R10 / R11, there is obviously software editing at work there, but it would be outrageous for her to present a completely fake, newly-thin version of herself on her album cover if she weren’t in fact newly thin in reality.

I’m not a k.d. lang “stan” or anything—I mean, I like “Constant Craving”—but she has always come across as too ‘real’ for a lame Photoshop stunt.

Exactly, r22. The cover art is conceptual; it goes with the "makeover" concept of remixing some of her old music.

Comparable to the art on her 1997 album "Drag", which featured her in drag, and consisted entirely of the songs that mentioned smoking (as in "dragging on a cig", get it?).

That's one of my favorite albums of hers, btw.

Sadly R25, they're not new remixes, but previously released ones. A lot of them are edits, and they left out some notable ones such as the full Junior Vasquez mix of Valley of The Dolls (the 7" edit is there), the Peter Rauhofer remix of Consequences of Falling and the Angel Moraes (RIP) remix of Sexuality (including two of the other less superior mixes).

That said, I ordered the colored vinyl as soon as I saw her post yesterday.

While I find almost all butches in the entertainment industry hideously ugly, I like her and understand how she can look beautiful/handsome (yes even older and fatter). She seemed like one of the rare, sane, smart women in the industry. Imagine my shock to see her have fallen for that pronoun - worse, "she/they" - crap!
