the proto-"Jayden"---he looks like an acquired taste or guilty pleasure. Bleached blonde is rarely a good look, esp. on someone who looks like the typical skinny twink in Atlanta from bumfuck Alabama.

This reminds me of that other IG “model” and “influencer” who was a “sweet” “free spirit” with shady friends and a much older controlling husband who wound up dead. Lots of them, actually.
I feel so bad for their parents, who are powerless to stop their daughters’ horrible demise.
by Anonymous | reply 114 | November 19, 2021 4:20 AM |
I realize it's very easy to criticize the victims because of their perceived lifestyle.
But the last text messages (if real) suggest that they were unwilling participants who knew a bridge had been crossed.
The dead girl is an easy "moralizing" target, but her companion seemed to have her head screwed on and a career and life before her. Neither one of them in any way deserved this and that should go without saying.
The whole thing is horrific.
And I don't trust the husband any more than I do/did that Murdaugh pig.

Hiring a P.I. now is actually a good move.
Right now is the best time to collect evidence & interview people. Like asking for Ring videos from neighbors that will be deleted later.
If the police show no interest in the case later, it's hard for a P.I. to just pick up the case months/years later when pieces of evidence are gone, witnesses are hard to track down, people no longer remember things, etc.

Remember that Alexis Sharkey (free spirit scenester and wannabe influencer who was dumped in a ditch, perfectly clean and without a bruise or scratch on her) was thought to have been a possible OD. She’d been strangled. Also I just found out her husband killed himself last week.
by Anonymous | reply 184 | November 20, 2021 10:23 AM |
I'm disappointed with the development of this story, or lack thereof. Too bad, because it's way more interesting than the Gaby Petito case. No cause of death, no update on the brain dead friend. It's like the husband planted the story to bring attention to his GoFundMe and media made zero effort to keep it going. Also, the husband is sleazy big time, as many of you mentioned. I also thought that was that the marriage was some kind of pimp and his "protege" situation.
by Anonymous | reply 185 | November 20, 2021 10:42 AM |
Yeah, it's odd how this story was EVERYWHERE for a couple of days and then just sort of went away.
As for her cause of death, 'undetermined' usually means that the answer is in the toxicology report, which can take weeks to complete. However, it should be clear by now whether or not she was sexually abused.
Sadly, the other girl will most likely be taken off life support within the next few days. Has anyone ever 'recovered' from having no brain activity?
Re: Kaiser. If Kaiser had the closest hospital (geographically), maybe that's why they got treated there. Kaiser contracts with other hospitals (emergency and maybe even specialty care) and vice-versa.
Under federal law, an emergency department is required to assess, stabilize, and begin treatment of any person who is brought there or brings themself there for treatment, regardless of their insurance coverage or lack of insurance or financial status. The emergency department is then allowed to transfer the patient somewhere else after they are stabilized due to insurance reasons. But Kaiser is not allowed to refuse to see someone who is brought there for emergency care.

I find it quite telling that 1. her instagram is still being updated, and 2. the privacy settings of her twitter page were changed after her death. Obviously someone has access to her social media passwords, and who else could it be but the husband? Maybe he only found them after her death and logged into her accounts (which would still be a violation of privacy imo), but it seems more likely to me that he already knew them. Also, the way she always shared her location with him 'for safety' ... is it normal for young couples to do that?

Even in 2021, a model with a septum piercing and random tats is unlikely to book high-profile jobs unless she's already A list. She must have known (and accepted) that she wouldn't hit it big in the fasion world, and focused on other means of income ...
I also found an interesting exchange on her twitter page (before it was set to private). She complained about someone stealing her designer sunglasses, and some guy replied to her saying she only got them for having a one-night stand with a (married) 60-year-old at a party.
by Anonymous | reply 194 | November 20, 2021 6:11 PM |
I'm sure the husband is lying through his teeth about the 'fairytale marriage', but I also think there was foul play involved in her death. Both can be true at the same time ... Let's not forget that Dave Pearce has been accused of abuse/rape before.
I think hubs doesn't want to admit to himself (let alone others) that she lifestyle she led, likely with his approval, contributed to her death. It will be interesting to see if other people from her inner circle start speaking up.

Regarding the husband being able to track the wife's whereabouts, that is common procedure for call girls when they go out to meet a client. They allow a friend, S.O., or driver to track them should anything go awry.

I am wondering if the girl and “husband” were even really legally married. Sorry to keep harping on this, but the hospital would give information to the husband because he’s legally next of kin. He said her parents had to get the information from the hospital. That doesn’t make sense.
Amd how did they even identify her? Did the people who dumped her leave her purse and phone with her? And if they killed her, why leave her at a hospital with cameras? They could have left her behind a dumpster or a park. These weren’t very smart killers.

The relationship seemed open, as far as my friend was concerned. This friend became a judge and suddenly he describes himself as having a "wife." I've never heard about him getting married.

Not me. Pearce's neighbors no doubt called the police before and got no satisfaction from them. He was weird. People were coming & going all the time. Loud nouses were always coming from the apartment. They knew he was involved at least with prostitutes and drugs, and probably in the porn industry. If you called police on him, he'd know it came from your apartmwnt. You've obviosly never been in a position where you would be retaliated against, and cops would do nothing. Others have been in that situation before and theyre not risking it again just to have police either ignore it, or have cops say it 's some junkie on a bad trip and the neighbor now has you marked a narc.

R213. Marriage can become important in terms of inheritance (in many states surviving spouses by law get a certain percentage of the estate), taxes, health insurance, social security benefits, and so on.
Poor people don't need to worry about inheritance, taxes, etc and they have very low rates of marriage. The opposite is true for the upper middle class/upper class - much higher marriage rates and lower divorce rates. They know how to protect their financial assets.

R214, Agreed. Amazes me how many posters think one can move so easily without losing a lot of money breaking a lease, selling an otherwise satisfactory home.
I had a real black widow and insane, foul woman living upstairs. Neighbors called LE when her screaming hysterics got really bad but I was the one always blamed. She'd lived in the complex longer than I had and made up excuses to report me to the HOA.

R215, understood. My friend who became a judge is / was not rich. He is, however, the type to spend money on himself and himself only. (E.g., takes exotic trips ... without his "wife.") If anything, he would purposely *not* get married in order to preserve his own assets. I'm calling BS on him actually being married now. I suspect he's calling his longtime GF his "wife" now, because he's a judge and he thinks it sounds good.
why the hell would you give that kind of damning testimony to a tabloid?
Its not "testimony." Its a remark to a tabloid. There likely will not be a trial. Too expensive. There will be a plea bargain. If it did go to trial, the guy could say he was lying to the tabloid so prosecutor wouldn't call him as a witness. He 's not doing anything illegal by lying to a tabloid.....or by saying he was lying to a tabloid. It's pretty common for people to say someyjing to tv or newspapers immediately after a crime, then later say they were "mistaken" or "didn't recollect" later on, when they realize theyve become involved in a serious legal case

I can believe that sex workers do that as a safety measure, although it's also probably done so that the pimp can be sure the whore is where they're supposed to be.
But among "normal" couples, constant phone tracking is the sign of a person being so controlling and jealous that they'll freak out and become abusive if their SO stops at the park or the convenience store on the way home from work.

