Tornado outbreak tearing across Chicago area right now.

Please don’t hit my house!

by Anonymousreply 26June 21, 2021 12:30 PM

Yikes! Chicago is getting hit with massive t-storms tonight. Just heard from my relatives there, in the city, they are getting pelted with wind and rain.

3 hurt in Naperville, supposedly

by Anonymousreply 2June 21, 2021 5:48 AM

Night time tornados are the most dangerous. You can't see the thing coming.

by Anonymousreply 3June 21, 2021 5:50 AM

Courage.

by Anonymousreply 4June 21, 2021 5:54 AM

Yes, I am just outside Chicago and the lightening and thunder woke me up.

by Anonymousreply 5June 21, 2021 5:55 AM

I’ll be at the Ambassador East, to say the least.

Supposedly a huge tornado touched down in Woodbridge, with radar indicating it was an EF3.

Tornados on the ground in NW Indiana now.

Take out the trash, Mother Nature!

by Anonymousreply 12June 21, 2021 6:21 AM

There was a "debris ball" over Woodridge/Naperville. They said we usually don't see that here and it means that the tornado was throwing debris thousands of feet in the air and that debris was getting picked up by radar.

Thank God you had that follow up sentence. I was almost left baffled.

Hold me, David. It's heading toward Indianapolis.

My brother used to live in Plainfield.

by Anonymousreply 16June 21, 2021 6:28 AM

Im in Chicago right by the lake and the rain & lightning were intense. By the time I got all my windows shut the rug in the living room was soaked and it was hitting my back door so hard that the rain was making its way inside.

Chicago builds some cheap-ass wooden box houses in it's suburbs. Not a good idea...
