Even though most of the following collaborations haven't provided the greatest of results, Kidman has actually attempted to work with film-festival level directors over the past decade: Campion, Bier, Sorkin, Vallee, Lanthimos, Coppola, Park, Daniels; and she regularly returns to Australia to work on local projects.
Angelina Jolie is more of a star in the tabloid sense.

Nicole has had many turkeys but she has my respect for doing indies, thrillers, comedies and messing with her looks. Dogville was brave, as was Birth.
Angie turned down Gravity and other good roles.

She ruined her face but Kidman had a good run.
Jolie will be known for her lips and lantern jaw. Not really memorable as an actor.

Jolie's never been in a great film, and the last decent film she was in, Changeling, was in 2008.