If he was her legal husband, why wouldn’t the hospital give her information? He’s next of kin. When my father was incapacitated in the hospital, my mother had to authorize us (his children!) to receive his medical information. They hadn’t even spoken for a decade, and she lived in another state, but everything had to go through her until she signed it over to us. A marriage certificate is a powerful legal instrument and trumps everything. It’s why we fought for marriage equality.
These people seemed to be counterculture fringe types and probably had a “spiritual” marriage. I have a relative who had a wedding but it wasn’t a legal one because his “wife” didn’t want to lose her late husband’s army benefits and pension.

There are couples, married and unmarried, in which the female is an escort and the husband/boyfriend is complicit in varying degrees for various reasons. Generally it’s because the escort can make far better money than the immature husband/boyfriend, or they are on drugs and need the money, or the male genuinely enjoys the business manager/bodyguard role.

Why is he stupid? If they had a whore/pimp relationship, then he's lost a major source of income, but has made it up with a surprisingly successful Gofundme. There's nothing stupid about getting six figures for minimal effort!
And if you're worried about him getting in trouble for pimping out his now-dead wife, I seriously doubt the LA DA's office will file charges there. They'll be looking for much bigger crimes here.

Stressing "thin" as they're physically more vulnerable. Many men think all they have to do is get a girl to drink/do drugs and then they can do anything they want to them no matter how rough it gets.

What really happened could be pretty unsatisfying. The girls could have bought their own drugs from a stranger at the warehouse party, gone to the afterparty and done their own lines in the kitchen while other people were doing their own drugs or just partying in the other room. It’s not that uncommon at afterparties for people to stick to what they brought themselves, for the sake of “safety”.
It turned out girls’ drugs were laced with fentanyl, which made them feel weird. Perhaps Chrissy needed to lie down and that’s why she texted Hilda to take her home. Hilda started feeling sick from from the lines as well and lied down with Chrissy. Others continued partying and let the girls chill until they felt better.
A couple of hours later the party was coming to an end, but the girls were still “sleeping” - that’s when the guys discovered that one of them OD’d and was dead while the other was barely alive. Not knowing what to do, they dropped them off at hospitals.
It could be as simple as that, but it’s not in husband’s best interest. For the sake of grifting on GoFundMe it’s better to make the case as mysterious as possible.

To whomever keeps making the “human trafficking” comments, you must not know any young women. Not every young female who turns to prostitution is kidnapped or coerced, sometimes it’s a gradual slide due to an incremental relaxing of standards and principles. Many are women without resources, but not all.
I had a friend who went to a top-notch university and was signed with a prestigious modeling agency in NYC. As she aged into her mid-twenties, work was scarce. She became a stripper and eventually had ‘patrons’, older men who would buy things for her like furniture sets, jewelry, electronics, cruises, and tuition to an art school. Many of the ladies she worked with did the same thing, and from there it’s an easy slide into becoming an escort. One of the gals was the daughter of a university dean. Another two were former Marines. All of these women had other options to make money but they were young and didn’t want to be tied down to a 9 to 5. They enjoyed the lifestyle while it lasted and most eventually got married and had kids.

" I understand LE can't say too much because it's an ongoing investigation, but didn't they release updates every few days about Gabby Petito?"
Petito was "missing" for ages, and the police wanted to get the word out, in the hopes that she might be found. Well, she was found, but the story stayed in the news for weeks afterwards because the killer BF also went missing, and there was a second hunt! Nothing like the thrill of the chase to get people interested!
And this poor gal never made the headlines until she was dead. And it's true, the likeliest explanation is an overdose of recreational drugs, with the second-likeliest being date-rape drugs on top of party drugs. No conspiracy, no human trafficking, just "partying".
she had been living in LA since at least 2016, probably 2015, and was familiar with 'party drugs'. We're not talking about a clueless babe in the woods here.
She wasn't very successful as a model then, seeing as nobody outside of the LA party scene had ever heard of her. She was obviously making money through other "avenues".
by Anonymous | reply 316 | November 22, 2021 12:12 AM |
She probably couldn't live off her modeling work (at least not comfortably), but she was represented by an established modeling agency, and I'm guessing had just enough connections to get invited to industry parties/fancy clubs where she'd cross paths with wealthy guys looking for 'entertainment'. As R313 said, it probably was a gradual slide from full-time modeling (or trying to book modeling jobs) into escorting. She saw a roommate suck cock for money and make it seem glamourous and 'empowered'. By the time the realization set in that she wasn't going to hit it big as a model, she'd probably met dozens of girls doing the same.

Ms Giles got the news that her daughter was at the hospital when her son-in-law, who was in San Fransisco for the weekend, was desperately trying to reach his wife all day following the party, and he noticed that the location of her phone had moved from West Hollywood to the Culver City hospital.
“He then immediately called the Culver City hospital. All they would do was confirm she was a patient in their emergency room. He then immediately called me. I’m a registered nurse. I spoke to them – I knew what they needed,” said Ms Giles.
“They told me that ‘this was not normal for them, and that three unidentified men had dropped her lifeless body on the sidewalk’ and when her husband called they thought it could be one of them calling back and they weren’t giving any information out. ...
Okay that answers some of my questions. But I still don’t understand how the hospital told anyone anything, even Christy’s mother. The police should have been involved at that point - a dead woman left on a footpath is almost certainly suspicious, and once they saw she was dumped there, it’s a criminal matter.

The hospital should have directed anyone who called about her to contact the police. She was already dead on arrival and the hospital didn't really provide any treatment. It's entirely a police matter at that point.

No way. If I worked at the hospital and someone called asking about a DOA that was dumped in the parking lot I’d ask them for their name, their number and their address and I’d tell them if she shows up, we will get in touch. Then I’d hand the information to the police. You have no idea who’s calling. It could be anyone claiming to be a spouse. Police will formally ID the victim & contact next of kin precisely because it is a police matter.

I don't think ER personnel are formally trained in what to do if someone drops a dead body in the ambulance bay, it doesn't happen often enough.
As noted many times, most people who want to get rid of dead bodies throw them in rivers or dumpsters, or if they're in LA, the Angeles National Forest. I've heard that's the semi-official body dumping ground, the west coast equivalent of the Jersey Pine Barrens.
by Anonymous | reply 324 | November 22, 2021 2:47 AM |
R324, must be pretty stupid ER staff if they can’t figure out they need to call the police when someone dumps a DOA on the footpath and drives away. Unattended deaths require an investigation by the ME. I’m not even a doctor and I know that. Was it just a bunch of high school dropouts staffing the ER that night?
I don't think ER personnel are formally trained in what to do if someone drops a dead body in the ambulance bay, it doesn't happen often enough.
It does happen. I used to work in an inner-city trauma center. We'd get gang-bangers that had been shot, who would be shoved out of a car at the entrance, and then the car would speed away. Some were DOA, others were treated and survived. We would joke and say this person was a VIP who arrived by private car.

And yes, there's mystery here. It might be totally different than the Gabby Pepito case, because Christie and Hilda are different women than her, but still... two attractive young women suddenly turn up (half) dead at a hospital. Of course it garners interest what happened here and if someone is responsible for this. Were they regular party girls? Did they slowly slide into doing escorting, sex work, whatever? How does the husband fit in? Did they go to the "after party", because of one ill-advised, possibly drunk decision? Or did they have a habit of going with strange, sleazy men? Did they accidentally OD with fentanyl laced drugs? Were they forced to take the drugs by their sleazy company? R335, who was the “extra mom”?
R340, I think she’s interesting, too. Even if she had a legit career, she may have enjoyed earning extra cash doing sex things or having a sugar daddy. How did they meet? The two other cases that are similar to this (in my mind) have young influencer women meeting their “best friends” via Bumble BFF or similar apps for making friends. It seems extremely sketchy and a breeding ground for predatory people. These women move to areas where they don’t know anyone amd that’s how they meet people. I don’t know how Hilda and Christy met, but I would be surprised if they *didn’t* meet that way.

