Vogue Debuts MOST Diverse September Issue w/ Lourdes, Trans and Plus Size!
by Anonymous | reply 95 | August 16, 2021 9:58 PM |
Is Lourdes trans?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 6, 2021 7:09 AM |
The one in green in the upper right hand corner doesn't even look human.

[quote]alongside industry NEPOTISM favorites like Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, and Madonna's daughter Lourdes.
Fixed that for you.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 6, 2021 7:28 AM |
Yes, r3, there's nothing better than having a "career" bought for you when you're useless at everything else.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 6, 2021 7:32 AM |
No thanks. I'm good.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 6, 2021 7:32 AM |
How does it sell magazines to have people as uninspiring as this on the cover? All to appear "woke"?
Also, isn't all this (fake) wokeness supposed to be about destroying privilege? How does putting a bunch of nepotism beneficiaries on the cover achieve that end?
Vogue is officially over.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 6, 2021 8:20 AM |
Oh, my Lourde.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 6, 2021 8:26 AM |
How is Bella Hadid a "supermodel?" She would have been laughed out of town in the 90's.

Anna must be desperate. She is notorious for disliking fat people. That girl in the red dress? She is not Vogue cover material. Also, is Gen Z even into Vogue? This seems like a stuffy publication for this demo.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 6, 2021 8:46 AM |
Would Editor Wintour please explain why she is promoting men in dresses as women.

What do you think [italic]I[/italic] am, peasant?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 6, 2021 9:03 AM |
Aside from the models used, it's a weird picture. They're in an office. Seen in the background is the back of a man designing a Vogue cover--is he FTM or are they being ironic, acknowledging that indeed, a straight white male did paste together this mishmash?
I do like the dresses on Hadid and the black girl in the foreground. Whoever did Lourdes's and Kaia's makeup put a distracting amount of highlighter or shimmer on their temples. That polka dot dress is not doing the model any favors.
I picture Anna shaking her head at whatever pictures came out of the original photo shoot so they put this together at the last minute.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 6, 2021 3:57 PM |
The elegant days are over.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 6, 2021 4:04 PM |
Is that pic going to be in landscape? There's just too many people - I guess it will be a pullout.
The other pics in the article DO seem high-fashion. The cover does not.
Are we over high fashion though? We've seen tons of odd poses and peculiar outfits for decades now. It still creates a response, but it's not really unique or new or cutting edge anymore.
I do feel like the sun has set on these type of magazines. Nobody aspires for this anymore - not that it was ever 'real' because who honestly wears stuff like that?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 6, 2021 4:05 PM |
Magazines should’ve died with MAD.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 6, 2021 4:07 PM |
I think this is a positive step that needed to be made. Bravo to Vogue for leading by example and inspiring us in their little way to be better than ourselves and accepting of all types even when they are really kind of nasty at best.
Just fucking with you girls.. How pretentious.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 6, 2021 4:14 PM |
Maybe this would have been groundbreaking 5 years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 6, 2021 4:19 PM |
Lourdes is a talentless FAT whore. ROCCO IS THE BEST ROCCO ONLY
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 6, 2021 4:23 PM |
I thought Lourdes was the trans model.
Poor Kaia Gerber has to share her first September cover with a bunch of trash.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 6, 2021 5:41 PM |
I feel like Lourdes is regaling the group with embarrassing stories of her mother and they are eating it up. "this one time she had me hide behind the couch and pull on her ears so she didn't look anywhere near her age in her instagram pics. It wasn't as bad as the time she had me hide behind the headboard and pull on them while a guy half my age mounted her, though..." Fun Fact: If you google Lourdes Leon she comes up as an American Singer.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 6, 2021 6:33 PM |
I guess Anna needed Kaia and Bella in the mix to reassure they’re not going all-in on the freaks and fatties.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 6, 2021 6:36 PM |
The black girl in the front looks like she belongs there. The rest do not.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 6, 2021 6:41 PM |
Agree. The black girl in the front is stunning. Lourdes is the worst. I'm sure the diversity of the cover will change EVERYTHING bad in this world.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 6, 2021 6:42 PM |
So ahead of the curve

