An anti-masker declines to leave church, so his fellow Catholics help him on his way.
I love it!

I can't believe that psycho tried to confront the priest. The other parishioners carried him out of there like the dumb animal he is.

When did Catholics become the sensible religion? When I was a kid, they were the loons, now they’re practically pragmatists.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 27, 2021 1:51 AM |
Yeah, threatening the priest was probably not the smartest idea this twat ever had.
Actually, I take that back, it probably is par for the course.

This guy may not have *just* been an antimasker. He could've also been a local loon who had been previously told to no longer set foot on Church property.
My sister had a paranoid schizophrenic BIL, who during one of his active phases began showing up at the Catholic Church in his neighborhood all the time, including at services. The pastor and congregation initially showed compassion to him and tried to help him. However, his paranoia soon flared, and he became violent and started threatening them. At that point the pastor reached out to the BIL's family, who let the priest know that they were terrified of him and couldn't control him. The Church had to get a restraining order taken out against him. If he'd shown up at a service after being told to stay away, that priest and congregation would've reacted the same way the ones in this video did. (Fortunately for everyone, the BIL died of a heart attack not long afterward.)

Not sure what's going on in the video, whether it's solely an anti-masker or not, but FWIW there's a sub-set of Catholics who believe the Covid, vaccines and masking are a sign on the End Time with the Great Rapture soon to follow. They also believe Pope Francis is in cahoots with the Anti-Christ and/or Satan which is why he is pro-vaccine. Given all of that, they further believe the Church as it is now is the "true" Church and they have to fight to bring it down.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 27, 2021 5:31 AM |

R13 has it. It’s not a mask issue. Blue Shirt is a mite nuts.
[quote]It appears that this incident may have nothing at all to do with mask mandates.
[quote] According to documents filed with the Superior Court of Pierce County, Washington, a petition for a Sexual Assault Protection Order was filed against Fr. Brunet by a man on September 27, 2021, who wrote that the reason for the order was that, “My son will be sexually abused.”
[quote] The petition was rejected the same day by Pierce County Superior Court Commissioner Karen Watson because “The sexual assault protection order petition does not list a specific incident and approximate date of nonconsensual sexual contact” and “preponderance of the evidence has not established that there has been nonconsensual sexual contact.”
[quote] According to the petition filed by the man, he believed that Fr. Brunet “is unstabe [sic] after I confronted him at the Parish office on September 23rd 2021. He could potentially commit a murder suicide. Because he could or will be thrown out of the church.”
[quote] In the section of the form where he was asked to describe the respondent’s nonconsensual sexual conduct, it says that on one occasion in April, “During mass when priest (Paul) was at stations of the cross he kept batting his eyes at me.” He also describes “Previous dates throughout 2021 and previous years the priest would specifically pick me out to look into my eyes at the altar then look away suddenly. During Mass.”

It sounded like the guy said, "I'm not trespassing!" He said it in a very low, creepy tone, like the way that albino stalker in The Bodyguard would say "NOOOOOO."

Jesus was ready to get down and whoop his ass.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 27, 2021 9:29 PM |
It wasn't PRIMARILY about him not wearing a mask. However, the batshit insane stalker who was threatening the priest (and scaring the children off to the left) was unmasked and the only person in the place to not be wearing one, aside from the priest, who probably had to remove his while he spoke. Is anyone shocked that some wacko who would go after a priest also refuses to wear a mask? Of course you aren't. We would be remarking on and shocked if the guy had done this with a mask on, be honest.
We all know what the any-maskers and anti-vaxxers are capable of by now.

[quote] Franciscan priest Fr. Casey Cole lamented that violence took place in a church during Mass. He tweeted, “Everything about this is so sad. I don’t know what started the initial confrontation, but I have to think that there were ways this could have been diffused peacefully.”
Father Cole does not condone the behavior of the menfolk. Father Cole also should have said "defused."

It had NOTHING to do with masks. The church (and school) had a "No Trespassing" order in place against this lunatic since October 17th. He violated it. Period.

by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 27, 2021 11:09 PM |
There may be some Catholics who believe that rapture shit, but it is overwhelmingly Evangelical Protestants who do. The fact that it was entirely made up in the late 19th century doesn't phase them, but the fact that it has never been part of Catholic tradition would be a problem for most Catholics.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 27, 2021 11:11 PM |
The Rapture enthusiasts should all just off themselves. They're such losers. They're just miserable people who are hoping to die, hoping everyone around them dies, and they can be rewarded for hoping these things. Loony, selfish fucktards.

Catholics, Black Christians and white fundamentalist Protestants share one thing: They will beat your ass if necessary.
That's why I think they all have a true religion. Not like those Episcopalians.

This reminds me of that video of that chubby girl pushing a priest off the stage because he kept talking shit about fat people only not as hilarious.
R19 R34 I imagine if they were there it would've been a reenactment of the scene in Child's Play 2 where Chucky beats Andy's teacher to death with a yardstick. I would've paid to see that especially if 3 of the nuns looked like Whoopi Goldberg, Kathy Najimy and Bonnie Aarons.

I went to Catholic school even though I'm not Catholic. Catholicism has a real romantic appeal, but make no mistake about what the church is about. Anti-gay, anti-abortion. Also, large-scale enabling and covering-up of pedophiles in high-ranking positions.
