WTF was that about?
Not only did I M D B win that lawsuit but when the California legislature, in their infinite stupidity and sucking up to actors, tried to keep age info confidential if requested by the person of an internet website , the Courts struck that law down as an unconstitutional violation of the First Amendment.
In any event the original cause of action against I M D B was premised on the fact that it had used her account info to edit her web page bio information. That failed but that was her argument and the her damages was the harm to her career as the result of the knowledge of her true age.

The legislature enacted the law . . . September 2016. In February 2018, U.S. District . . . struck down the law as violating the First Amendment. In June 2020, the Ninth Circuit affirmed [the District Court's] judgement, holding that the statute was an unconstitutional content-based restriction that violated the First Amendment.
