Rachel takes plenty of time off. Her show has not changed. She’s still covering important news. Whether you’re actually interested in the news is a different story. It sounds like that you are not.

Rachel Maddow's Show Will Switch to Weekly Next Year Under New MSNBC Deal (Report)

Rachel Maddow's new multi-year contract with MSNBC will keep her at the network, but she will switch from hosting her nightly primetime program to a once-per-week show, according to CNN.

A representative for MSNBC did not immediately return a request for comment, but per CNN, this change will happen sometime next year.

The new deal was finalized over the weekend and leaves space for Maddow to work on other projects outside of "The Rachel Maddow Show," which she's hosted for 13 years.

That is, it's a single, fixed camera shot throughout, with the closed-in sound of a small room, in front of a large LCD monitor as backdrop. Did the giant TV blow up or something?

Does Rachel live in a barn or something? That’s what her backdrop would suggest. Why is there a huge metal door latch on the top of a door or something? I don’t get it.

I like Rachel a lot but when she spends more than 3-4 minutes in a lead-up to her story, I turned the channel. It's annoying.