R344, One thing I noticed is that tons of people have posted tributes to Christy on instagram, but I've seen VERY few posts mentioning Hilda, or showing the two girls together. It really doesn't look like they knew each other very well. And there's another thing. As I have mentioned before, the last tweets on Christy's (now private) twitter account sounded like she wasn't in a good place mentally. In one post she actually complained about having lost friends, or old friends not reaching out anymore or something like that. Leaving aside the theories about prostitution etc., she sounded exactly like the kind of girl who'd cling to, and go out to party with someone she'd only just met.

I don’t think she was a hooker. She went out with friends, met some guys who knew of a party and had drugs so they went.
She and her husband are a little hippy dippy Burning Man types who party with whomever. So, for her to party without her husband is not too strange, as it’s their lifestyle. He probably keeps tabs on her because he knows their world can be iffy sometimes and she’s a free-spirited beauty whom he loves.
This is just my opinion.

Please, nobody thinks she was a hooker just because she went out clubbing. You sound like a 14-year-old who just got invited to their first party, and thinks everyone else is out of touch.
Christy was a little-known model with so many nude/semi nude photos on her instagram page that instagram threatened to remove her account. Few of her photos show her modeling actual clothes (or perfume, jewellery) with a designer/brand name tagged. She posted some full-frontal nudes on twitter (nothing pornographic though). Most of the photographers she worked with were fairly unknown with less than 10k followers.
Modeling doesn't pay that much unless you're A-list and get to work for famous brands, and it doesn't look like she was booked for 'real' modeling very often. I don't see how she could have sustained her lifestyle unless the had a lucrative side job. A lot of models do some escorting on the side. You also have to be somewhat open to the idea of sex work to let a porn actor move into your apartment.
Obviously none of that proves that she was a hooker, escort, or whatever you like to call it, but it's not much of a reach to think she might have been.

I think r351 underestimates how much quid pro quo happens between attractive women and horny men. It’s not exactly strict prostitution, but there’s a lot of gray area. To paraphrase an old Paul Theroux novel, plenty of girls would do plenty of things for a pair of pretty boots or a weekend in Ibiza.

Reminds me of the case where the actress who played Angie on Welcome Back Kotter was found unconscious & bleeding in a Long Island Railroad car. She was taken to the hospital I worked at and was treated HORRIBLY by the media. She was a crime victim and they laughed at her and made her out to be a slut. She had been invited to spend the weekend in Southampton with producer Roy Radin & his girlfriend. She was drugged, raped and it was filmed. She was dumped on the train by someone. Radin claimed she was a willing sex partner in a threesome or something like that. Media believed Radin. There were so many photographers and video camera men outside the hospital waiting to take her picture. We tried to sneak her out in a nurse’s uniform but they recognized her.
Radin was latermurdered.

This whole case is so odd. It's been almost two weeks, the name of one of the alleged perpetrators is all over social media, a neighbor allegedly heard 'moaning' from his apartment, but still no update/comment from authorities? All we know is what the husband and family are thinking. None of their claims have been confirmed as far as I'm aware. Were the girls raped? Is there really a surveillance tape showing 3 masked men dumping Christy's body at the hospital? Do the girls' final text messages say what the husband claims they say? Surely some of those questions could be answered by now?

by Anonymous | reply 368 | November 26, 2021 10:56 PM |
R368 yes, but was a deliberate OD or not? I don't buy the QAnon-esque sex worker/human trafficking BS, but the neighbor saying they heard painful moans all day and that the girls were dumped at separate hospitals makes me think that Creepy Dave meant to rape them, or even meant to rape them A LOT, but didn't meant to kill them.
But he probably could've avoided the murder charges incoming if he dumped them when they started moaning.
by Anonymous | reply 369 | November 26, 2021 11:09 PM |
If they were raped - or even if it were consensual - it would be noted in an exam or autopsy. We might not ever know the answer, but the authorities probably know.
What I wonder is, if there were people doing lines in the kitchen, did they OD, too?
And the report of someone moaning in pain - was it a man or a woman? Wouldn’t it be more or less evident?

Note that the husband said about the Hilda's toxicology results, 'I GUESS they found heroin in her system'. So he doesn't even know for sure. Maybe it was Fentanyl. Christy's mother also mentioned trace amounts of cocaine and something else I forgot (ecstasy?).

R379, thanks for sharing that. Good.
R380, I think that Pearce’s sleazy behavior landed on just this side of “legal”. Probably would have hinged on “he said/she said”. The women he preyed upon were probably young and perhaps easily discredited or written off. It happened here: “that’s what happens when you go home with a stranger”, shit like that. Date rape drugs clear the system quickly, too. By the time someone is able to get tested, it’s too late.
This is probably the first incident where there’s enough evidence to do something.

Too funny to see people whining in this thread that they haven’t heard any updates from police. Well, hate to tell you, but a case involving a dead and a wounded young woman which has been well publicized isn’t considered by police to be entertainment for nosy old fraus. They’re quite happy to carry on their investigations without giving press conferences.

Maybe, self-righteous cunt at R383, people were confused because it sounded like the case had pretty much been solved? Also, Christy Giles' family didn't seem to have much trust the police would do their job. They launched a gofundme to pay for private investigators TWO days after her death, and the interviews the gave, and what they posted on social media made it sound like LAPD were treating it as yet another overdose!

Idk, R386. At first I thought the husband and families were in denial about the girls' drug use; I even suspected Cilliers of having made up parts of the story he told. But with all that's come out about Dave Pearce, it seems likely there was foul play involved. Likely not premediated murder or some kind of crazy snuff porn scenario, but a case of date-rape drugging gone terribly wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 387 | November 29, 2021 3:50 AM |
...obviously date-rape drugging is *always* wrong; I meant that the guys accidentally gave them too much (or the stuff turned out to be laced) , panicked when the girls overdosed and instead of attempting to save them, tried to cover their tracks.
by Anonymous | reply 388 | November 29, 2021 3:54 AM |
R388 Yes, I'm leaning towards such a scenario too. Either the girls took drugs from the guys, that were (unbeknownst to them and maybe even the men) laced with fentanyl or something, which lead to an accidental overdose. Or they were given drugs they'd usually not take for date rape purposes. I don't think anyone planned to kill those young women, driving them to a hospital afterwards just wouldn't make sense in that case. There are better ways to dispose of corpses. Maybe the men realised something was wrong the next morning, but didn't immediately bring the girls to a hospital (hence the moaning), because they hoped they'd get better on their own after sleeping it off and nobody would get in trouble.

