Singer TONY BENNETT.

It's his birthday! Born on August 3, 1926 Tony Bennett turns 95 years of age - now that's longevity!

What do you think of Tony Bennett, his songs, his voice, and his career?

Tony has great pipes and sings from his diaphragm so he has power. He really benefitted from signing with Columbia all those years ago. The producers and engineers at Columbia were at the top of their class. They were able to capture his voice and package it so the recording sound wasn’t too tinny or dated.

The slight reverb on the Columbia vocal recordings of the early 1960s still sounds okay today, which has made it possible for generations to enjoy it and, hopefully, Tony to earn royalties.

I love him. And I love the fact that he is so known today because I sang with him. He's a monster for life.
