Were any of those stories true about him being flat broke, and staying in his dad's guest house? Something about all his money going to fight lawsuits of women he had exposed to HIV, and child support...

Re: Cameo…my dad is in his late 70’s and loved that stupid show “2 1/2 Men”. Because he has everything and never likes what we kids get him (but he’s polite about it), we just give him cash every year. This past year, I thought I’d throw in a Cameo from Charlie Sheen to surprise him. It was like $350 and worth every penny. I requested that Sheen do the usual “Happy birthday from (insert kid’s names)”, then just give Dad some observations and advice on life.

Sheen did a great job! His 2-3 min speech to Dad was funny:“don’t get engaged to a porn star and definitely don’t marry one”; relatable: “we both have great kids/we’re both dads” then he listed some of my dad’s accomplishments as a professor, etc., and Sheen joked, “And that, (insert Dad’s name), is where our similarities end!”; coherent, and sincere. And Dad still talks about it.

The funny thing is, Dad was clueless about Cameo and he thought I’d just contacted Charlie Sheen myself, or had my friend who works in film, to get Sheen do the video.

Sheen’s Wikipedia page is remarkably sanitized given his long history of violent criminal behavior. Some highlights for you, R10, so you can know more about the man you gave $350 to:

October 1994: Sheen was sued by a young UCLA student who claimed he repeatedly struck her in the face and head after she refused to have sex with him.

December 1996: Sheen was arrested for allegedly beating his girlfriend Brittany Ashland, who was also a porn performer. Ms Ashland claimed he grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head into the marble floor of his home, threatening to kill her if she told anyone.

June 1997: Sheen plead no contest to the charges in relation to his assault of Brittany Ashland. He was sentenced to a one-year suspended prison term and two years of probation.

The other Sheen siblings seem relatively well-adjusted. It’s a mystery why Charlie is the way he is.

There were some very dark rumors (BI) about Sheen and Heather Locklear when they were working together. I forget the website, but it may have been the one the lawyer owns. I just don't believe it because I don't believe HL would hurt or abuse a child. Him? Yes. Her? No.

Well he's supposed to be clean and sober now, so a lot of times that contributes to a quieter, calmer lifestyle. And being HIV positive probably caused him to leave the raucous life behind. But who knows.

R11, it’s not like we made Charlie Sheen the sole benefactor of my dad’s estate. It was a video. I clutched my pearls upon reading his wiki. I get it. There’s more. He was a terrible person.

According to this he started dating his kids' 26 year old nanny in 2017.

He was attractive in the 80s and early 90s and still handsome in the early seasons of Two and a Half Men. I jacked off to Sheen's boy in Hot Shots. That said, he's an awful person, a spoiled man-child and serial abuser and rapist. But oddly enough, he is very charming, comes across as friendly, witty and intelligent in interviews. So I'm guessing he's bipolar. Maybe a sadistic sociopath who I would not trust around children, animals, the disabled or the elderly.

He was always known as Hollywood's "bad boy" who allegedly slept with thousands of women and he dated porn stars and prostitutes at that. Being poz is not that surprising.
