Anyway, the incident in question was that someone had said Meghan wore a red cape dress to X event, and when I looked it up, it was actually a blue cape dress. The red cape dress was at a different event.

It was all very benign and a simple case of someone mixing up events/dresses, it shouldn't have caused any kind of consternation, yet it caused people like that lady you quoted to go completely insane. That was my whole point. No one simply said "oh right, the blue cape dress was at X, the red cape was at Y."
