They’re a lot of fun. If you can can already snowboard or surf, it comes naturally and it’s just a matter of having the core strength to stay upright.

You have to steer it with your core, so it’s not as really as simple as staying upright. He’s in a wake, so directionality is already on his side but even in surfing and wake-boarding you aren’t propelling yourself. To do it well for more than a few seconds, you have to be very fit.

There's a fin going down into the water from the back with a propeller on it, and its speed is controlled remotely by a wireless gun-looking thing you hold in your hand. The harder you squeeze, the higher it rises off the water. You turn it with your body. If you can surf, snowboard, or water ski, you can pick it up quickly. It has nothing to do with staying on wake...it works in perfectly calm water also