R390, I don't know about Hilda, but one article mentioned that no bruises or scratches were found on Christy's body.
Yet the neighbor claims he overheard someone moaning in pain. Is it possible to rape someone, so violently as to make them moan in pain (for hours!), without leaving any visible injuries? Was there no or very little bruising, bleeding etc. because she was already dead? Did they only rape Hilda?
It's all very weird.
by Anonymous | reply 391 | November 30, 2021 5:47 AM |
Christy Giles' mother liked this post on instagram. The family doesn't seem to trust LAPD at all.
Also guilty: the Beverly Hills & Los Angeles Police Departments for dereliction of duty (at best) in failing to lock this guy up years ago. He was arrested 5 times over 10 years, most recently, this summer. The LAPD also allows rampant drug use & other bad behavior by celebrities in exchange for favors (being invited to their sex parties, for example). Apparently laws do not apply if you are rich or famous .... #lapdiscorrupt
Interestingly, Hilda Cabrales' father seems to have more confidence police will do their job (quote from a DM article):
'The detectives have spoken with us several times and they told us that for the LAPD this is personal because the people behind this have done it before but it had never gone as far as this,' he confirmed. 'The police opened an emergency line and have apparently been speaking with people but have asked us to be patient while they put the case together,' Rivera continued. 'The detectives told us they're indignant that these guys had the chance to save Hilda and Christy's lives but preferred to abandon them to their luck.'
by Anonymous | reply 392 | November 30, 2021 5:57 AM |
R391 I guess there are a number of reasons why the neighbour might have heard moaning that don't necessarily involve rape or injuries caused by rape. I don't know how ecactly a fentanyl or other drug overdose looks like, but if your body is barely holding on, then I'm sure moaning is possible. Maybe LAPD is holding some information back, but if you're half dead from being raped, then yeah, your body would show signs. And if you can't say if the victim had consensual sex or not, then I guess that alone wouldn't cause you to moan in pain for a day and then die. So I'm pretty sure the main aspect here is drug use. The question is if that was voluntary on the women's part or not. Or whatever there is in between (e.g. voluntarily taking coke, but unfortunately coming across laced stuff), then it's all about who knew and did it on purpose etc.
R392 Depending on what might have happened a bereaved parent could be prone to not being satisfied with what LAPD is doing, because the explanation might not feel sufficient enough for the tragedy that happened. The post stated drug use and bad behaviour as problems, but while I'm sure the former is sometimes turned a blind eye to, if celebs are involved, the latter is not exactly punishable by law. What even is bad behaviour? Having sleazy parties with shady women? Perfecly legal. Parties with sex workers? Not sure how laws are in California regarding that, in my country it would be legal as well. Rape? Definitely a crime. So... feels it could be anything and if they are at least half-clever then they know how to keep it on the sleazy, but legal side of things.

I find the whole thing even more confusing now. So according to the anonymous 3rd friend, those guys were twice the age of the other party guests, didn't fit in, acted weird and obnoxious and eventually got kicked out of the VIP area were Hilda and Christy were hanging out, yet the girls ended up leaving with them and got in their car. Why? How? The husband said Hilda might have been attracted to one of the guys, but the friend doesn't think that was the case.
The only scenario I can think of is that ... well, they were offered drugs. And if they were desperate enough to get into a car with a bunch of much older, shady, obnoxious strangers, they must have been deeper into drugs than hubby wants to admit.

Yes, that's what the husband said. Dave Pearce et al. might have offered Christy and Hilda a ride to that party. But even if they did, WHY on earth was that offer accepted? Why would two young women get into a car with a bunch of weird, irritating strangers who were just kicked out of the club's VIP area? Why would they believe those guys were invitated to the afterparty? And how did they end up leaving with a group of people that were kicked out of 'their' part of the club? It also sounds like the girls had already made arrangements to get to the afterparty. At least it wasn't a spontaneous idea to go there. From one of the DailyMail articles:
At 5:36am a friend called Eddie who was at the official afterparty the girls had planned to go to texted Christy: 'Where you at?'
Something doesn't add up imo.

R403, that’s right. I wonder what the premise was, for taking them to that apartment instead. Detour for getting g more drugs? I’m guessing they were a bit stranded, which is why Hilda Marcela called an Uber.
Which brings me to the question I keep asking: did she actually order an Uber? What happened when they didn’t come out and get in the car, if she did? There’d be a record of that, right?
by Anonymous | reply 407 | December 6, 2021 1:29 AM |

Good. But I still want to know why the girls agreed to leave with those shady dudes. I'm not buying that they simply accepted a ride to the after party. The third friend who left early pretty much described Pearce and his friends as walking red flags; they were kicked out of the VIP area of the club. Yet it appears Hilda and Christy went with them willingly. If they were forced into the car, or already incapacitated, surely there would have been witnesses.
What happened after the third friend left?

That apartment doesn't look big enough to hold 5 people at one time. Two guys were supposedly living there? It seems mighty small for that too, unless they were sleeping in the same bed. The clutter is pretty unbelievable too. Years' worth of dust. Very, very odd. Pearce had not paid rent during the pandemic, and had been allegedly moving his stuff out over a period of weeks before the deaths. Maybe he was actually subletting to Osborne, and living someplace else. Still, it doesn't look exactly glamorous enough to be able to use to take your new gal pals back for a late evening. It's obviously not a place where anybody conducted a home life, it's just a crash pad, towels on the windows instead of curtains, the lunar-level dust, etc. Creepy. Those girls must have been offered something MIGHTY enticing for them to have willingly entered that man-cave.

^Who snapped those photos of the 2 guys leaving that bldg, and how did the Sun get hold them, I wonder? And re the photo of the 2 girls at the club: there is a 3rd lady's hand on the right side of the pic, so she has obviously been cropped out of this image. So was this photo taken at the club the night of their deaths? It seems the 2 girls who died had not known each other well or long before the night they were poisoned. Hilda is looking *mighty* tarty in the club shot, compared to the other photos that the family has supplied. Her facial expression is pretty whorish compared to the demure beauty in the family's photos of her, she looks like a completely different creature.

From time to time there are threads about how beneath the sunshine there's a dark undercurrent to LA... a kind of menace in the air. This story fits with that. The other day Clare Foy (the Queen in The Crown Clare Foy) gave an interview after a three year hiatus and among the things she said was "we need people to stop killing and raping us." It really stayed with me. At the root of this story is a fundamental disregard for... decency? women? life? I don't know but it seems to me, in terms of society, there is more that is wrong with us than there has been since before we were civilized. From guys like this to politicians embracing lying... it's a free for all and it's pretty scary, as, probably, will be the pendulum swinging back, if it does.
by Anonymous | reply 423 | December 17, 2021 2:39 PM |
^In that story, Osborn is quoted telling an acquaintance exactly what happened. The girls OD'd. He came back the next a.m. from getting a Covid test for a job, and Cristy was dead. He helped Pearce drop the body at the hospital, then they came back and found that Hilda was near death, so they delivered her to the Kaiser Hospital. No mention of how Anspach was involved in this or if he was still at the apartment at this time...These guys are living the lives of guys in their 20s, they are WAY too old to be living this kind of lifestyle...The Post goes to the apartment bldg and finds the black Prius that was apparently used to dump the 2 bodies: "Five days after the bodies were discovered, The Post visited Pearce’s Los Angeles apartment and saw what appeared to be a black Prius — with California license plates — parked in a garage on the property. The car was partially hidden by the half-closed garage door."

