He has decided to follow his heart and attempt his “true” passion, country music. Is he truly good? I am pretty indifferent to his style.
What I do know is he has the perfect look to sell the image of an All-American Country Boy, only he isn’t that. He is from Vancouver, Canada, and grew up between there and Los Angeles. He’s a city boy through and through.
However, I find him physically appealing at times so I wish him the best.

Insert Jenna Maroney joke about going country as a last resort for attention. Anyways, it's the usual rockstars wanna be actors and actors wanna be rockstars dynamic. Any guy with a deep and decent enough voice can make a country hit and find fame, and Alex's now more rugged looks plus lack of money since Hunger Games is probably motivating this.

I can't tell whether he's good or not, he has a lot of sweetner going on in those tracks. What I can say is he got the entire country song model down. It sounds like any Brad Paisley, whatever young country star that pops up every few years. He won't be taken seriously though by the community and fans because he'll be seen as a pretty boy actor playing at being a country singer.

What are you all speaking about, saying he hasn’t done anything since Hunger Games? He’s acted consistently since Hunger Games, including Lone Survivor, Bad Boys For Life, Midway and Vikings for 6 years.
He now has a show coming out on Starz with Stephen Amell.
He hasn’t stopped working.
His new series debuts August 15.

He is a product of Nepotism. His dad is head of some huge company I think Lionsgate entertainment. He like his idol and friend T Fimmel overacts every scene but keeps falling upwards because he has connections. They both have connections that guarantee work ahead of real talent.
