I think you're right on all counts, R1. Pearce was a dreamboat in his prime, and he's still a sexy daddy. And, as you say, a phenomenal actor. His film, tv and stage career spans over 30 years, and he has played just about every type of character.

I am not ashamed to say that I want him in me, quite deeply.

Good in Mildred Pierce. I agree he had nowhere to do in Mare, I thought he was one of those characters who would prove to have an ulterior motive but nope.

Well it took me 2 days to download Jack Irish, There's a lot of it. It seems completely unknown in North America. I did watch and enjoy Billy Bob in Goliath, which seems to be the same genre?

A friend works on Jack Irish's and another toured with him. He is lovely. Very kind, down to earth, no airs and graces. Normal. That's nice isn't it?

The only reason I watched Jack Irish was to watch Pearce -- he's the only male movie star I find irresistible. Amazingly sexy.

But the show was confusing and outside of Pearce, not very well acted. I wish he could find better roles.

I think he’s a great actor. I first saw him in A Slipping Down Life with Lili Taylor. I don’t find him hot though. And agree he had no point in Mare of Easttown. Why cast such a high profile actor in a role of so little consequence?

He was HAF in Priscilla. But I didn't believe he was gay. I know one when I see one.

He was nerdy hot in LA Confidential. I didn't realize until way later that he was not American. He had that one sex scene with Kim Basinger. I guess he was supposed to look awkward, but he did look really awkward in the sex scene. Russell Crowe, on the other hand, was very sexy in his sex scene.

The main host/craftsman, Mike Lemieux, on HGTV's "Houses With History" is a dead-ringer for Guy. A non-anorexic Guy.

Liked him in “memento” , “Mildred pierce” and “la confidential”, found his character annoying in “Priscilla”. Hadn’t thought of him in a while until I saw him in “mare of winningham”. Meh - realised I didn’t miss him that much actually.

Totally had the hots for him in LA Confidential. Wonderful actor, gorgeous man. I even got some cheapie flick he made - a biopic of Errol Flynn - which had a pretty hot sex scene where he showed off that fine ass.

Jack Irish is hardly unknown. It's playing (or has played) on primary PBS channels all over. It's really awful--cliche ridden plots, horrible dialogue. Pearce isn;t good enough to elevate to being watchable.
