Collars don't serve much purpose if you're not wearing a tie, but a collarless button-up shirt makes you look like a cater waiter or part of an Indian wedding party.
What do you think of collarless dress shirts?

I always feel like a fashion don't when wearing a collared shirt and collared jacket.

These were a thing in the late 90's.
Then they went away.

High-end designers are always trying to make this look happen

I loved them and wish they'd come back in style.

On OP's model the shirt looks great. On me it looks like shit. Out of fairness, I think the model should take his shirt off...

Beautiful. Look very elegant on slim/toned men.

I used to wear these.
I remember liking the look at first, but then I got bored with it and went back to collared shirts.
People always seem to go back to the tried-and-true basics.
These types of trends never last.

These are Nehru collars. I love them!
They were in style in the late 80’s and early 90’s but then fell out of fashion.
I hope they come back soon

Very cool shirt

Nehru jackets should make a comeback!

OP is trolling. He is behind most of the racist threads. This thread has nothing to do with a shirt. He and his troll farm minions will soon start dragging India and probably the Nehru activist.
Whatever his agenda, it is not about a shirt with no collar.

Pathetic, really.

I've known them to be mandarin collar shirts and yeah they have made their way back into fashion, eldergays. The kids love 90s referencing the early 90s era fashions now. I see guys with them on sometimes but they might not be as popular as they were then
Like most clothes, a certain body type to looks best in them, slim with broad shoulders

I like them on handsome men with nice necks. But that kind of man can wear anything of course.

Not for the undiscrimating queens on here who start at least 5 threads a week gushing about the latest news in fast food and even giving up their principles for Chick-fil-A.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 14, 2021 1:42 AM |
Not that anyone cares but these were a thing in the mid to late seventies as well.

R18 - honey on DL if you make a thread about anything - be it favorite pie to adorable puppies - some paranoid hysterical queen will immediately write TROLL!!!!
Witness exhibit A @ R12 and his ardent supporter, genial exhibit B @ R13.

There are good and bad versions of every type of item of clothing. It’s not that this style of shirt can look good or not full stop, rather it’s about finding one that’s the right material / shape / fit for your body so that the overall effect is maximized. And if you have a personal style finding one that corresponds in some way to that. It’s totally arbitrary and redundant to say “is this in fashion is it cool?” Unless it’s a trend piece (which is usually defined by specific print / material / branding whatever.

I love this style. And it is so comfortable too.

It’s fine for a dressy casual look, but you run the risk of looking like a member of the Iranian parliament.

Michael Jordan the basketball player always wore those shirts with a suit jacket.
