Pride flag replaced by Confederate flags on Virginia Tech campus
Ah, the christians love us so much!
For the third time in two weeks, a rainbow Pride flag was stolen from outside a religious center on the Virginia Tech campus. This time, however, the LGBTQ symbol was replaced by two Confederate flags — one in front of the building, where the previous flag stood, and another in the back.
“This one was just an escalation when the Confederate flag was put up in its place," the campus minister, Bret Gresham, told NBC News.
Gresham, who runs the Wesley Center, the building from which the three Pride flags were taken, said the school’s LGBTQ students are “hurt, saddened and scared" following the weekend's incident.
“My No. 1 concern is the students and making sure they feel they have a safe environment to come, to live out their faith and be affirmed in who they are,” he said.

I am less offended by the stars and bars than anything TQ+ at this point. Hell, I am more offended by the stars and stripes than the stars and bars at this point. The former has been used as an excuse for more war crimes.

Churches should just stop flying the Pride flag — or any other flags tied with activism, for that matter. Churches can never be places of solace for the downtrodden.

This is the town where the football team stomped a guy to death, broke all of his teeth and stomped his skull until it cracked open, for transgressive sex. The press release the university put out regarding the flag incident wasn't even bold enough to say the words LGBTQ or gay or anything. There's plenty of shit going on (including the Jewish student center getting the same treatment). I doubt it's a Methodist conspiracy.