by Anonymous | reply 425 | December 17, 2021 2:42 PM |
Agreed, Rose, but if the girls' bodies show no signs of sexual assault, it will bolster the boys' story that the ladies basically just put themselves to sleep with some bad drugs...The worst the guys would face would be abandoning someone who was in dire need of medical attention (and they DID at least deliver them to the emergency rooms), rather than murder or manslaughter. The NEXT question would then become, why were the ladies overcome by the high toxicity of whatever treats they were sampling, but not the boys? Didn't the ladies want to share, was it a "bring your own drugs" party? How did THAT happen? It'll come down to what the toxicology report shows.
by Anonymous | reply 426 | December 17, 2021 2:49 PM |
^I.e. did the ladies' bodies contain traces of any kind of date-rape drug?
by Anonymous | reply 427 | December 17, 2021 2:53 PM |
R426...that's quite the generous interpretation. At the least, it's manslaughter. They might not have raped them because they OD'd. Who wants to rape someone having a seizure? Probably someone, but who knows if they did?
The girls wanted to leave around 5:30a, per their texts. The first girl was dumped 12 hours later and neighbors reported hearing painful moans all day. And rather than dump the girls together, they held the second girl for another 2 hours. Might she have lived if they dumped them at the same time? I'm not a doctor so who knows.
I'm also not a lawyer but it seems like these guys are pieces of shit and they are FUCKED.
I've never met them personally but I know so many of these types in LA. They live in a shitbox closet in "the right neighborhood" and despite being in LA for years, their careers are pathetic. The one guy was arrested while working as an EXTRA.

by Anonymous | reply 438 | December 17, 2021 10:53 PM |
Somebody is going to have to prove that one of the guys gave them a drug mix that killed them (PROVIDED there is no evidence of sexual assault, at which point the guys would get charged with murder/ manslaughter). If no sexual assault evidence, then they can certainly fight this out in court, point the finger at each other, simply blame the girls themselves, and see what happens. Since neither guy had any sign of drug toxicity (apparently), it seems fairly likely the guys slipped them something to knock them out and it killed them. I'm still perplexed by the neighbor's report of moaning coming from the apt for hours, though. There must be a lot of evidence the police are keeping mum about, or the neighbor is just bullshitting to seem important. If the guys slipped the girls something to knock them out for hours, how could someone have been moaning? It doesn't make sense.

R438 - if you gave them the drugs, then yes, you have all responsibility for what happens in the aftermath. If someone comes to your house and OD's on their own stuff, I don't know what the law is. It's kind of like that last Seinfeld episode, and the legal duty to rescue - it's a new development in the law in the US, some states impose such an obligation nowadays, and others don't. I don't know about CA although it does have a comparatively liberal legal system. The situation is compounded by the fact that it happened in the defendants' own home in the present case. And again, the tale of the moaning is important, it definitely adds a lot to the question of what was going on in that place. And we have indications that Pearce is a messed-up, bad dude from reports re his past.

^Because they had drugs of their own to worry about... I am NOT convinced the gals weren't poisoned, there is just not a clear story of how this all went down. For the neighbor's story to make sense about the moaning, Pearce (and maybe Osborn) must have been fucking these ladies (or, conceivably, torturing them) for quite a while, and THEN the ladies both died of overdoses. That seems somewhat unlikely to me, for it to have happened to 2 women at around the same time, hours later than their arrival at the apartment. It's still a confused story, despite seeming fairly straightforward.

It doesn't make sense that the girls brought their own drugs. If they had drugs of their own, why would they choose to hang out with a bunch of sleazy obnoxious middle-aged losers that they'd just witnessed getting kicked out of the VIP area?
If they had drugs of their own, why would they choose to hang out with a bunch of sleazy obnoxious middle-aged
Because those are precisely the age/type who would actually have real Hollywood connections/homes up in the Hollywood Hills. Certainly not young guys their own age.

I've met so many desperate Z Listers like these guys in LA. They're everywhere, bragging about their one famous friend (usually someone who was a supporting character on a sitcom 15+ years ago) and talking about what they can do for your career. You learn to stay away. Fortunately I'm not a young woman.
by Anonymous | reply 458 | December 18, 2021 12:04 AM |
Yes, but as I said R457, Christy and Hilda were partying in the VIP area of the club, and Dave Pearce et al. GOT KICKED OUT OF SAID VIP AREA! Someone had found out they lied about being friends with the DJ or something. The two girls must have witnessed that situation. It should have been obvious to them that those guys were losers and poseurs. Christy Giles had also been a model for a decade, and lived in LA for half a decade; she should have smelled a wannabe like Dave Pearce from a mile away.
They were probably already drunk and/or high on something by the time they left, but I still feel like something doesn't add up.

by Anonymous | reply 462 | December 18, 2021 12:39 AM |
I don't understand if it was heroin cut with fentanyl, it killed the two women, but the three guys with partied-for-decades bodies were fine? Enough to continue on with errands they had to do the next day.
If it was straight heroin, then the three are such hardened heroin users that it apparently had no effect, but was still strong enough to incapacitate and ultimately kill the younger two

The suggestion is strong that the guys gave the ladies something that ultimately sedated them to death. But if they delayed giving it to them for hours, what was going on all that time? How or why did the ladies not get out of the house, since they had clearly wanted to leave shortly after arriving?
by Anonymous | reply 465 | December 18, 2021 12:44 AM |
I agree that Dave Pearce is pretty handsome (albeit in a sleazy sort of way), and maybe the third friend exaggerated when she described him and his friends as crazed, obnoxious, weird and so on. I think it's possible that they didn't seem all that bad that night, and she only saw (and WANTED to see) the red flags in hindsight. IIRC, a former victim/abused ex of Pearce's said he could be very charming in the early stages of a relationship.
The part where he and his entourage got kicked out, but Hilda and Christy still left with them is definitely weird though.

If Osborn had freely (and VERY stupidly) already volunteered his story about what happened, to co-workers, you can bet he's already sung like a canary to the cops. If, as I suspect, Anspach wasn't there in the apartment with them, then it'll just be Osborn's word against Pearce's. If Anspach WAS inside, his testimony will decide how the case goes, I expect. Osborn seems guileless insofar as volunteering info about the night to casual acquaintances, and it indicates strongly that he doesn't feel like he did anything he should feel too guilty about. If he had been involved in raping those 2 ladies, he CERTAINLY would not have said a word about the night to anybody...Right?
by Anonymous | reply 467 | December 18, 2021 12:53 AM |
The third friend must be thanking her lucky stars she left early and feeling terrible she didn't make them go with her.
by Anonymous | reply 468 | December 18, 2021 12:56 AM |
I agree, R465, the timeline doesn't really make sense. The moaning overheard by the neighbor implies the girls were getting raped/abused (while still alive and conscious), but if that were the case you'd think SOMETHING would have been visible on their bodies. Scratches, bruises, abrasions, skin cells under the fingernails ... whatever. But I clearly remember an article saying NOTHING of the sort was found on Christy Giles' body, which led her mother to believe she must have been unconscious the whole time and incapable of fighting back (I think even then violent rape would have left marks on her skin, but who knows...).
by Anonymous | reply 469 | December 18, 2021 12:58 AM |
There's no way that two guys would assist dumping two dead bodies for their friend
They all had to have done something either with supplying drugs or sexual acts afterward to do something as out-of-their-minds and insane as dropping off two bodies at two different hospitals in the same area of LA and think they would get away with it
Especially in CULVER-FUCKING-CITY one of the most over-policed, over-governed city in California. Notable for installing the very first red-light camera in California near Fox Hills Mall
by Anonymous | reply 470 | December 18, 2021 1:00 AM |
^I keep imagining them stopping someplace close to the first hospital, taking off the car tag, then dumping the body, and then having to put the tag back on immediately (lest that cause a cop to stop the car). THEN they get home and realize they have to do the whole operation AGAIN for poor Hilda...

by Anonymous | reply 473 | December 18, 2021 1:06 AM |
I wonder if these 3 losers have done this before. Get a couple of girls back to their place, drug them just enough so they don’t fight back, rape them, take pics/souvenirs. Then they would drop back at the club or somewhere else
But this time it got out of hand and they misjudged the dose or the drugs had too much fentanyl in it.
I don’t think this is the first time these assholes did his.
by Anonymous | reply 474 | December 18, 2021 1:06 AM |
If the guys had a lot of drugs in their possession, I can see them deciding to dump the bodies rather than summoning an ambulance or the police. VERY DUMB, yes, especially for 2 middle-aged guys, but rational, at least.
by Anonymous | reply 475 | December 18, 2021 1:07 AM |
Dumping the girls separately (and several hours apart) makes no logical sense. What exactly was the plan for Hilda after they dumped Christy?
And if a coroner can prove the girls would've lived if they'd gotten attention sooner...they're fuuuucked. No more Hollywood hanger on parties for you, Dave
by Anonymous | reply 476 | December 18, 2021 1:08 AM |
Maybe the 'moaning' the neighbor heard was porn? Maybe they were playing it at maximum volume while trying to figure out how to dispose of the bodies, so they could later claim the girls were still alive at that time and happily bouncing on their dicks?
I know I know, sounds like a bullshit theory ... but maybe they panicked and didn't think things through.

