Same here, OP. Love them. I love the whole casual preppy look. My last neighbor was a 35 yo black man who regularly wore that kind of look, plaid shorts, polo shirt and boat shoes. He was so hot.

The last time I wore boat shoes, in about 1987, Mari Howell (why was I going somewhere at night with Mari Howell?) told me that they were out-of-fashion. She seemed embarrassed to be seen with someone wearing them. I don't think I ever wore them again, because I trusted her judgment.

I broke my ankle and it will never be the same wearing boat shoes on a wet street. They look cool but remember your ankles. You're going to be needing them.
