Which actor got hit harder with the ugly stick, Will Poulter or Barry Keoghan?

I think Barry Keoghan is cute, just very Irish looking. Some of us have a weird mix of freckles and Scandinavian looking features that are almost Asian.

Keoghan has no father listed in his Wiki entry and was largely raised in foster homes and then by his maternal grandmother, R1. I am betting on mixed race, with probable Asian or partial Asian ancestry on paternal side. I'm mixed race, Native and white, which means Asian ancestry ultimately, that's a standard look.

Both are cute in a rugby player who ran into a wall kind of way.

Barry Keoghan looks Russian.

I don’t think he’s mixed, that’s a very Irish look. Take this with fifty grains of salt, but I did one of those ancestry DNA tests and it traced my Irish-on-both-side genes way back to a haplogroup related to the Sámi people around Russia/Finland. They have that look too—the Renee Zellweger eyes and cheeks. If you go to Ireland you see it all over the place.

The Sami are Asian in origin. The ancestors of Native people are largely (not exclusively), and especially North American tribes, descended from Siberian people. So yeah, maybe, R2. But it appears his father is not revealed or known.

I agree. I'm a mix of white and native, as well, and especially as a child I would have Asian people coming up and speaking to me in their language because they thought I was one of them. As I've aged those genes seem to have receded, but I do still get comments if I get really tanned.

I guessed I’m not alone in thinking Barry looks Russian or eastern European. He was actually cast in Chernobyl because he looks the part.

They’re both really cute in their own way.

My ancestry can all be traced back to western and northern Europe, but I was surprised to find that what I thought was Scandinavian ancestry was actually more Sami.

So it's probably true that more Europeans than you think have Sami ancestry.

I think Poulter is hot and the other guy has a very unique appeal. I agree with Adam Driver being revolting, though.

That’s actually a pretty good picture of Will Poulter in OP’s post, whereas that picture of Barry Keoghan makes him look like the dueling banjos boy from Deliverance.