The coroner can tell with reasonable certainty how long Christy had been dead at the time when her body was first discovered at the hospital. And Osborn said that Hilda had a "faint pulse" when they came back to the apartment. (Without being a medical professional, I am skeptical that that average Joe could distinguish between a regular pulse and a "faint" one. Not an expert by any means, but maybe opioids really slow down the pulse?)

I think the moaning is a bit of a red herring. Who the fuck knows what the neighbor heard? It wasn’t alarming enough for them to call police, evidently.
This reminds me of the Joey Comunale case. Psycho kills some poor soul and his buttboys take care of the disposal of the body. They’re so terrified of being accomplices that they get in even deeper.

He did the same thing to me about putting his number in my phone as “my husband “ - later I noticed huge red flags and blocked him from my phone, and my memory. I am not surprised his bail is set at 1m. The cameraman I also met separately, he dated a friend of mine and was polite enough, seemed like he was trying to be on his best behavior to impress my friend. Both of these guys have connections to Hollywood so young models who are trying to “make it” could be susceptible to their claims of knowing some person or going together to some other afterparty and ending up at some random guy’s house.

^I don't think the new story about it says so, one way or the other. Christy's husbands access to her phone account showed their location through the evening, so the police new promptly that Pearce and Osborn's apartment was the last place they were before the night ended. The two perps would have been found with or without the co-workers having ratted on Osborn initially.

R498, I always thought the snuff porn theory was bullshit. It sounded too much like something 'Enty' of CrazyDaysAndNights would come up with.
I've seen a guy sharing the same out-there story about 'snuff producers' in his Venice neighborhood over and over again on different social media platforms. He claimed those people were being protected by gangs, and that he 'confronted' them after they attacked his ex girlfriend. Oh, and he found out that some of Christy Giles' instragram photos were taken in said neighborhood. I strongly suspect that same guy contacted her husband right after her death and told him the same story, and that in his intitial state of shock, Jan Cilliers believed it.

According to Christy Giles' mother, the LA District Attorney’s Office DECLINED to press charges against the three men for their involvement in Christy's and Hilda's deaths. Tbh I'm disappointed but not really surprised. It doesn't sound like either girl was sexually abused, and whether or not they took the drugs that killed them willingly would be hard to prove. However, Dave Pearce has been charged with 4 counts of sexual assault in other cases.
From Dusty Leslie Giles' Facebook account:
We are so saddened, frustrated and disappointed to get the news this evening that the LA District Attorney’s Office DECLINED to press charges against Pearce, Ansbach, and Osborn for their involvement in my daughter, Christy Lee Giles Cilliers and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola cases! However Pearce has been charged with 4 counts of sexual assault on other women, who bravely came forward. He is being held on 3 million dollars bail at this time- Unfortunately Ansbach and Osborn are walking FREE! Please help us pray for the LA District Attorney’s Office to do the right thing and FIGHT for Justice for Christy and Marcela. Let a jury of these mens peers hear the case the police have put together, and make a decision if these men are guilty or not!! Also the police are still tirelessly working on our daughter’s behalf- and remain focused!! Legally, procedurally, the mother's statement about what the LA DA's position is does not make a lot of sense to me. Likewise the news story below is kind of confusing, and it seems to be the most up to date info on the case on the web. Was Pearce accused of rapes in the past, or is he CURRENTLY being charged with *other* rapes (maybe other women have come forward to file complaints since this news about Giles broke?). Ansbach and Osborn are not "charged," but they have posted bond and are out of jail on bond? If you aren't being charged, why do you have to pay a bond to get out of jail? It's nutty sounding. (There are strict time limits on how long the cops can hold you in jail without charging you with a crime.) It's hard for me to believe that the cops would have so quickly determined that these boys didn't do anything wrong here. At a minimum, there are issues involved with abandoning someone who was on the verge of death on the sidewalk in front of a hospital: you MIGHT NOT have a legal duty to try to save the life of a woman who was dying from taking her own drugs, but IF you undertake to secure aid (i.e. start driving them to the hospital), you surely have a legal obligation to carry it out and get them treatment, rather than just dumping them unconscious on the sidewalk near the building...I understand that Mother Giles is certainly not the greatest source for info about what is going on here, but I really don't think she's super clear about what is going on in the case right now.

At a birthday dinner at Sur (of all places) Jeff was also there and was clearly connected with Brandt Osborn, talking quietly and texting while a few feet away. I knew that Jeff didn't waste time on guys who he wasn't blowing, so I assume prison won't be the first time Brandt engages in mansex

^^"Pearce, 39, has been charged with “two counts of forcible rape and one count each of rape of an unconscious or asleep person and sexual penetration by a foreign object,” according to a statement released by the District Attorney’s office."
So it appears Pearce is charged with rape of both of them (while they were unconscious), and the other two guys are likely in trouble for helping dispose of the bodies. Just like in the Comunale case in New York in 2016...

The Scorpions dude: yeah, I remember, the dude who used fake IDs for underage girls he must have been statutory raping at the time

I stumpled upon her when reading comments about the Christy/Hilda case on Facebook. She constantly contradicts herself (like when she calls David Peace a creep for being into porn despite her own alleged friendship/working relationship with Ron Jeremy, or calls Jeremy himself a creep), but it's a trainwreck of epic proportions.

Un-PC opinion, but I think I'm beginning to understand how David Pearce could get away with his crimes for so long. He probably knew how to pick his victims. That website that lists his alleged wrongoings (thedirty.com) is obviously aimed at the trashiest of people, and if Kali Nolen is anything to go by, well … It seems he went for the pathologically needy, attention-hungry, desperate, unstable and frankly, intellectually challenged - women who either wouldn't go to the police, or if they did, wouldn't be believed because they're walking poster children for mental illness and incapable of telling a story in a coherent fashion.
Christy Giles however was different. I don't know anything about Hilda, but having followed Christy on social media for a while, she seemed a bit full herself and annoyingly woke, but reasonably intelligent and well-adjusted. I do believe she would NOT normally get involved with someone like David Pearce, which makes this whole thing even more confusing.

Because even if she were getting legitimate modeling jobs, it’s not possible to support yourself that way, especially the kind of traveling and shit she was doing.
I had a theory that they were working in tandem because it was “safer”. Or that Hilda was leading a double life, where she was somewhat respectable in her regular life and dabbling with some lesbian and drug escapades at night. I know that women pose provocatively together for IG photos and SM, but Christy was pinging off the charts for me.

