Is anyone going to give a shit about the Hawkeye show? He's the most forgettable Avenger

I think this is just a set up for an eventual Young Avengers film or series as "Hawkeye" introduces Kate Bishop. All of the shows have been a stepping stone to Marvel's Phase 4 and possibly beyond.

I think it's a mark of how mediocre he is as an actor that he plays one of the characters with the most interesting personalities in the history of the Marvel superheroes and has made him totally forgettable.

In the comics, Hawkeye has traditionally been a wiseass whose smart and loud mouth hides a big warm heart. You would never know that from the movies. Part of that is the writers' fault, but more of it is Renner's.

He was good in "The Hurt Locker", but he strikes me as a snide and arrogant asshole. Sorry Jeremy. * shrug *

Saddling his character with a wife and kids, and being a “family man”, didn’t help his character arc any.

I thought he was good in roles like The Town, and the Hurt Locker, and 28 Weeks Later, one but since then, has been a shite actor for the most part. He now plays Renner, like TC plays Cruise.

Everything about Renner is phony.

He plays characters off and on screen - a total fabrication.

Loathes himself because of where he comes from as well as his sexual preferences.

Prefers sex with men and stomachs sex with women, then freely and loudly shouts fag at others who enjoy same-sex encounters.

Brought another human being into existence with another low-life piece of trash just to bolster his straight brand, even though no one could give a shit about said brand.

Rumor has it he slept with Bigelow to get the part in Hurt Locker.

And there’s the anecdote about the Thai tranny hooker and the melee that followed over non-payment(?)

He's ugly but he got a very good agent.
