This hasn't been confirmed yet, but LE has found items identified as belonging to Brian, and cadaver dogs are now on the scene. Partial human remains have been found. The hunt for Brian Laundrie is almost over.
He's fine and sends his love.

Asked if Brian Laundrie had been found dead, his family lawyer told @ShannonCwtsp "No comment." A medical examiner was previously dispatched to the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park. We are working to gather more information.

by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 20, 2021 8:04 PM |
I agree, R17. I posted on the other thread that it seems suspicious that the belongings were found by the parents a day after the park reopened after being shut down for the past month - presumably to conduct a thorough search of the property.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 20, 2021 8:06 PM |
The parents are guilty as hell. I bet they put him on a boat to South America.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 20, 2021 8:07 PM |
They watched YOU this weekend and got the idea to cut off a body pair to use as remains. Once he’s declared legally dead, he’ll show up in another country with a prosthetic.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 20, 2021 8:10 PM |
They wouldn't be calling in the cadaver dogs nor more importantly the medical examiner if there weren't significant evidence in the site. I'm thinking BL died of exposure. As high as opinion of himself as a survivalist that BL had, he grossly overestimated. The FBI likely will go after BL's parents now.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 20, 2021 8:22 PM |
R19, One theory is that Brian's body was dragged into the water and partially buried in the mud by a gator/croc or a python snake. It wasn't until the water receded and the hungry beast ate most of him that the leftovers were found. Supposedly his backpack was nearby.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 20, 2021 8:28 PM |
i read that the cops found quite a few bodies (from other missing cases) while on this case...
silver lining...
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 20, 2021 8:30 PM |
One of Brian's voices probably told him he was Bear Grylls for a few days, but after six days in the swamp with no Gabby or Mommy to take care of him, he used his burner phone to call home, sobbing: "I can't do this alone!".
His petulant whines alerted local wildlife that fresh moocher was on the menu.
Such is The Circle of Life!

Laundrie parents - 30 minute search: camp site discovered, back pack discovered, body discovered. And they didn’t know where he was?! Got it.

by Anonymous | reply 76 | October 20, 2021 10:04 PM |
I thought he was dead early on, but got brainwashed into thinking that maybe he's alive.
I grew up in a very authoritarian household. I feel that it has hurt me in a lot of ways. But I would never try to pull this kind of shit, hiding out, driving home after I killed someone, etc. I'd be too scared that my parents would kick my ass.
His parents may very well be POS people, but it's understandable that they didn't give up his location to the police. Basically, random people had torches and pitchforks.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | October 20, 2021 10:06 PM |
Crap. The FBI isn't confirming anything today about the corpse bits' identity, per their presser. They want the medical examiner to make absolutely sure it's BL. Don't put All your bones in one basket quite yet. But here's something to Tide you over: Brian left a notebook behind. It'll fill everyone with Cheer if he scribbled a confession before he croaked (croc'ed?). But there's nothing to Gain by assuming the remains are anyone but BL's. When the ME finally confirms it, though, it'll be pretty Fabuloso!

Part of me in kind of glad he's dead. The 2022 prison pageant circuit, just got some competition out of the way for Our Chris. On the other hand, I would have liked to see him go against Brian in the strangling talent competition, and swimwear. Oh well, Im sure another will come along soon enough.

From Brian Entin, reporter:
NEW: Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino says Chris and Roberta and 2 officers were spread out on either side of the trail. He says Chris found a bag containing some of Brian's items -- and officers found the backpack on the other side of trail which was near the remains.

by Anonymous | reply 176 | October 21, 2021 2:18 AM |
R174 What's fishy about it? It's well known that the parents assisted LE by telling and indicating to them where their son frequented the reserve. LE found the evidence, not the parents, and it was found in an area that was previously under water. It was afterwards that they called the parents to come and confirm the items of clothing.
by Anonymous | reply 177 | October 21, 2021 2:25 AM |
Maybe it was a place the parents knew that he had hiked before. I told my parents all kinds of things. Parents know what foods you like, who your friends are, the normal places you go, etc.

