Ok, watched the preview again for this season. Fraser (the second stew) is confirmed as bi/gay. The chief stew told him she would blow him if he was straight. So he's 100 % either gay or bi. Then there's Jake. Idk if he's straight, bi or gay. From the previews it looks like he is a flirt. Fraser (who is gay/bi) kissed him, not the other way around. Fraser is the one who made the moves. Jake just seems to be a flirt and goes along with anything. He comes across as someone who loves the attention, whether from men or women. Idk why, he just seems like a straight guy who is heteroflexible/meterosexual to me. That is what I gathered from the preview, but it was very short. It also fits with what Eddie said, that boat romances can blow a boat up. Maybe it's mostly one sided. I feel bad for Fraser if I'm right because it looks like he's falling for a total fuckboy. But we'll see what happens. Maybe I'm wrong and he's bi and this thing is actually genuine. Heck, maybe they will end up having a threesome with that female deckhand. I'll watch though. There was an interesting thread on Reddit about whether or not being on BD hurts your long term career prospects in yachting and the consensus (for whatever that's worth) is that people who *really* work the super yachts don't appear on this show as that's the last thing prestige clients want is to be around a reality TV blabbermouth. So the people who do appear on this show tend to be middle-tier types and influencer types. Which is why I think they tend to get stews (even chief stews) who look like Real Housewife candidates that don't seem particularly good at their job.

The pajamas/kaftans were less humiliating than previous costumes. Although in the preview it looks like some white people requested a Hamilton-themed party...

I also assume that the reason these people are chefs for short stints on luxury yachts is because they wear on people quickly - they couldn't last in a successful, fast paced restaurant because their craziness would get the better of them. I remember Adrian bragging about working for some wealthy family when he left BD, but I checked out his Instagram at one point & I don't think that gig lasted a year

Chef Rachel was also on America's Next Top Model, so I think it's pretty clear that she wants to be a reality star.

At least he's not wandering around the boat, trying to micromanage everyone like Captain Shandy. He seems to display some parental-type concern over people who are struggling, but clearly pushes the leads to deal with non-performers rather than interfere.
