In other threads I have stated my issues with Harry and Meghan, but this idea of rallying around the monarchy because you don't like somebody is so absolutely silly and high school. It's not 'rallying round' the monarchy or 'protecting it' from anyone to state the plainly observed fact that several polls in the UK show no movement up or down in the support levels for it, immediately after the supposedly critical interview by H&M. It's an observation that even disgruntled family members who cry and howl about their lot in the BRF, and who have a fairly visible platform, weren't able dislodge the monarchy's basic popularity. Nothing more or less.

You may not have said it or thought it, but it's common theme in a lot of threads. A lot of people in those threads characterize the BRF as the Waltons and Meghan as Alexis Carrington. The bullshit that gets grafted on to this woman and Harry by association is pure insanity.