I’ve not been following any of these threads and not sure if anyone else has said it; but my guess is that the poor girl was a massive, whiny, needy pain in the fucking ass. She seemed to come across as such. He snapped and strangled her then told his parents he wanted to go into the wild to make his peace and off himself. The poor girl didn’t deserve it, but given the news about her hitting him and being moody and the fact strangulation is often a crime of passion, I’d bet my dog that he just snapped after she just wouldn’t let up on one of her nag attacks.

R186/R187 I clicked on one the twitter links and there's a video clip of an LE agent/spokesperson saying specifically "investigators found what appears to be human remains..." In the link there's also some debate as to who found what and when.
And, I just watched another news clip and both the parents and LE found items at the same time but LE also found remains. According to the news clip, this occurred while they were at the same location and at the same time.
I think you two have a problem here, not me.
I don't think the parents planted evidence. They heard the reserve was back open, and they wanted to continue their own search, so they notified LE exactly what time they would be there, were met by them before they proceeded, and were subsequently with LE when everything went down. The particular area they were in had been under water not too long ago. There was no way the Laundries could've have been there beforehand without being noticed.

A different theory and it kind of puts some of the pieces together:
- Brian comes home w/out Gabby & w/van
- Parents question him and at some point he admits to killing her, framing it as a murderous rage accident
- Parents think about it and decide he's too stupid to make it on the run, they don't want him to get caught and sent to prison
- they decide to take him out to the nature preserve, where he is known to have hiked
- they kill him and plant some evidence (which is why they found it so quickly)
I don't know, just a theory.
by Anonymous | reply 209 | October 21, 2021 4:59 AM |
R200, Disagree as there's usually a lot of Red Flags that get overlooked. Brian's attempt at artwork and poetry was extremely dark. Reading material and music also nihilistic.
Also he had an extremely unstable work history and was financially dependent on his parents and his GF (her van, her credit cards). Yet he agreed to an extended vacation without a guaranteed income source?
Van dwellers who are making it don't eat out in restaurants on a regular basis. They arrange for cooking facilities, making simple meals, and have portable showers like most survivalist minded outdoors people. Not an easy life.

Writing on submerged paper can usually be read under infrared lighting and/or by using certain lasers. The journal would first be soaked in demineralized water and then freeze-dried. After that, the pages can be separated without further damage.
Even if the writing isn't visible to the naked eye (and in a journal with multiple pages, that wouldn't be the case) properly dried paper will shrink back closely enough to its original formation that lasers can pick up the indentations of writing in the paper.

If they found body parts on land it more than likely was not an alligator that got him. In that area it could be several other animals. Wild hogs, or a puma (the same thing as a mountain lion out west). Many people don't realize Pumas still roam the deep south. A band of wild hogs would tear a dead body up in no time. They are vicious animals. Or it could have been a black bear which still roam the south. There are reportedly over 4000 black bears just in the state of Florida.

After reading the comments from the attorney I get the impression BL went to the park to kill himself, the parents should not have waited to report him missing, by the time they did at least 3 days had passed with heavy rainfalls which flooded the area and obscured his body and any evidence.
According to the attorney he left without his phone or wallet only taking a backpack which was small and not intended to hold bulky camping gear.
The location provided by the parents was close to the entrance which is where the remains were located so BL was not trying to hide by staying near the entrance, if he wanted to hide he would have gone deep into the reserve.

The parents should be arrested for obstruction.
by Anonymous | reply 258 | October 21, 2021 2:45 PM |
I doubt he went home and confessed to his parents that he murdered Gabby. He could have said she broke up with him, she went home to LI, left him alone on the trip, took off with other campers, was joining him later. All they knew for sure was that he came home alone with the van. He could have told them anything to explain. I really doubt he came home and told them he killed her. He’s a weakling, hitting small woman, using others and doing nothing. When they found Gabby’s body had Brian already left on his own? It could have been news to them and also, if they were told Gabby had joined other campers, they may not have suspected their dear son was involved.
I find it hard to believe that helicopter parents like them would knowingly let BL go off into the wilderness to end his life.
by Anonymous | reply 259 | October 21, 2021 2:58 PM |