Not sure about Hilda, but Christy Giles? Absolutely. I mean, 90% of her IG is her posing half naked with a "come hither" look. It's also telling that someone made her twitter private after her death - I guess they don't want people to see the full frontal nudes ("tastefully" done, but still...), exchanges with people that flat out accused her of fucking guys in exchange for gifts, or tweets about her porn star ex roommate.
And there's another thing - when I first checked out her instagram circa a year ago, she had a link to a modeling agency in her bio. A few months ago (before her death) I looked at her page again and noticed it had disappeared. I wonder if she was fired by her agency, or her contract had run out. She also sounded depressed in her last few tweets.
Oh, and then there was that chick on TikTok, allegedly a friend of Christy's, who claimed she "associated with very wealthy, powerful men", or something like that.
So yeah ... I'd be surprised if there wasn't some kind of escorting going on. However, somehow I doubt that these girls were the kind of escorts who'd spontaneously go home with a guy (or a group of guys) they'd just met at a party, especially if said guys seemed like weird, obnoxious wannabe losers ... which is how the 3rd friend described David Pearce and his entourage. But who knows ... maybe they really were desperate, too high to see the red flags, or, as you said, thought it would be save working as a tandem.

One thing that seems important to me is the time Christ Giles' body was dumped at the hospital - around 5 p.m on november 13. Sunset that day was at 4:49 in LA (I looked it up). Does that mean it would already have been dark at 5 p.m.? Wouldn't there have been a long period of dawn/dusk?
If they did NOT wait until after dark to drop her off, I think that would lend *some* credibility to the men's claims that they tried to save her. Obviously, they still would have wasted a lot of time removing the license plates from the car etc. It also doesn't explain why Hilda wound up at a different hospital 2 hours later. Still, I think it's worth looking at.
It was easily solved.
Almost too easily. Not only did the husband find out who did it within 24 hours of his wife's death, and not only was the main perp known for drugging and raping women; one of the accomplices even confessed to a collegue (not the murder/drugging, but disposing of the bodies).
Somehow I feel like it all went too smoothly ...

Reminds me of Carol Wayne and Lana Clarkson. Had brief careers, both careers fizzled and they took to hanging out in clubs and going home with and on vacations with guys they just met. They don’t call it escorting. They call it “being models” and “former starlets.”

Yah, because these guys are obviously criminal masterminds who live in a grimy apartment and pick up unsuspecting women (who are looking to use them for drugs & money) in order to carry out some brilliant murder plot someone like Christy’s genius husband paid for
by Anonymous | reply 543 | January 13, 2022 8:41 PM |
David Pearce is bisexual and once had a fling with Andy Dick, his former fiancee claims.
by Anonymous | reply 544 | January 14, 2022 9:24 AM |
Lol, R543, I already admitted that I probably just read too many murder mystery stories where you have half a dozen plot twists, and the real murderer always follows some complicated, elaborate plan. Obviously real-life crime is different. And there's no way Christy's husband (or anyone else) could have planned this.
I just can't wrap my head around the part where one of the perps told a collegue how they disposed of the bodies, or, as one article described it, BRAGGED about it. I can only guess that's what decades of heavy drug use + hanging around people with absolutely no moral compass will do to your brain.

On a sidenote, it annoys me that the comment section of EVERY SINGLE Daily Mail article about this case has been "moderated in advance" lately, with less than 10 comments going through.
The DM often moderates comments on sensitive topics, but they're rarely that consistent. Usually they will moderate one article about a certain topic, but not the next one and so on. Or they do moderate, but let a few hundred comments go through, not just a handful (see the somewhat similar case of Lauren Smith-Fields).
I want more comments on this case. They're usally more interesting than the official updates. In between the victim shaming/complaints about victim shaming, you'll sometimes stumble upon interesting bits of information from people who knew the victims or (alleged) perps.

Are you sure about Carol Wayne, wasn't she married to a very wealthy man, TV producer, Burt Sugarman?
Carol died a mysterious death, from drowning, she was afraid of the water. During one of her many appearances on Johnny Carson's talk show, she mentioned her fear of water and swimming. Carol was 42 when she died.
Carol did go on vacation with his guy, then died: "In January 1985, Wayne and companion, car salesman, Edward Durston were vacationing at the Las Hadas Resort in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico. After they had an argument, Wayne reportedly took a walk on the beach. Three days later, a local fisherman found Wayne's body in the shallow bay. An autopsy performed in Mexico revealed no signs of alcohol or other drugs in her body. Her death was ruled "accidental." "

R549. Carol was really at the end of her career. She had posed for Playboy and had no job prospects. Edward Durston is a strange guy. I can't remember , but he was also involved with another "accidental." death. Anyone remember this?

by Anonymous | reply 551 | March 17, 2022 7:00 PM |
I don't think so, R551. No real updates since December. This case intrigues me for a number of reasons, so I find the lack of news pretty frustrating. From what I'm aware, it hasn't even been confirmed that the girls really died of heroin overdoses, or if they were raped. All we have is the family's version of events (forced heroin injection! sexual abuse! snuff porn!), and a statement by LAPD that 'the investigation is very much still ongoing'. David Pearce was arrested, but apparently he has NOT yet been charged in this case (he was charged with having raped four other women though).

I think the third girl who was at the warehouse party is lying or holding something back. Firstly, her story makes no sense to me. David Pearce et al. acted 'crazed' and obnoxious, got kicked out of the VIP area of the club because they'd lied about knowing one of the performers, yet Christy and Hilda got into their car, naively expecting to get chauffeured to some fancy afterparty? Not buying it. Christy Giles had lived in LA for years, modeled for a decade, and had probably encountered her fair share of poseurs and predators during those years. I mean, obviously they DID get in the car, but either the men weren't as in-your-face off-putting as the friend claims they were, or there's something missing from the story. Secondly, the friend only came forward (anonymously) after almost 3 weeks. The girls were found dead/almost dead on November 13; by the 17th the story was all over the news, but the Daily Mail article with the friend's account wasn't published until December 3. What took her so long?
I'm thinking she witnessed something at that warehouse party that the girls' familes don't want the public to know about.

Some girl on TikTok claimed Hilda had been on a few dates with David Pearce. At first I didn't take it seriously, because I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere else, and Christy Giles' husband was adamant she/her friends would never hang out with someone like Pearce.
But now I'm thinking.... maybe there's a grain of truth to what she said. I still don't believe Hilda DATED Pearce, but maybe she (or Christy) had met him before.

R559, honestly, I have no idea, I just feel like something doesn't add up.
The only scenario I can think of is that (as mentioned in R560) one of the girls could have met Pearce before/run in the same circles as him, and the family doesn't want that to come out because of his awful reputation. But this is really pure speculation ....
by Anonymous | reply 562 | March 18, 2022 2:11 AM |
R561, so the 3rd friend's story makes perfect sense to you? You really think those two women were THAT naive?

R563 I think when you're young, drunk and high, you can make stupid decisions. I know I did. When you make stupid decisions in the presence of a predator like Dave Pearce, things can go really bad.

