Mike Myers being generally awful to work with has been long documented. There was a pretty damning EW article that came out around the time of The Love Guru in 2008 that speaks to him clashing with the director of Wayne's World, Carvey and a host of others along the way. With some studio execs actively rooting for his failure! Pretty brutal. Though according to colleagues I know who worked with him, not entirely undeserving of it. To his credit, it seems like he and Carvey have mended fences in recent years. Some of the Myers/Carvey feud also came from Myers stealing/re-appropriating Dana's Lorne Michaels impression into Dr. Evil. A lot of his former Second City cast mates have also claimed he stole material over the years...though who knows how much of that is sour grapes.

I can also vouch that Ben Stiller, Jeremy Piven and Tim Allen are total asshats. I've also heard that Martin Short can be a real asshole (despite everyone saying he's the nicest guy in Hollywood).

I worked as a cocktail server/bar back in the lobby of a fancy hotel. The bar was tucked away in one corner of the main lobby. Guests walked from the elevator bay down to the sunken lobby via a grand staircase. The bar was right off that staircase, but hidden. As guests descended, only very tall guests could be seen from the bar. And then, only their heads! It was always strange to see the floating "heads" make their way from the elevators to the lobby (hope that makes sense) and would startle us every damn time.

Anyway, late one night, I'm cleaning glasses and sure enough, I see a floating "head" descend down the stairway. Like always, there was a second of "wtf?", a glance upward at the head, then back to work as usual. No biggie. I had no idea whose "head" it was. I just glanced up for half a second. That's it.

Two moments later, Tim fucking Robbins is in my face. Mind you, I'm like 19 or 20. And he just starts yelling at me with all the cliche shit you hear about, but don't think actually occurs: "Don't you ever look at my fucking face again. You are nothing, you fucking loser. Fucking asshole. Look at me? Do you know who I am? You will never be like me. I will get you fired right now". Screaming at me. Top of his lungs. It was late, and the lobby was nearly empty.

It just went on and on. I couldn't even believe it. Frankly, I have no idea how I reacted or what I might have said. I don't think I said anything. I just remember the bartender coming up (not sure where he was when it started) and ushering me downstairs. It was brutal. And I am NO shrinking violet.

Come to find out, Robbins treated the concierge and front desk staff just as horribly. He even parked his fucking Volvo in the fire lane. And when the valet guy asked him to move it, he freaked out on that poor guy even worse than he did to me. Just a douchebag of epic proportions.

It was an account from a playwright or script writer who received am unsolicited call fron Roberts asking to meet about discussing a joint venture. Lorne insisted that Wayne needed a buddy, someone to interact with, so he forced Dana Carvey's "Garth" into the mix. This is what started the Mike vs. Dana resentment which only got worse as Wayne's World became successful. It didn't help that Dana never really found "WW" funny and was constantly re-writing and ad-libbing which Mike hated. And yes, Dana is still pissed (though lately he denies it) that Mike stole his Lorne impression to create "Dr. Evil."

Watch any Denzel appearance on David Letterman--the man is P-R-I-C-K-L-Y. Or at least he was.

My dad has a rare blood condition. Only a few hundred thousand people in the world have it. He didn't have symptoms but nevertheless, the doctors at UCLA wanted to see him. His joke was that the doctors were paying HIM for a consultation. Once, in the waiting room, Sidney Poitier sat down right next to him. It was the office of a very specialized hematologist and professor. My dad said "nice to see you...remind me so much of being a kid...God" and Sidney was super cool and smiled and said "which was your favorite film?" My dad said it was a tie between the one with Tony Curtis and "In the Heat of the Night". Sidney asked if he wanted an autograph and my dad said "no, I have so many memories and your voice is still in my mind". Then Sidney smiled and said "hey, let's switch blood samples" and winked. He was very funny and easygoing.

After working on several projects that Reese Witherspoon was involved in (3) I can say I have no idea where the bad reports are coming from. Never heard about or seen her act in any way that someone could have objection to, so someone must be out to smear her for whatever reason.

I have written about his before, I worked on Burlesque, Christina Aguilera was very professional. She knew her lines, knew her choreo and delivered. She did seem painfully socially awkward. It seemed like she did not know how to just fit in with the other actresses and hang out when there was a pause of any kind. She usually would go off in a corner and literally ball herself up next to the PA that was "in charge" of her. Meaning the PA that would escort her to and from her trailer to set or escort her "through the works" ie getting her through hair, make up, wardrobe. So she was not friendly but she was not a bitch to anyone either. If anything she was quite needy with those closest to her.

A wardrobe lady I know worked on a Madonna tour. She told me Madonna was the worst person she's ever seen. Hostile and would literally shove someone out of her way if they were in front of her and she wanted to get by. She probably said more than that but that is all I remember. J Lo is known for being a big cunt, no one who has worked with her can deny that, except me. I worked on Gigli and for whatever reason, her behavior was fine. She may have been nice to me because she thought I was PR. I think Ben may have had something to do with her behavior being unusually good. I’ve listened to about 20 episodes of Seth Rudetsky’s Back to School podcasts where mostly Broadway celebs talk about their high school years. Martin Short is one of only 2 celebs who I liked less after the podcast. He was snotty and pretentious and clearly expected to be treated like a star.

I read (skimmed) Martin short’s biography years ago and what stuck out to me was the amount of name dropping it contained. Even in the context of his wife dying - it was all about which celebrities came over and brought food (Nora Ephron). So much talk of vacationing with Tom Hanks and Kurt Russell and Goldie hawn and Steve Martin.

He just came off like an fame-obsessed asshole.