They have to have known that's what happened, though. The car was abandoned and the gun was missing. They also seemed to know exactly where he was in the park.
It's very odd, the parents said they searched for him when the car was abandoned but when they told the police, they got the date wrong. How do you forget when you went to search for your missing son? They put off reporting him missing. When they went to the reserve the dad went right to where Brian was.
I'm also like r260, I keep remembering him joking around with the officer when he was showing them Brian's favorite spots in the reserve.
Personally I think Brian must have told them some lies, but they realized when Gabby's family started texting that the story he told wasn't the truth. No idea if they ever spoke with him about it or not. However, I do think that when he went hiking and didn't come back, as soon as they saw the gun was missing, they must have realized what happened, and I think they located him at the time and decided to not tell the police.
My theory is that they decided not to tell the police in a misguided attempt to keep their son from being named as Gabby's murderer. I think that they may have also been in denial about what he'd done. At some point they must have decided that enough was enough, but the last time the dad was out there, this area was still underwater. Doesn't explain why he was yukking it up with the cops, though. Very grim.
Once they realized it wasn't underwater anymore, they went out to "search" for Brian and dad walked straight to where he was, just to get it over with.
That's my theory, anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 262 | October 21, 2021 3:14 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 268 | October 21, 2021 3:26 PM |
Based on the aerial footage whatever they found in the open field area was small and could not bee seen easily, so it must have bern small skeletal fragments, in the second tent surrounded by trees is where I think they found the backpack and possibly larger sized remains.
I wonder why they felt comfortable stating it was likely the remains were BL if only small pieces were left. I don’t know if much skin would be left after a month underwater that perhaps still has a tattoo visible for identification.
by Anonymous | reply 269 | October 21, 2021 3:41 PM |
So, we're supposed to believe that Brian Laundrie, a man who had YEARS of camping and hiking experience, just said, "Fuck it, I'm going to the nearest reserve-- even though that's the first place they'll look for me-- and immediately killing myself"? And we're also supposed to believe that parents who own multiple properties in multiple states made no effort to hide this manchild who lived with them on and off for years into his adulthood? Just allowed him to leave their home and off himself?
No. None of this makes sense. Many idiots on Twitter seem to believe that the FBI does not know how to search for things under a few feet of water, and that cadaver dogs would not lead them to a human body in said water, which is hilarious. I don't claim to know exactly what's going on here, but it's a hell of a lot more than, "Brian killed himself a month ago and-- YAY!-- we finally found the body."

I didn't go "hog-wild with speculation," R271. I said there's a lot more going on than meets the eye. If you think this case is over, you are very naive. Even if Brian is dead, do you really think they are going to just let the parents go back to their living their lives with no further investigation? And do the names Kylen Schulte and Crystal Turner ring a bell?

Alexis McGee liked Heckin Chonkasoras @TimyNerdG · I have a lot of questions. If the area was so flooded, you would think the Dry Pack, backpack and remains wouldn’t be so close to each other. Wouldn’t they have floated away? It’s just….NOTHING MAKES SENSE WITH THIS CASE. NOT EVER!

R275 Where did I state that I think that this case is over?
As with any murder/missing/mystery case similar to this making international headlines, there's always much that isn't meeting the eye. LE and all those involved aren't going to divulge everything they know upon every public demand and whim. I take YT and Twitter sleuths with a grain of salt, because most of them are grasping at straws and just pulling shit out of their asses for likes and subscribes.
Do you also believe, in addition to BL being a serial killer, that there's a real estate underground railroad, an international network of complicit family and business partners, and who knows what else surrounding the Laundrie case? That clearly fits the definition of hog-wild.

No, unfortunately not nearly as fun or exciting. The missing Laundry was high stakes and high drama. And the thought of getting to interview with the silver fox himself on CNN was palpitating. Everything else is boring by comparison.

I'm the one who said it was over, r275, not r271.
There's nothing left but cause of death for Brian and maybe a few extraneous details. We know the gist of what happened. It was a domestic violence case that escalated to murder, something Brian thought he could simply outrun, until he realized he would never outrun it, so he offed himself.
The police have already said that this case is not related to the married couple's murder, and there really isn't any way the creepy guy hanging around their campsite could have been Brian, anyway. The parents obviously didn't help Brian escape because he didn't escape, all he did was go to a nearby park and kill himself.
It's done.

