How can such a fascinating person have such a dull documentary. No mention of her affairs. Skipped over major movies. What a snooze fest. And I’m a huge fan

The same way she got such a crappy made for TV movie about her life 20 years ago. Her family took the money and ran.

I agree. Very boring and depressing.

They should have just called it -- Audrey- The UNICEF years. Robert Wolders was fine. Any dirt? From Merle Oberon's protege to Audrey

Her granddaughter was interviewed yet she looks so young I wonder if she even remembers Audrey. The whole thing made me sad.

I liked it. It took a different angle then just the typical E True Hollywood Story thing. It was kind of slow and sad though. I never knew that was her ex husband on Falcon Crest. I got sick of hearing the word iconic.

r5 Why ? Audrey is as iconic as any one from the movies can get.

Wolders seemed to have a things for older famous women. After Audrey, he was with Henry Fonda's widow, Shirlee Fonda. He must be very well endowed.

With whom did Hepburn have affairs, OP?
This interview at 3.00 hints at some dissatisfaction.

The ballet dancer sequences were completely unnecessary and I agree they inexplicably left out many of her movies—-why?

Well there's now a possible tv show in the works about Audrey Hepburn formative years.

Beautiful woman, a good person, but i found her pretty dull.

I agree, R5, I get sick of movie stars being labelled "iconic".
It's an insult to Greek saints.

EGOT and iconic.

In this interview she says three times that she was never an actress. Odd.

I enjoyed the documentary, it shined a light on AH and her life that I had not known about. I agree, the ballet dancer sidebars were bizarre and took away from the film. I understand what the producers were trying to do, but it just became unnecessary filler.
Don’t expect a reality teevee type of sensationalism in a documentary, it’s a lens of disclosure meant to document an aspect of a subject’s life.

Its a money grab lite doc by Sean (not Lucca). The grand daughter wasn't born until after Audrey's death.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 15, 2021 1:46 PM |
She was documented the way she lived her life, so this all sounds about right.