Granted, R 564. Hoever, those men didn't just 'give off a bad vibe' (according to the friend). They were also kicked out of the VIP area where Christy and Hilda were partying. How did those two groups end up together?
by Anonymous | reply 566 | March 18, 2022 2:21 AM |
R566 who knows? Maybe an offer of good drugs. Maybe they turned on the charm. We do know that the girls eventually got creeped out and called an Uber. The car came and they never showed.
by Anonymous | reply 567 | March 18, 2022 2:23 AM |
R567, yes, it seems likely they offered them drugs. I'm just wondering how they crossed paths again after Pearce' and his friends got kicked out of the VIP area. Had they exchanged numbers, or did the men lurk at the exit waiting for the girls to come out
In any case, high or not, I'm NOT buying that the girls believed those sketchy dudes would take them to a glamourous afterparty, which seems to be the official version of events.
by Anonymous | reply 568 | March 18, 2022 2:55 AM |
R556, Not sure about Hilda, but Christy was found without visible injuries from what I remember. And if they'd really been raped, I think it would have been reported.
I'm guessing the men planned on having their way with the girls while they were unconscious, but freaked out when they realized Christy was dead/dying, and just wanted to get rid of them. The 'snuff porn' theory is obviously bullshit. It's clear as day they didn't plan on killing the girls.
This is gonna sound awful, but if they'd been raped, it would make this case much easier to solve. Without any signs of violence or sexual abuse, I imagine it will be extremely hard to prove that whatever killed the girls was forced on them against their will/given to them without their knowledge.

Whatever is handy I suppose
Pearce was charged Friday, however, in connection with four other crimes. He stands accused of sexually assaulting a woman in 2010 and had allegedly "raped a woman in February 2019 and two other women in separate incidents last year," DA Gascón's office said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE Friday.

R572, unfortunately I can't access that site (I'm not in the US). Could someone give a short summary? Did they both die of heroin overdoses?
by Anonymous | reply 575 | April 4, 2022 2:16 AM |
Giles’ cause of death was listed as “multiple drug intoxication,” according to reports by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office obtained by People. She had a fatal mix of cocaine, fentanyl, ketamine and gamma-hydroxybutyrate acid (GHB) — often referred to as the “date rape drug” — in her system when she died.
Cabrales-Arzola died from multiple organ failure and “multiple drug intoxication,” according to the report. She tested positive for cocaine and MDMA and other drugs that were undetermined.
r272's story doesn't specify heroin
by Anonymous | reply 576 | April 4, 2022 2:24 AM |
It's odd that heroin isn't even mentioned in the toxicology results. Both Christy's husband and mother said heroin was found in Hilda's system. Was it one of the "undetermined drugs"? With all the attention this case got, especially the speculation about "forcible heroin injection", you'd think it would be confirmed if one or both of the girls had heroin in her system.
At 4:19 p.m., cameras recorded Pearce carrying Giles downstairs to where his black Toyota Prius was parked with its license plates removed.
an hour later, video showed Pearce carrying a “partially clad” Cabrales down the stairs
The doctor who performed Giles and Cabrales’ autopsies noted no sexual or physical trauma, but nurses who treated Cabrales in the hospital noted slight bleeding and a small abrasion in her vagina.

Hilda was in a coma for more than a week. By the time the autopsy was performed, the small abrasion in her vagina had probably healed (or don't wounds heal normally in comatose/braindead patients? Serious question).

Update. Brian Pearce has been charged with Christy's and Hilda's murders.
Tbh I'm surprised. I would've expected manslaughter or negligient homicide charges, but MURDER? Are they supposd to have died from the (fentanyl-laced?) cocaine that Pearce was seen giving them while they were still at the warehouse party (see article)? Do they think he knew it contained a deadly amount of fentanyl? Or maybe there really are recordings from inside the apartment that show what happened ... I hope more details will be released.
by Anonymous | reply 586 | July 3, 2022 2:36 AM |
R586, yeah, I don’t get the murder charge. I mean, we’re they intending to kill Christy specifically? Was there intent and motive?
I’d guess they feel confident they can meet the burden, but I’m skeptical. Isn't there a lesser charge, like manslaughter with depraved indifference or something?
by Anonymous | reply 587 | July 3, 2022 3:08 AM |
If you lace something - drinks, cocaine etc - with fentanyl and give it to someone who thinks they are ingesting something else - it IS murder. Are you retarded? These fuckers are murderers alright.

by Anonymous | reply 589 | July 3, 2022 3:47 AM |
What makes you think David Pearce himself laced the coke (or whatever it was) with fentanyl, retard at R588? Do you know how many people unknowingly buy fentanyl-laced drugs? Do you know how many people accidentally overdose on that shit and get dumped at hospitals by drug buddies/random people they'd been partying with? I suggest you start reading the news.
I don't see how Pearce can possibly be convicted of MURDER, unless there's proof that 1. the girls died of drugs given to them by Pearce, and that he 2. KNEW those drugs contained fentanyl, or lethal amounts of another drug.
by Anonymous | reply 590 | July 3, 2022 11:27 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 591 | July 3, 2022 11:38 PM |
Sorry, I don’t think those men set out to kill those two particular women, and planned it. It was a stupid accident. The fact that they were dumped outside of hospitals is reasonable doubt, as well. If I were on a jury, I wouldn’t convict on murder. Some degree of manslaughter, sure.
I don’t see evidence of murder. Murder is a high bar to clear.
by Anonymous | reply 592 | July 4, 2022 1:02 PM |
It could be a case of date rape drugging gone wrong, R592. Christy Giles had GHB in her system, which is frequently used for that purpose (but also as a party drug). However, I agree that it really doesn't sound like murder. Unless there's something major that hasn't been made public yet, Pearce SHOULD be found not guilty imo, regardless of his history.
Right now it probably feels like a victory to the families, but they might end up regretting that they pushed so hard for murder charges. Apart from the fact that it would be much simpler to get Pearce convicted of a "lesser" charge, his defense team will now make sure to dig up every little piece of dirt there is on these girls. It won't be pretty.
by Anonymous | reply 593 | July 4, 2022 7:53 PM |
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm not that familiar with the American justice system. If the jurors don't see enough evidence to convict him of murder, can they just decide to "downgrade" the offense to manslaughter, and convict him of that instead? Or can they only decide between "guilty of murder" and "not guilty"?
by Anonymous | reply 594 | July 4, 2022 8:00 PM |
There's no such thing as a simple "murder" charge under any state law. In California, for instance, you can be charged with second-degree murder if you do something dangerous and fucked-up (speaking technically here, of course) and someone dies, even though you had no specific intent to kill. The classic example is firing a gun into a crowd of people: there's no premeditation, and no intent to kill anyone specifically, but you've deliberately done something that would seriously endanger someone. In this case, giving a drug to someone could be seen as the equivalent dangerous act. That is probably the theory the prosecution will go for.
R594, the defendant has to have notice of all of the potential charges against him, so the jurors cannot ad lib a charge. Prosecutors usually include lesser charges along with a murder charge.
by Anonymous | reply 595 | July 4, 2022 8:13 PM |
Thanks, R595!
In this case, giving a drug to someone could be seen as the equivalent dangerous act. That is probably the theory the prosecution will go for.
That makes sense. I have to admit though that on an emotional level, I don't find offering a drug to an adult person comparable to firing into a crowd with a gun. As tragic as it is that two young women lost their lives, it doesn't sound like the drugs were forced on them, and I don't think they should be resolved of all responsibility for their choices. I also can't help but wonder if murder charges had been filed if the alleged victims were male, POC, or not-so-pretty women of any race ...
Anyone, could someone start a part 2? Or should we use one of the existing threads ("NCIS Actor Arrested in Deaths of Insta Model and Her Friend Found Dumped in Los Angeles" or "Model Christy Giles Found Dead at 24")? Sorry I can't subscribe atm for lack of a credit card.