Kylen and Crystal were murdered sometime during the two days when Brian Laundrie is completely unaccounted for. No evidence of him being anywhere. The private investigator hired by Kylen's father said just last week that Brian cannot be ruled out, something the local authorities said earlier.

The article linked in R74 is an utter crock. Not a single one of those bodies was discovered during the searches for Petito/Laundrie, and two of them were discovered before Petito was even dead.
People die and their bodies are often discovered; Angel Gabby isn't guiding an army of searcher from beyond the grave, as much as some of the boneheads who follow this story would like to believe that.

Brian was clearly not a smart man, and he very likely believed he could go home and wait until she was found, then try to lie his way out of trouble. With the domestic violence stop on record where the police believed he was the victim, he had an advantage, or so he thought.
Once he got home and thought about it he realized no story would hold up. The cops began to ask questions. He got too nervous and couldn't take it any longer.

"The video shows Chris retrieving this dry bag from bushes. {Not the backpack that was reportedly found in the water with the bones.}
The bag does not have a hole in it. The bag has webbed straps with clips on the end so it can roll up. It’s a waterproof bag used for example in kayaking. Someone had an image of a new one in the store… But since I forget the brand name I can’t find the model.
Why is he (Chris) handling it without gloves?!!!!!
And when Chris found bag why would you not open to see what was in it before taking to authorities. How would he know it was Brian’s if they never looked in it.

[quote]Everyone just assumed he killed her because he’s a man. It’s so misandrist. I think SHE killed HIM and then killed herself. Brian is/was VERY cute. He probably told her he was gay and she murdered him in a blind rage.
WTF? Some of these posts here are completely moronic. Either the posters are total imbeciles, have not read about the case or have reading comprehension problems. Or posts like the one above are feeble attempts at comedy?!
It's pretty obvious this Laundrie dude went HOME after he killed his GF, Gabby did not kill him. He then took the cowards way out and killed himself or he actually managed to escape to Canada or somewhere else, though I think that's highly doubtful, because he doesn't appear to come from wealth or appeared to be very intelligent.
Laundrie's family doesn't seem intelligent enough to pull off that sort of escape scheme.
by Anonymous | reply 319 | October 21, 2021 7:57 PM |
In one of the earlier threads about this we discovered that the people posting moronic theories were the same ones who had turned the murder-suicide in PA threads into a shitshow. They were trying it on other threads too, the family who died on the California trail and the jogger who went missing at least, and early on in the Piedmont Park murder thread. They think it's funny to be irritating.
by Anonymous | reply 320 | October 21, 2021 8:00 PM |
In this day and age, people are going to believe that this is all a hoax and Brian is alive. Even if told otherwise they'll believe that only one finger and two teeth of Brian's were found, and that means he's living on a beach in Pago Pago, having escaped there with his parents' money and using his uncle's boat after murdering 27 people in campgrounds all across the country. I don't think there's anything you can do about that kind of thinking.

There was nothing "hot" or appealing about this man, he was an unemployed basic loser living off his naive GF.
Some straight women (and gay men) have such low self-esteem, they settle for the most basic and boring types of men, not to mention awful manipulative men with anger issues.
by Anonymous | reply 324 | October 21, 2021 8:08 PM |
"Why is he (Chris) handling it without gloves?!!!!!"
This is another reason why I said above that there is more going on here than meets the eye. Since when does the FBI invite the parents of a suspected murderer to come along with them and collect evidence with their bare hands, ultimately making their case harder to prove because there will be a very good argument for throwing that evidence out of court? And allowing the media and every Tom, Dick, and Harry with a cell phone to come along and film this evidence collection while its happening?
But point out the strangeness of all this, and others here accuse you of claiming that Brian is alive and well and living it up in Cuba.

