Best Fictional Character Name?

The thread on The Office reminded me how much I love the name “Robert California” for that (otherwise useless) character. What’s your favorite naming choice from a tv show, film, play, book, etc?

by Anonymousreply 600November 16, 2021 3:15 PM

Useless character? He spoke of bacchanals with cases of Italian reds and Bolivian whites. He is legend

I thought, "Dr. Temperance Brennan" sounded pretentious at first but since the character was both beautiful and (based on an actual person who was autistic while they didn't clarify that at first on the show) it somehow fit perfectly.

There was a character in the original Dark Shadows named "Aristede." I thought that was a unique and memorable name. Maybe it was the purple eyeshadow and black eyeliner they'd use on him .. lol

The actor, Michael Stroka, played two other roles on the show, "Bruno Hess" and "Laszlo Ferrari." Those were good names too.
