I must have watched that movie 20x in the 80s

That line is awesome: Yes, there are thousands and thousands of uses for corn, all of which I will tell you about right now.

I will always love Tina Fey's comment on Jan Hooks' passing: "What a talent. Jan should have had a real film career. If Rob Fucking Schneider can have a film career, Jan Hooks deserved a film career."

I haven’t watched that scene in several years. I just rewatched it an laughed like I did the first time I saw it. Love it!

I think Tina was my role model. And Pee wee and his masturbation habit.

She had her many moments on SNL. I always loved the Sweeney Sisters. And there was a great black and white short on SNL where she played an old woman visiting her memories in a bank vault. I always thought she was slightly miscast in Designing Women, something wasn’t clicking.

Even though she was a bit miscast on Designing Women and the show was on its last legs when she joined, she still managed to create a character with life and vitality. She was committed at least. I admired that about her.

Fantastic scene and PeeWee’s expression in that still pic sums up about 65% of my life!

This randomly reminded me of the scene in "The Jerk" where the carnie takes Nathan's virginity.

I was surprised to read in one of the SNL books that she had crippling stage fright. She always came across as such a confident performer.

Jan Hooks was a brilliant comedic actress. It's a shame her personal problems made her withdraw, she deserved a much better career.

Amazing the difference in the quality of writing for that SNL sketch. That is how you write comedy.

And she was awesome as Jenna's trashy Florida mom on 30 Rock. Gone too soon, but she left a lot of comedy gems behind.

Jan Hooks was an insanely talented comedic actress and Designing Women was not worthy of her talents, but Big Three Network $$$ is hard to turn down.

Jan Hooks is a Beloved DL Icon. Love her. Brilliant comedienne.

It was there for her to run with, but Jan Hooks didn’t want a big career. Many people have mentioned that she got a lot of offers over the years and turned them all down.

She had personal problems and an alcohol problem. She spent roughly the last dozen or so years of her life as a semi-recluse at her house near Woodstock, NY, drinking and smoking non-stop. Throat cancer was what got her.

My favorite was her Bette Davis sketch, there are just so many off the wall references. Lon Chaney, Wallace Beery, etc.

Jan as the ancient, addled, post-stroke Bette Davis was hysterical.