[quote] Since when does the FBI invite the parents of a suspected murderer to come along with them and collect evidence with their bare hands, ultimately making their case harder to prove
What “evidence” does the FBI need? What case are they trying to prove? He’s dead. They’ll easily identify him by DNA. They can’t put his skeleton in prison, y’all.
The FBI fucked with them, that’s what they did. Sent them to where his smelly skeletal remains were decomposing into the mud so they could get a whiff of him and see what he looked like. That’s what his parents got for not cooperating. They got to see what he did to himself and to his poor brainless gf.

I am somewhat surprised to read that his body was already completely skeletal. He's been missing, what, a month now? That seems like fast decomposition. Then again, I suppose it is the south, so there is a lot of humidity and water to speed things along.
I don't know why anyone wants/needs a confession note from him—it's obvious what happened, and the police footage of them on the side of the road tells the whole story, really. He was a young, dumb, rage/testosterone-filled man who was in a dysfunctional and abusive relationship with his girlfriend. They got in a fight, and he strangled her to death. The minutiae of it all (where he killed her, when it happened, what their fight was about) is irrelevant at this point. They are both dead, and there really wasn't any mystery to it in the first place. This kind of tale is as old as time, so it kind of surprised me that it stirred up such a media frenzy.
Based on the body cam footage, I really felt bad for Gabby to be honest—she seemed truly distraught. It could just be because she reminds me a lot of my niece, who is the same age, and resembles her quite a bit. The reality is that these were both young, dumb kids. Sometimes that kind of youthful love burns too hot, and it can influence people to make impulsive, bad decisions—he certainly did. It's sad, but it's not strange.

The Petito family has been publicly nagging the Laundrie family to speak out over an over again since this began. The Petito clan have not missed an opportunity to speak to the media or to call a press conference. Tonight I watched the single You Tube video that Gabby produced charting their journey in their van. Brian seems like a supporting player in the video. ..always in the background while Gabby shoots cute images of herself as the center of the viewer's attention. Maybe the Laundries (including the late Brian) are just quiet natured oddities in our "look at me" social media saturated culture.

R406 to be fair, the Petitos have sought out the media and been nagging the Laundrie family because they're the ones whose family member disappeared, only to subsequently found strangled to death, and her corpse left for wolf chow in a national park. I think most people in their situation would do whatever they could to get some sort of resolution.

This is an unpopular opinion, but I actually think Brian was kind of hot (bald or not). Gabby was very pretty too. They were a nice-looking couple. Unfortunately, that's merely surfaces—there was clearly a lot of dysfunction happening behind the scenes. Young lovers often find themselves in dramatic, emotionally volatile relationships like this, but most make it through without ending up in a body bag. I am sure he was jealous and abusive, and his rage reached a crescendo during their trip that resulted in him killing her. The easier thing to do would be to break up and not have to sacrifice your life over a young, immature relationship, but we are not always so wise in our youth.

Brian and Gabby were living with his parents rent free.
Previously Gabby was living with a different boyfriend and his parents in No Carolina while working as a hostess in a restaurant. She'd applied and was accepted to attend a local community college but changed her mind about attending classes.
Sadly that boyfriend was also physically abusive and friends convinced her to leave. She then reconnected with her old BF Brian who's parents were moving from NY to FL.

R413, Rose Davis has put out a lot of videos starting in early Sept. Many show Gabby and Rose dancing and having fun together. Rose claims to be Gabby's BFF and they met on a dating app for alternative lifestyles. Rose is clearly bisexual.
Rose has stated that the previous year Gabby has stayed at her home 1/2 hour away over 10 times whenever she was fighting with Brian. Rose has also stated that Brian was extremely controlling, taking away her ID when she wanted to go dancing with Rose for a girls' night out.
Some internet sleuths question everything Rose claims as she has a long arrest record and is clearly a drug addict. However Rose was supposed to meet Gabby at the end of August for her birthday yet the van traveler didn't even call or text. How Rose was going to travel to meet Gabby was never explained. Clearly there was tension between Rose and Brian. Others speculate that there was an unusual sexual relationship.