by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 6, 2021 7:09 PM |
Does anyone care about models anymore? Everyone is a model. Everyone has followers. Anyone can make money as an instaho. Just seems like a super silly thing to do with one's life.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 6, 2021 7:28 PM |
Fashion magazines’ power has been greatly diluted. We have the internet and television to tell us what makeup/clothing/perfume to wear now. Women have a wide variety of “acceptable” garments now.
And many of us don’t give a fuck what the magazines say, anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 6, 2021 7:49 PM |
I was hoping to ride out the Jenner/Hadids, then Vogue added fat girls to the mix instead, and I cancelled my subscription. Thank god this won't be arriving in my mailbox.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 6, 2021 7:57 PM |
Anok Yai is my favorite on the cover
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 6, 2021 8:21 PM |
Oh goddess 🙄
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 6, 2021 8:30 PM |
R29 - totally agree. When was the last time you saw something fresh or new in fashion? We've been in a holding pattern for about 20 years. Everything has been done and remade and done over and over.
I still contend men's fashion is the area that could really pave the way with different looks and designs. But it's a hard sell - men just don't spend a lot of money on new stuff and very few want to be avante garde or stick out too much.
Fashion magazines are dead.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 7, 2021 1:23 AM |
Have to agree that Lourdes is the worst.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 7, 2021 1:30 AM |
08/06 * Blind Item *3**
For the first time I can ever remember, this A+ list magazine editor is letting someone else choose who to invite to a very popular event. The editor has no idea who any of the young talent is and is ceding some control. So, look for a bunch of Tik Tok stars.
Anna Wintour/"Vogue"/"The Met Gala" (Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o among early picks for Met Gala list)
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 7, 2021 4:31 AM |
Diverse? The 3 of them are kids of famous rich people. Only Kaia looks like an actual model. Bellas had facial surgery (super FUG before) and LardAss Rican is just …vomit.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 7, 2021 4:38 AM |
r34 How did she even get chosen?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 7, 2021 7:49 PM |
Who is lower left hand corner? She's GORGEOUS. And black, obviously. Just put her on the covers, dumdumbs! This isn't rocket science. Put a GORGEOUS young woman on he cover.
Why are they all ecstatic and jumpy? Do they have those vibrating pellets in their cooters, like the Colombian chaturbate boys put in their butts?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 7, 2021 7:55 PM |
Awful representation, Men pretending to be women and surgically enhanced bio women. Sick of this!
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 7, 2021 7:56 PM |
Thank your R35! Anok Yai for the win. Stunning.
I will say I am happy American's poetesse laureate Amanda Gorman didn't make the cut. Having already graced the cover this year, one assumes. Gawd does she stick in my craw.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 7, 2021 8:01 PM |
Who is their target audience? The self-deluded? The mentally ill? Those with fat, unhealthy bodies? This is diversity? Sounds more like stupidity.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 7, 2021 8:25 PM |
What’s next playboys centerfold goes to Lizzo and her discoloured dirty buttcrack?
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 15, 2021 12:33 AM |
well I guess Vogue has really lost it, they also have this piece in the issue.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 15, 2021 12:40 AM |
[quote]Fashion magazines are dead.
True.
I don't know about women's fashion but men's fashion is alive and well on Instagram. I see so many great clothes with truly handsome men on my Instagram feed, mostly coming from Europe. No woke bullshit. And no I'm not talking about Instahos. These are genuine fashion accounts.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 15, 2021 12:44 AM |
If I were that beautiful Black woman. Anok Yai, I would be asking "Why am I on this with all these freaks?" I guess Black women, especially dark skinned ones, are still other.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 15, 2021 12:46 AM |
Josh O'Connor models a lot. You can see it on Instagram. And the stuff is really creative and new. Men's fashion is where it's at.
He also has the skinny, sensitive, even sickly, look for white models that is in right now! Gorgeous.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | August 15, 2021 12:51 AM |
Stunning, brave, etc etc
by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 15, 2021 12:58 AM |
Red dress and black girl at the bottom left are both beautiful. I have no idea who they are. Bella Hadid and Lourdes don't belong anywhere near the cover of Vogue. Kaia Gerber has the body (and the walk, which her mother never did) but not the face or the je ne sais quoi. Which isn't to say she isn't very pretty, because she is. But she ain't no Cindy C. Redhead has Nicole Kidman Clapping Meme hands.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 15, 2021 1:08 AM |
I laughed at these 3 pictures.
And the writer obviously doesn't know the language.
These are instruments of torture.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | August 15, 2021 1:12 AM |
No, just no. How about someone beautiful who's not the spawn of someone famous in the 80s or filling in this month's marginalized quota? I want to see women who wear clothes beautifully. There are a variety of women who can do that--use them.
Anna really needs to pass the torch and retire. Vogue has been a visual borefest since Grace Coddington retired.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | August 15, 2021 1:15 AM |
Oh God I am so relieved!
by Anonymous | reply 52 | August 15, 2021 1:28 AM |

