Tasteful Friends: Justin Woolverton lists his West Hollywood home for $6,099,000

Justin Woolverton of Halo Top Creamery fame has listed his West Hollywood abode.

Purchased for $5.6 million in 2019.

I don't know about you ladies but I am sniffing some major cookies to go with my ice cream on this one. What do you think - is she a sister?

Now what in the world would make you think that the creator of a low-calorie ice cream who looks like this might be gay, OP?

Major ‘mo. The views are fabulous. So tasteful.

It's Los Angeles. He could be the biggest pussy hound expert bean flicker and you would never know.

I love the house. Why is he selling, I wonder?

by Anonymousreply 5March 22, 2021 9:25 PM

Very nice but lots of glass for an area prone to earthquakes.

by Anonymousreply 6March 22, 2021 9:31 PM

I’m not a fan of so much glass, it’s overkill. A couple of rooms fine, but not in practically every room. I’d take coziness over windows and panoramic views unless I’m vacationing in a resort on an island.

I need to hit the frozen isle more. I have never heard of that ice cream. Maybe that's a good thing.

The neighborhood is really packed in, maybe he wants more lot space. I notice the house itself is 5000 sq ft (two-stories) on a relatively small, 5600 sq ft lot. Even that driveway isn't really his; as it's a common one that serves five other homes in the enclave that were all built at the same time (same general style).

Also, I notice in the street view that someone is/was building what looks to be a rather large home across the street from this place. Probably won't affect the overall view, but maybe he doesn't want to look at someone's roof .. lol.

OP. the link says it was last sold for $ 4.83M in 2014.

The property history indicates it's been listed and delisted every single year since it was bought, so maybe he's just one of those people who put their home on the market all the time.

In any event, it doesn't look like he even lives there. There's also a rental notation indicating it goes for $25,000 per month, and it's on "Apartment Finder" .. lol

Wait ^ is that the same house?

by Anonymousreply 12March 22, 2021 11:04 PM

The house is kinda cool but would really have benefitted from a more rigorous approach to material selection and a couple more architect reviews of the RCP lol those ceilings are bizzzzzzzzzzy.

by Anonymousreply 13March 22, 2021 11:09 PM

Not West Hollywood though

by Anonymousreply 14March 22, 2021 11:24 PM

R11 That's not the same home as the one in the Original Post. The L.A. Times article says that home was built in 2001. OP's house was built in 2008. The square footage and bedrooms/bathrooms are different as well.

by Anonymousreply 15March 23, 2021 12:01 AM

That piece of wood art on the table looks like a mangled pork chop. Shitty taste in area rugs. Kill her!

by Anonymousreply 16March 23, 2021 12:01 AM

R12 No, it's not same house.

The one at R11 is at 1870 Sunset Plaza Dr. OP's house is at 1750 Viewmont Dr.

They're about 1/3 mile from each other.

He apparently rents the Guest House at the Sunset Plaza home (above).

I wonder if it helps, if you present hole?

I stand corrected R15 and R17. Thanks for pointing that out.

I am not too keen on the architecture of either one but I agree with everyone else that the views are fabulous.

Kind of a strange price point; more than the 'a mediocre celebrity lived here for two years and is now flipping' range of $2-5MM but nowhere near the heavy offerings of $10MM+

Planning to visit the Aleutians?

by Anonymousreply 20March 23, 2021 2:43 AM

You want that view, you put up with the close quarters.