I think this is actually the best outcome for both families. The Petito family has been through enough and dragging this out with the the manhunt and eventual trial would have been hard on them for a few years. There is no guarantee that he would have been found guilty of her murder, they only had the debit card fraud charges.
At least this way they get some closure in that his actions were those of a guilty coward and BL paid the ultimate price and will not be harming anyone else. It really does not matter anymore what fight lead up to her death, we all saw the video and we know she was strangled so it’s obvious he was the cause and he could not deal with the consequences.
For the Laundrie family it’s the end to wondering where their son is and what his future will be like due to the publicity, trial and maybe prison. They may or may not accept he caused her death but they can put two and two together.

American culture programs us to yearn for that special someone that will make us complete, and to prove our worthiness by doing whatever it takes to hang on to them, even if it harms us. This romantic ideal sets us all up to be used, manipulated and worse. Straight women especially are most likely to be murdered by their male partners (or exes.)

Many straight men believe both the females they date (or marry) and their child(ren) are their possessions. The girlfriend or wife is not allowed to decide for herself or make a choice for herself that she doesn't want to be with him and to move on from him, because he "owns" her/them. Or, those guys will try to ruin a woman's reputation or make dating her so difficult that any new man will call it quits, so she'll seem like "damaged goods".
"If I can't have her, NO ONE can."
Most straight men are horrible. I'm always surprised there aren't a higher number of lesbians.

I think BL committed suicide with the missing gun from the mustang. This would explain why partial skull fragments were found. Now I fully understand that the gators and boars also had bite but the gun was the initial cause of death.

Being single ain't so bad. It's stories like this and many others that I feel fortunate not getting into those positions. I remember my uncle asking me in my twenties..."So, when are you going to get married?" I replied..."Maybe never." He was taken aback by that, but even in my twenties...I felt, deep down, that marriage wasn't something that I wanted. I've had relationships that were ok...two that were sort of long term (3 or so years apiece). Most were jerks, and I wasn't great myself, as far as relationships. There was no physical abuse, but emotional. I'm glad I got that out of my system. Now...very content in being solo.

Well, "skeletal remains" doesn't mean there was no flesh left at all, just that the body in many areas had been skeletonized. If he shot or hanged himself they'll probably be able to tell. If there are gator nibbles on his bones then a forensic anthropologist might be able to tell if it was post-death munchies or a pre-death attack. Otherwise, I'm not sure they'll ever know how he died.

Defending the pro-dogs.
Still too many plot holes in this script. Please address the following: 1) Why weren't the K-9 trained sniffers able to detect the gator/wild pig leftovers? Submerged in water would not destroy the strong scent of decaying Brian's bits.
2)) If Brian offed himself or was killed on Sept 13/14 why would his backpack and other found possessions not look like they'd been in the Swamp water for over a month?
3) Isn't it a bit coincidental that the one day Roberta Laundrie goes to the Swamp she immediately finds what teams of LE have been searching for during the last 5 weeks? According to attorney Mr. B it was the Laundries asked to visit the Swamp with LE, and definitely not the other way around.
4) Also odd that it was the night after the Laundrie's spent the day shopping at Walmart and then visiting Fed Ex (see the Daily Fail article) to ship a package saying food rations.
by Anonymous | reply 461 | October 22, 2021 9:57 PM |
I went to visit my mother in Central FL for the first time. We turn a corner and all of a sudden there’s just black everywhere. EVERYWHERE. wtf? Vultures. They shot out of a tree when they saw the car. More vultures were in other trees, some were on the ground pulling at something. I said “Stop the car! We need to see if it’s a dead body.” My sister said “YOU go.”
So I looked and I saw a small rib cage that was definitely not human. When I told my mother about it she said, “Oh it’s a wild pig. The rednecks love to hunt and shoot them. They cut up the pig and leave the bones behind for the birds.”
I’d never seen so many vultures before. I figure vultures could eat up a man in a week.

I'm glad he offed himself.
I've always been pissed to read about Ted Bundy having a girlfriend while in jail with conjugal visits - he had a child while awaiting execution! And Joran van der Sloot has a girlfriend down there in Venezuela or wherever it was he murdered his second victim at the casino. Scott Peterson and Chris Whatsisname getting fan mail and love letters...
They don't deserve the semi-decent lives they have in prison - though I don't feel right about advocating torture, but still... part of me wants them to pay and I don't think prison is enough, considering what they did. Or any murderers, really, but they were so infamous and we know so much about their brutal crimes.

