Looks better than it tastes. But it's not bad.

Yes. i've never had it, but it sounds delicious. Even the no-meat variation sounds good.

Loathe it. Cinnamon and meat? Does not amuse the palate.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 13, 2021 2:33 AM |
It's good with lamb.

Cultural appropriation.

Well, I'm watching "Casablanca".

It sounds good, but too many carbs for me.

I have a great Apricot Lamb recipe that calls for cinnamon. It's delicious, but thanks to R4, I'm not going to share it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 13, 2021 3:47 AM |
I’d sneak in a little clove to compliment the cinnamon, but that’s just me.
What is “preserved lemon”? I’m not sure about investing in Harissa.

OP, in the link's list of ingredients, it completely omits any mention of the chicken - amount, which cuts, etc.

This is the only allowable side dish to go along with that meal.

Here in deepest flyover Wisconsin I had a Moroccan neighbor whose wife made the most delicious stews that he shared with select fellow tenants. This might have been one of them. I especially liked the kind of bread she made that accompanied the dishes. When I asked him what it was called, he shrugged and said they called it 'bread'.
At any rate, happy Eid to those celebrating.

Do you need a clay pot to make it?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 13, 2021 8:05 AM |
Not jealous, but slightly envious if it's made properly.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 13, 2021 8:17 AM |
Love tagine, but I've never made it because I don't have room for the tagine pot in my little kitchen.
