Best of all is Jeremy Fernandez who is sadly straight but apparently very very nice. He also has the sexiest and best voice on TV. He is so nice to listen to and easy on the eyes too.

Half the people working in the Australian Film/TV industry are gay and nobody gives a flying fuck. I received the Blu Ray release of Celia (1989) the Anne Turner film set in the 1950s. I always find it amusing that the actors that portray the little girls parents (Nicolas Eadie & the late Victoria Longley) are gay and neither of them ping at all - they are totally convincing as a heterosexual married couple in the film.

Nate has some stiff competition at the ABC and I think that's great. The ABC will hire very obviously gay men in authoritative on-air roles (journo, newsreader etc) when the commercial TV networks absolutely will not. On Seven and Nine very obvious gays are only allowed to be clowns or gossip reporters.

I've seen a couple of ABC reporters in wheelchairs.

You wont see that on the mainstream ones.

R8 - In the late 80's there was a production of 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' in Melbourne with Nick Eadie and Victoria Longley in the lead roles of Brick and Maggie. It was a good production but had an extra edge for those of us who knew both were gay.

R13 I'm so jealous. I would have loved to have seen that. I saw Nicolas Eadie in something in the 1990s and he was very good.

It was so sad when Victoria Longley passed away of cancer - she was so young and talented.

The only heterosexual male reporters on News 24 are in chairs.