That letter in the video is what I thought all along. The relationship was tumultuous...we've seen the evidence in the video released by the police when they were pulled over. Probably in one of their fights, he lost control and strangled her...in the heat of the moment. In spite of what his parents did...which is heinous, two young people are dead. That trip should never have happened. They were too immature.

I think the notebook is a setup by the parents so that they can make their son look sympathetic in the public eye. Weren't they the ones who found him by finding his stuff?
by Anonymous | reply 537 | October 23, 2021 9:33 PM |
IIRC from earlier news clips, the parents found the white (sack?) with the items inside, and LE found the remains and additional items. Both happened within minutes of each other, and, the Laundries were in close proximity to LE the whole time they were there. They would've had to have come there and placed things surreptitiously well beforehand, which, I think, is an extremely unlikely possibility.
by Anonymous | reply 538 | October 23, 2021 9:59 PM |
"No, [R516], they set them up before he went missing. Brian Entin asked an officer about this yesterday he said they missed Brian Laundrie leaving, but didn't elaborate on how."
Then how do we, or L.E., even know he was there AT ALL during this time period? There is no evidence of it. ZERO. And then we have the parents prancing around the reserve the very day after it was open to the public and "finding" evidence (with their bare hands) that is pretty much worthless because there isn't a judge in America who would allow it in court; their lawyer now stating that neither of them reported him missing; and an "inconclusive" autopsy report.
And don't tell me the parental evidence collection is irrelevant because "Brian is dead now." It doesn't matter. To call it a violation of normal police procedure is the understatement of the century.

[quote]Partial human remains found near Brian Laundrie’s backpack and notebook, FBI says [A notebook was found.]
[quote]What we know about the notebook found near Brian Laundrie’s remains [It was wet. We don't know what's in it yet.]
In the interest of fairness and equal representation, and since the YouTube channel at R482 only has one video on the notebook, here are two other pieces of evidence they've discovered:
[quote]GABBY PETITO A PSYOP? CHECK OUT THE RECEIPTS. THE NAMES ARE ODD BUT HEY, "WAG THE DOG" AM I RIGHT?

