Aaron could have vers.. his brothers book talks about a time he caught Aaron in bed with some guys on a bachelor party in FL. So, I watched the three-part Netflix docu-series. I highly recommend it. I'm not sure Ryan Murphy needs to make a show out of it now, because they touch on everything important here: the domineering homophobic father, the sexual abuse from the babysitter, the secret gay relationship with his schoolmate, the motivation to excel in a field like football which courts toxic masculinity/closet lifestyle, having a beard, CTE, falling into the wrong group of people, drugs, guns. What's scary is that without his own home surveillance footage, he may not even have gotten convicted. Proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt is not easy.

After taking this all into consideration, it would be unsurprising to me if Hernandez actually killed the two Cape Verde chaps for spilling a drink on him (and their families will never receive justice). I have no idea why he killed Odin Lloyd and it probably doesn't matter, but, thankfully, the conviction stood.

Hernandez embodied so much of what disturbs me about the culture. The deep-rooted national zeal for such a violent, moneymaking sport that encourages self-loathing homophobia and permanent brain injuries with fatal, prematurely debilitating consequences for not only the individual, but those in their sphere. And, on top of it, GUNS! I once long-believed that the second amendment could be kept in check, but I'm finally at the point where I've accepted that 1) nothing will ever change and 2) even if you could employ sensible gone laws all around, it's not going to change the culture that thirsts for this shit. Football and guns: two quintessential American elements, neither of which I can relate to. Those or the underlining Christianity.

Also, it's sad that Hernandez' beard chooses his memory over her own sister. HER OWN SISTER, the boyfriend of whom he murdered in cold blood. Damn. Blood isn't thicker than water I guess.

Gronk has lucked out, and/or been put on some meds to calm him down. He was a wild child for awhile, and is now doing adverts aimed at fraus. I recall one (can't find it now) where he was shilling Coach purses on IG.

OP, I think that he attempted to walk off the set because he realized that the situation required a moderately thoughtful answer, which neither he nor his idiotic father and siblings are capable of giving, as R10 proves.

I think that their relationship was built around simple concepts such as "we throw the ball, we crash into people, then we drink 'cause we're happy", as at least Gronkowski seems unable to understand life in any more complex terms. I suppose that realizing that there was an entire other dimension to Hernández (a very dark and destructive one, at that), was quite overwhelming for him. Moreover, he probably feels uneasy having to talk about anything deeper than sports, girls, cars and parties, as that must take a lot of effort for his 1/2 of a neurone to process.

Still, he is rich and his sunny disposition guarantees that he will have a long career of well-remunerated daytime TV blandness, so he'll be fine.
