R1 I don’t get that whole interview to me wasn’t it the usual talk show banter. I don’t think there was anything going on in the Dakota Ellen interview besides the usual fakery to “entertain” the audience.

Both of her parents had "it", and poor Dakota got neither the i, nor the t.

I do find her odd but somehow compelling to watch. She’s a bit offbeat with her delivery which makes her quite interesting to watch.

She’s a zero. No personality. Can’t open any movies. Got the sexual role because of her parents and the publicity it would bring. I don’t fault her though. She goes to AA with her mother. Her entire vibe is one of entitlement. Child of movie stars. She’s useless. I don’t see her movies. The trailers alone are boring as shit. I think her “fans” are old enough to be her parents age.

I think she's really pretty. She was supposed to be a nothing "blah" character in the Fifty Shades movies... and she was. But I liked her in "How to be Single" and thought she was great in it.

There's something interesting about her, although I can't put my finger on it. I've never seen her acting and am not interested to (well, I saw the excuciating remake of THE SWIMMING POOL by the italian creep who made the pedo movie with Hannibal-Harmie Lecter), so I 've never seen her acting. She is so WEIRD. She seems a 75 yo woman hiding in a young girl' body. I saw the Ellen thing. It was lethal and unsettling. Is she an illuminati, or a scientologist or some like that ?

I remember seeing a piece on her home/garden somewhere. She has very sophisticated, understated taste and lives in a lovely shady bungalow in the hills. I was surprised. I liked her in the Suspiria remake, thought she was very good.

I love how you can see her family resemblances. I’ve only seen her in “Suspiria”, which was a good creepy movie until the end when it went over the top.

She’s just like her mother. Not much of an actress and no great beauty either.

Big example of nepotism. Not charismatic or notably pretty, yet keeps getting an insane amount of hype and roles. She reminds me a lot of Kate Beckinsale - as in boring, skinny brunette.

I've only seen her in the remake of Suspiria. Don't get me started on that train wreck of a remake, but I will give her props with the material she had to work with on it.

Laura isn't good looking at all and actually is very talented. One of the few actresses today I'll watch a movie for.

Dakota is the best actress of her generation.

Laura Dern has been attractive in movies for 40years and she’s a terrific actress. She and her mother act very good together. It’s a neat thing.

R31 After being tied in place and having real vicious live birds peck at her and gifting Melanie with a doll of her mother in a coffin, I’ve always hoped there was an undisclosed pain and suffering civil lawsuit she placed against Hitchcock that set her up for life.

I like Dakota. She’s sweet, funny, and there’s something very authentic and calming about her. Tippi Hedren has always been one of my favorite actresses, and Dakota reminds me a tiny bit of her grandmother.

I find her to be a void. The only film I didn't mind her in was Suspiria, simply because it sort of suited the overall vibe of the film and her role.

She helped bring that cunt Ellen down. For that alone she deserves a long and rewarding career.

I like her. Seems like a good gal and her best work has been in Suspiria, but she was enjoyable with a nothing role in the first Fifty Shades movie. I thought she was charming and adorable in that. She has enough warmth and likability to keep me invested.

Because of this thread I watched Suspiria--a thousand years of my life I'll never get back. I don't think she was good nor was the film. I'm beginning to hate Tilda worse than Meryl--but by hate I just mean I don't want to see any more of their films. I'm sure they're personally nice.

I usually roll my eyes when some child of an entertainer becomes an actor 'cause they seem like nepotists, but I do like this gal. I've seen a few flicks that she's been in and I've found her delightful quite to my surprise.

Dakota is okay, but I prefer her brother Saskatchewan Johnson.

I like her, but then, I liked her parents. And I can't even say why. But I remember noticing her in a tiny little cameo in Social Network that she did opposite Justin Timberlake. She is a cutie. Like, I think I could be friends with her and hang out.

You have to be either a super jealous woman or a super jealous gay man to think Kate Beckinsale is plain.

Dakota defends Depp, Armie and Shia, but shits on Alfred Hitchcock. I think she's one of those types who will defend or downplay crappy people if they're nice to her.

Why come she doesn't sound at all like her mother the way Kate Hudson sounds like Goldie Hawn?