by Anonymous | reply 549 | October 24, 2021 5:34 AM |
Supposedly Gabby and Brian moved to NY in June before starting their van life trip, not sure why this was not disclosed at first it really made it seem like they lived in the yellow house with the parents.
The couple lived in a condo owned by the parents, before leaving they placed their items in storage. Brian flew down to clean it out and leave some things at his parents house. This could have been disclosed early on since people kept speculating on the sinister reason he flew down to Florida.
I think their lawyer SB did a piss poor job advising them to stay silent, yes that is the correct thing to do avoid incriminating yourself but you need someone who can also address the social media aspect of a high profile case to avoid the mess the Laundrie family is dealing with now. The lawyer is a real estate attorney and he was clearly not experienced in representing criminal cases.
and did not manage the social media aspect
by Anonymous | reply 551 | October 24, 2021 2:14 PM |
[quote] but you need someone who can also address the social media aspect of a high profile case to avoid the mess the Laundrie family is dealing with now.
What mess is the Laundrie family in as a result of not speaking to media? We have no idea what they said to police. Neither they nor police have spoken about anything they did or didn’t say. It’s all media speculation.
All the info you have is from media. All the info media has is speculation. You don’t know anything. If it didn’t come from a police conference, you don’t know what’s what.
The Laundries are not under arrest. They’re not in jail. Their son is dead. His fiancé is dead. That’s all there is. All your anticipatory rubbing will come to naught. The Laundries actually did the right thing. If you’ve ever got the law sniffing around:
Say nothing.
Stay off social media.
Have your lawyer speak for you.
Never talk to police. And never “manage the social media aspect”
by Anonymous | reply 552 | October 24, 2021 9:20 PM |
^^ I agree, it really was the only course of action, because in the predicament that the Laundries found themselves in , no matter what they said or did, LE, social media, and hostile public sentiment would just use it against them.
But equally so, the absolute silence strategy also backfired, at least in the immediate sense. The scrutiny they attempted to deflect was insanely intense and relentless. I can't imagine enduring the ad hoc gatherings of wannabees, the media, and nutbags with megaphones on your lawn 24/7.
by Anonymous | reply 553 | October 24, 2021 10:17 PM |
Except that the total silence strategy did not work for the best in their case because they have an attorney who is totally way in above his head with this case and did not consider how their silence came off as cold indifference. A savvy attorney would have considered the publics perception as an important factor.
Just look at how the public lashed out at Cassie, scaring her young children so much that she was forced to come out of her house to talk to protesters and tell them she didn’t know anything that would help find her brother and that he should be turned in, the parents could have released a statement through their attorney saying something similar, Brian come home, or we don’t know where is at the moment or we are cooperating with authorities.
I would hate to be the neighbors, can you imagine trying to work from home or get some rest with the racket outside, must of the people out there look like weird trash.
by Anonymous | reply 554 | October 25, 2021 12:12 AM |
They showed no concern whatsoever that their son returned home without Gabby in her van, her fate or the worries of her family. So they decide to go on a family camping trip to have a good time. They really come across as monstrous as their son. This has bitten them in the ass big time and deservedly so. The Petitos are left with nothing not even any answers as to what happened to their daughter. Nothing but a body.
by Anonymous | reply 555 | October 25, 2021 12:50 AM |
[quote]The Petitos are left with nothing not even any answers as to what happened to their daughter.
They are left knowing that GP was a victim of homicide by manual strangulation that was done at the hands of her boyfriend/fiancee. They know he came back to his parents in her van on 1 September, and was likely cagey about what happened. They know that he saw his sister and her family one last time. They tried contacting him. They got no answer and reported GP missing the next day. They know that he drove off to the reserve in the Mustang two days later. They know that he killed himself and left a note behind, and wouldn't face the consequences of his actions. They know a great deal, but are left wrestling with the fact that their daughter died a tragic, unnecessary death, and probably wish they saw the signs of the domestic abuse and rescued her from that situation.

[quote] The scrutiny they attempted to deflect was insanely intense and relentless
They weren’t trying to deflect scrutiny. They knew they were being scrutinized and they did the right thing. They kept their mouths shut. Let the media speculate all they want. Let internet Nosy Parkers talk endlessly about what happened. If I were them, once I found out Gabby was missing I wouldn’t have asked Brian anything. They knew he killed her, they knew him. If they asked him anything they’d be accessories after the fact. I’d say, “We need a lawyer. You decide what you’re got to do. Don’t tell us a thing.”
In a few weeks it will all be forgotten except for the sad internet sleuths and ID Discovery addicts. The police can decide if they will charge them with anything. Fact is, since they said nothing there’s probably no way to get a conviction. They have to live with the fact their son is dead and that he murdered his gf. They’ll never speak to the Petitos again. It’s a horrible thing they have to live with, but keep in mind their son was a murderer - they may have been afraid he would kill them and take off, maybe kill others. Better he goes off and kills himself and leaves everyone else out of it.
And what good would it do if they said something that could have landed them in jail? Who would that help? Gabby Petito? Her family? Society?
Their silence kept a horrible situation from being worse. He would’ve been imprisoned for decades in Wisconsin or some other state, filing appeals making life hell for the family.

BL was an intimate partner of GP. For his DNA to be relevant, there would have to be an inordinate amount under her fingernails, for example, indicating some kind of struggle.
Proving he did it would be more about his cell phone pings, the post-mortem use of her phone (and accompanying pings on the ride back to Florida), the location of the van, opportunity/motive, the documented domestic abuse, the demeanour when she was last seen alive, taking off with her van, using her bank card, etc.
I'm not sure which avenue his defence attorney would have taken. There wouldn't have been much wiggle room. Even trying to come up with excuses bears ridiculous scenarios.

This is a group of people who are calling themselves "journalists" and making money off this case. They're emotionally disturbed grifters.