But you knew that.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | August 15, 2021 1:36 AM |
In other news, Vogue magazine sales continue to drop, month after month, with no end in sight....
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 15, 2021 1:39 AM |
I think Bella Hadid looked better before all the plastic surgery. Younger, prettier, more ethnic, less homogenized. There's nothing to celebrate about what she did to her face or this cover.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 15, 2021 1:40 AM |
Woke Vogue is following the trajectory of woke Vanity Fair...into the garbage heap.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | August 15, 2021 1:41 AM |
They can challenge it from now till Domesday.
Everyone will still recognise beauty when they see it.
Everyone can't be beautiful or the very word loses its meaning, because it suggests comparison with other things that aren't.
They think they're being innovative and edgy, but what they're really doing is boring the shit out bnb of everyone.
We never read VOGUE for sociopolitical justice or progress or equality.
We read it for its worship of beauty, its triumphant unfairness, the source of its seductive subversiveness.
This isn't subversive: this is drab SWP gruel.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | August 15, 2021 1:48 AM |
People should be forced to buy woke publications. For their own good.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | August 15, 2021 1:49 AM |
R59 Can we get government vouchers for that? Or at least a tax write-off?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | August 15, 2021 2:01 AM |
Does Anna die a little bit inside every time she has to do something like this?
by Anonymous | reply 61 | August 15, 2021 2:06 AM |
The demographic that Vogue is aiming for with this cover doesn't even read fashion magazines.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | August 15, 2021 2:07 AM |
Holy shit I thought Lourdes was the tranny, she is definitely not model material with that odd stocky build and busted face.
The tranny was strategically hidden behind the other women and his outfit was deliberately chosen to mask the male body and neck. In the other picture you can see where they pulled the shit, it’s deliberately trying to fool people into thinking it’s a woman.
The only people that belong on that cover are kaia and the gorgeous black woman who looks every bit the super model.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | August 15, 2021 2:30 AM |

“I’ve been told that a lot of influencers are on the guest list,” one celebrity agent, whose clients have been regulars at the affair in the past, told The Post. “I’ve heard that Facebook and Instagram have taken so many tables, and that’s put a lot of people off going, alongside the mask mandate.”
A publicist with A-list clients added: “Personally, I don’t think the Met is cool anymore … It’s gone from super prestigious to [being] full of influencers.”
Because of COVID restrictions, lead organizer and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has had to slash the guest from 600 to 450, The Post is told.
Among the rumored newcomers is Addison Rae, a 20-year-old social-media star turned singer who boasts 82.5 million followers on TikTok and 38.6 million on Instagram. YouTuber Emma Chamberlain, who is 20 and dropped out of high school to vlog about her life for her 10.5 million subscribers, is also reportedly on the guest list.
Representatives for Vogue declined to comment.
This year’s focus is on supporting young talent, so guests will skew younger, sources told The Post. “Any of the old guard who are complaining simply didn’t get invited — it’s just sour grapes,” said a fashion insider with knowledge of the event.
“I think the big actors and the big fashionistas will come next year, when it returns in May,” said the agent. “I also don’t think a lot of people feel like dressing up in ridiculously expensive outfits and putting on a mask for this.”
The co-hosts are all 25 and under: Singer 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗘𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲́𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘁, 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗡𝗮𝗼𝗺𝗶 𝗢𝘀𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗲𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻, who shot to fame after her performance at Joe Biden’s January inauguration. Wintour, designer Tom Ford and Instagram head Adam Mosseri will serve as honorary chairs.
Facebook and Instagram are sponsoring the event this year.
Among those rumored to be attending, The Post is told, are tennis superstar 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝘀; 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘀, 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶́𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲, “𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲” 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼, who has long been invited but never shown up before.
