There are no amount of Florida deaths that will stop him from being a top tier Republican contender. He can raise the money and he gets how Trump uses media.
I do remember his team going nuts on the press in 2018 for pretending like the Florida race was anything other than a dead heat. The press reported on it like Gillum had pulled away and was sitting on a lead. DeSantis' team had to work overtime to get their voters out because people dont come out to vote for losers. And it was a good year for D's and he still pulled it out
